Abstract

The library as an institution that manages information sources should be used as the main key in the existing education and training process, both in the school environment, outside of school, the world of work and society in general. However, the reality is still far from expectations. Libraries are still not really popular in the community, this is marked by low public interest in reading and lack of awareness that learning must find information or answers to the problems they face. Along with the development of science and technology, the concept of libraries has also developed, which needs to adapt instead only handles the collection of information sources in the form of print media, but must be open to the inclusion of audio-visual media and the possibility of the inclusion of other functions. With a vision for the future, the library should also be ready to become a center of information sources in the truest sense. Based on the description above, the problems to be studied can be formulated as follows: How is the student's interest in reading in the library at MAN 2 Jombang?, What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in reading interest in the library at MAN 2 Jombang?, How are the teacher's efforts in fostering student interest in reading? MAN 2 Jombang ? The purpose of this study was to find out how much influence reading interest had on student learning outcomes at MAN 2 Jombang in the 2019-2020 school year. What factors were found to increase the reading interest of the students of MAN 2 Jombang. The school library aims to gather information, create an organized knowledge container, foster the ability to enjoy imaginative experiences. To find out what can be done to increase children's interest in reading. This journal uses qualitative research methods. In this case, the researcher uses qualitative research because the researcher wants to know what kind of learning methods have been implemented by PAI teachers at MAN 2 Jombang to increase students' reading interest in the MAN 2 Jombang library. The library as an institution that manages information sources should be used as the main key in the existing education and training process, both in the school environment, outside of school, the world of work and society in general. Abstract

Mathematical literacy is very important. This is because mathematical literacy emphasizes the ability of students to analyze, argue about ideas effectively in solving mathematical problems they encounter (OECD, 2009, p.19). Judging from various things, the ministry of education and culture has actually anticipated it by making several curriculum changes. However, in the period 2000 until now there have been three types of curriculum that have been implemented, namely the 2004 curriculum, 2006 curriculum and 2013 curriculum. And by mastering students' mathematical literacy, individuals will be able to reflect on mathematical logic to play a role in their lives, communities, and society. Mathematical literacy makes individuals able to make decisions based on a constructive mathematical mindset. Realistic mathematics learning presents a contextual problem that can be related to local excellence-based educational games. The main goal is that students have high mathematical communication skills towards mathematics. Selin, the introduction of local excellence in educational games to students through learning that can be used as a way to grow the character of students to the local culture of the nation of Indonesia. Advances in technology and information that are not balanced with strong filters will affect the lifestyle of a foreign country. In this development using procedural development model. The development model in this study led to the development model of Sugiyono (2015). However, in this study not all steps are applied, this is because the research conducted is still on a limited scale with no cover into the wider research. Therefore it stages of development begins by doing 1. Planning with identification of potential problems, 2. Create a new design, 3. Validate the design, 4. Design revision, 5. Validate the design and the last 6. Product trials.

Abstract

Mathematics has a very important role in everyday life, where almost everything around us is related to mathematics, including culture in our society, especially concept of geometric shapes. However, the mathematics lessons that students learn at school are sometimes different from the mathematical problems encountered in everyday life, which makes it difficult for students to relate mathematical concepts to problems from real-world contexts. Therefore, teachers and educators could employ innovative and relevant teaching materials, which is also intended to increase the motivation of students to learn the theoretical material presented. Which is an abstract mathematical concept. One of teaching materials that can be used is the Student Worksheet (LKPD). In order for LKPD to be relevant to the real life of students, mathematical activities in LKPD are arranged using activities related to the daily lives of students, especially for junior high school students (SMP/MTs). Therefore, this research is about the development students’ worksheet in Triangles and Quadrilaterals concept within contextual problems for VII grade students. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) research, by adapting ADDIE model. The study was conducted at a class of VII at MTsN 4 Jombang. The results show that the Triangles and Quadrilaterals worksheet within contextual problems are valid and practical. Besides that, the results of the implementation of the Triangles and Quadrilaterals worksheet within contextual problems in this study showed that only focus on mathematical activities to solve procedural problems without relating them to real contexts in everyday life.
