Abstract

Cacing merupakan spesies yang banyak ditemukan, memiliki tubuh yang kecil dan lunak tidak bercangkang berbentuk simetri bilateral atau bilateral simetri. Cacing diketahui mampu dijadikan alternatif pengobatan bagi masyarakat dikarenakan dalam tubuh cacing mengandung banyak senyawa kimia yang memiliki berbagai macam aktivitas farmakologi, maka dari itu dilakukan review artikel ini dengan tujuan mengetahui aktivitas farmakologi serta kandungan kimia dari spesies cacing. Pencarian data dilakukan menggunakan Google Scholar dan PubMed. Menggunakan kata kunci “aktivitas farmakologi cacing” “pharmacologycal activity of worm”. Sumber atau referensi yang diperoleh merupakan jurnal dari 10 tahun terakhir, Original Research dan Review/Open Review berbahasa Indonesia dan inggris. Hasil yang diperoleh berbagai macam jenis cacing dari berbeda jenis memiliki aktivitas farmakologi seperti Cacing Tanah (Pheritema sp.) memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri karena mengandung senyawa aktif Alkaloid; Siklo-(fenilalanil-prolil) dan sedanolide. Cacing laor (Lysidice Oela) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri karena mengandung senyawa aktif Bromophenol; Asam Laktat (BAL. Cacing Tanah (Lumbricus Rubellus) memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan antitumor karena mengandung senyawa aktif Lumbricin dan Cairan selom (CFL). Cacing tanah (Pheretima aspergillum) memiliki aktivitas Osteoporosis dan Antiasma karena mengandung senyawa aktif Gli-colipoprotein (G-90), histamin dan ovalubumin. Cacing Biru (Peryonix excavatus) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri karena mengandung senyawa aktif alakolid. Cacing Tambelo (Bactronophorus) memiliki aktivitas antikanker karena mengandung senyawa aktif flavonoid dan tannin, Cacing Tanah (Eudrilus eugeniae) memiliki aktivitas antidiabetik dan antioksidan karena mengandung senyawa aktif fenolik dan protein lendir. Cacing Laut (Eunice siciliensis) memiliki aktivitas antidiabetik dan antimikroba karena mengandung senyawaa aktif alkaloid dan flavonoid.

Abstract

Fats or triglycerides are compounds derived from glycerin with three fatty acids, which in the intestine are hydrolyzed into their components. Fatty acids can be obtained from various sources, both animal and vegetable. Fatty acids derived from animal fats are unsaturated fatty acids contained in fish oil. Fatty acids derived from several types of vegetable oils, such as palm oil and cocoa butter, contain saturated fatty acids consisting of palmitic acid (C16H31COOH) and stearic acid (C17H35COOH). Obtaining fatty acids can be conducted by the isolation method, so that the type of fatty acids contained in a sample can be determined, the purpose of this study is to determine the types of fatty acids isolated from various sources of raw materials using the literature review study method. The results of various studies show that fatty acids can be obtained from various natural materials such as animal and vegetable products, including oil palm skin, shark liver oil, catfish oil, wet and dry Moringa seeds, nutmeg seed oil, melinjo fruit seeds, marine yeast oleaginous, olive oil, and fusarium verticilloides species. The types of fatty acids obtained were oleic acid, palmitic fatty acid, DHA, omega 3 and omega 6, trimyristin fatty acid, isanic acid, linoleic acid, stearic acid, palmitoleic acid. So that by isolating the sample, it can be known the type of fatty acids contained in it, both from animals and plants.

Abstract

The use of animals is not only used as a raw material for food, but on the other hand it turns out that animals can be used as important biomaterials for medical applications such as collagen. This review article discusses the utilization of collagen from various types of animals according to the relevant parameters. Article reviews are expected to provide scientific information about the various types of collagen in animals. The method used is literature study by looking for several different journal sources. The inclusion data used in this review are journals for the last 10 years (2012-2022). Collagen is usually found in the skin of cows and pigs, but these two animals are still a problem in Indonesia. Apart from these two, collagen can also be found in mammals such as buffalo and chickens, but they need to be slaughtered to get the halal aspect. Collagen can also be found in marine life such as sea urchins, tuna, catfish, skipjack tuna, sea catfish, milkfish, tilapia, machete fish, cod, green mussels, blood clams, and gamma sea cucumbers.

Abstract

Banana heart has many benefits for the body, the potential as an antioxidant owned by the ambon banana heart is needed by the body to delay, slow down and prevent the risk caused by free radicals. The purpose of this study was to compare extracts from the heart of Ambonese bananas (Musa paradisiaca var. sapientum L) that can produce the best antioxidant activity. The antioxidant test was carried out using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-pikrilhydrazil) method, this antioxidant activity test was measured using a UV-Visibe spectrophotometer. The results of the study used three extracts namely ethanol extract, ethyl acetate extract and n-hexane extract of ambon banana heart has activity as an antioxidant. The intensity of antioxidant activity successively from the highest was ethanol extract of 71,129 μg/mL (strong), n-hexane extract of 101,990 μg/mL (medium), ethyl acetate extract of ambon banana heart of 135,311 μg/mL (medium) so that of the three extracts that have the strongest antioxidant activity potential against DPPH free radicals is ambon banana heart ethanol extrac

Abstract

According to several studies, Kangkung Pagar (Ipomoea carnea Jacq.) that have many beneficial properties. Theaim of this study are to characterize the secondary methabolites from ethanol extract and determine antibacterialactivity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Methode s of this study are maceration by ethanol, fractionation bycolumn chromatography and antibacterial activity assay by disc diffusion method. Melting point of compound139-140ºC. The results from characterization by Uv-Vis and IR spectroscopy is flavan 3-ol or catechin. Theresult of antibacterial activity against psudomonas aeruginosa had strong level of activity.
