Abstract

Transportation in the palm oil industry plays a strategic role, particularly in ensuring the smooth distribution of Crude Palm Oil (CPO). PT. X is a company engaged in CPO transportation services, also known as a transporter. The company operates 12 vehicles. PT. X's workflow begins with contract agreements with various clients to transport CPO from loading locations to unloading destinations as stipulated in the contracts. Each vehicle is allocated to a contract that matches its capacity and capabilities. After allocation, the vehicles transport the CPO from the loading site to the designated unloading site. Differences in distance and travel conditions between the loading and unloading locations cause variations in travel duration for each vehicle. Scheduling uncertainties often make it difficult for field employees to estimate the number of trips each vehicle can complete. Consequently, some clients have complained about delays in contract fulfillment by PT. X. This research aims to analyze the efficiency of travel time for CPO transport vehicles using the Fuzzy Mamdani method. The main focus is on variables such as loading and unloading times, average vehicle speed, and travel distance. The collected data were processed through the stages of fuzzification, inference, and defuzzification to generate travel time estimates. The results show that the Fuzzy Mamdani-based system can accurately predict travel times. This method also facilitates operational decision-making in managing CPO transportation, thereby minimizing delays and improving efficiency. The implementation of this system significantly contributes to optimizing vehicle allocation and supporting the smooth execution of transportation contracts

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based promotion catalog system to support the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Pekan Kuala. With increasing competition in the marketplace, the MSMEs sector needs an effective platform to promote products and services to a wider audience. The proposed system is built using a web-based framework, offering an accessible and user-friendly interface that enables MSMEs to manage and showcase their products online. To ensure an efficient development process, this project adopts the Agile Scrum methodology, which emphasizes iterative progress, adaptability, and close collaboration between stakeholders. The system was developed in phases, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing. Agile Scrum allowed for continuous feedback and improvements, resulting in a flexible and scalable solution. The final product not only streamlines the promotion process for MSMEs but also enhances their online visibility, potentially boosting sales and market reach. The system’s usability and effectiveness were evaluated through user testing, with positive feedback from both MSMEs participants and potential customers. This research highlights the benefits of Agile Scrum in developing tailored digital solutions for local businesses and underscores the potential of web-based systems in empowering small enterprises.

Abstract

Sugarcane leaf diseases are a serious threat in sugarcane farming because they can significantly reduce productivity and can cause major losses in yields if not detected early. Therefore, fast and accurate disease management is needed to prevent further losses. This study aims to develop a deep learning model based on MobileNetV2 with fine-tuning techniques to effectively detect sugarcane leaf diseases. Fine-tuning is a method used to adjust the parameters of a pre-trained model on a more specific target dataset. The dataset contains images of sugarcane leaves that have been classified per class based on the type of disease. In this study, fine-tuning was performed on the MobileNetV2 architecture that had been previously trained using the sugarcane leaf dataset. The fine-tuning process was carried out by rearranging the top few layers of MobileNetV2 and adding a special classification layer to predict the class of sugarcane leaf diseases. The model was trained through two stages: initial training to obtain a baseline performance and fine-tuning by opening several layers of MobileNetV2. In the initial evaluation, the model achieved a validation accuracy of 93.12%. After fine-tuning, the accuracy increased to 95.01%, indicating that this technique was able to significantly improve disease detection capabilities. The results of this study provide important contributions in the field of agriculture, especially in supporting the sustainability of sugarcane production through artificial intelligence-based technology. The implementation of the proposed model is expected to help farmers detect diseases more quickly and take timely preventive measures, thereby reducing losses.

Abstract

In the current digital era, the demand for skilled graphic designers is increasingly high. The selection process for graphic designers often requires complex evaluations with various criteria, which can lead to subjectivity in decision-making. This research aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Operational Competitiveness Rating Analysis (OCRA) method to simplify and improve the accuracy of the graphic designer selection process. The OCRA method is chosen for its ability to handle multi-criteria decision-making problems with different weights. The development of this DSS involves identifying and evaluating five main criteria in the selection of graphic designers, namely: education, work experience, design quality, creativity and innovation, and experience working in various institutions. Each criterion has a different assessment weight according to its level of importance. This system is designed to reduce subjectivity by providing objective preference values based on OCRA calculations. This research aims to develop a DSS in the selection of graphic designers using the OCRA method. The OCRA method is chosen for its ability to address multi-criteria decision-making problems with different weights. The proposed DSS helps reduce subjectivity and increase efficiency in the selection process. The research results show that based on the application of the OCRA method, the highest result among several alternatives is achieved by Ridho Permana with a score of 3.284. The OCRA method is effective in determining the best graphic designer candidate based on preference values calculated from various available alternatives. By applying the OCRA method, it is expected that the graphic designer selection process will become more objective and structured.

Abstract

DISPERKIM Lombok Tengah is in an effort to improve services to the community by utilizing existing information technology, one of which is using the website. Bad user interface and user experience design from a website will make users uncomfortable and leave the website. However, the current website has not maximized the utilization of user interface and user experience. As for the results of the questionnaire conducted on 30 respondents, 5% felt bad, 43% of respondents felt it was enough, 33% felt it was quite bad, 18% felt it was quite good and 1% felt good, for the appearance and the availability of information on the DISPERKIM Lombok Tengah website right now. The method used in designing UI/UX on the DISPERKIM Lombok Tengah website uses the Design Thinking method. The Design Thinking method has five stages, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. The wireframe and prototypes are designed by using the Figma application. The Prototype results have passed the testing process to users with good results. So that the proposed design has met the needs of users and can be continued to be implemented. The prototype design is expected to increase interaction satisfaction between the user and the DISPERKIM Lombok Tengah website

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a QR Code-based attendance system as an innovation in managing student attendance at SMA Negeri 1 Binjai. Traditional paper-based or manual attendance systems often take a long time, are prone to errors, and are inefficient in archiving student attendance data. To overcome these obstacles, a QR Code-based attendance system was developed using scanning technology that allows each student to take attendance quickly and accurately. Using research and development methods, this system was designed through the stages of needs analysis, system design, development, and testing in the school environment. This system uses a mobile device combined with an online database, so that attendance data can be directly stored and accessed by the school in real-time. The test results showed that the QR Code-based attendance system was able to reduce attendance time from around 5 minutes to 1-2 minutes per class, increase the accuracy of attendance data recording, and automatically save data in the database. Surveys of users, namely students and teachers, showed a positive response, with 87% of students feeling that attendance was easier and more efficient, while teachers stated that this system reduced the administrative burden. This system also provides added value in terms of transparency, accuracy, and ease of access for teachers, students, and parents. This innovation is expected to be a solution in more modern and effective attendance management in other schools
