Abstract

Introduction: Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication characterized by hypertension occurring at a gestational age of ≥ 20 weeks. In preeclampsia, hematological changes occur due to vasospasm. Vasospasm leads to endothelial damage of blood vessels, marked by an increase in hematocrit and leukocyte levels. Objectives: This study was conducted to determine whether there is a difference in hematocrit and leukocyte levels between pregnant women with preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia. Methods: A cross-sectional, comparative study strategy was employed in this investigation. The sample for this study included all 76 pregnant patients at Genteng Regional Hospital who had preeclampsia or severe preeclampsia in 2023. 38 pregnant women with preeclampsia and 38 pregnant women with severe preeclampsia made up the two groups into which the sample was split. Results: The findings of the study indicated that there is a significant difference in hematocrit levels between preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia, with the p-value = 0.001 being less than α = 0.05. Furthermore, the findings revealed a significant difference in leukocyte counts between preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia, with a p-value = 0.003, which is likewise less than α = 0.05. Conclusions: There is a significant difference in hematocrit and leukocytes in pregnant women with PE and PEB at Genteng Regional Hospital in 2024.

This means that there is a difference in nutritional status in adolescents before and after being given intervention. Conclusion: Family Based Overweight Intervention Overweight Knowledge (f-book) affects nutritional status

Abstract

Introduction: In the initial stages of labor, especially during the first stage's active phase, mothers experience severe pain, which can be a major hurdle. Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy on pain levels of mothers in active labor. Methods: This research employed a pre-experimental approach with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The sample consisted of 32 mothers in labor who were selected using purposive sampling and met the inclusion criteria. The primary method of data collection was a subjective pain measurement on a numeric scale. The analysis was done using the Wilcoxon test to assess the change of pain levels when lavender aromatherapy was administered. Results: Results: The results showed that after applying lavender aromatherapy, most respondents who initially felt moderate or severe pain were able to reduce the level of pain to mild pain. This change was statistically significant with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusions: This study proves that lavender aromatherapy is effective in managing labor pain in mothers in the active phase. Considering the findings of this study, lavender aromatherapy can be regarded as a simple and efficient non-drug method for managing labor pain.
