Abstract

Stress can be seen as an emotional reaction that is quite often felt during pandemics. PDSKJI conducted a survey on mental health of 1,552 respondents, as many as 80% of respondents had symptoms of psychological posttraumatic stress due to experiencing or witnessing unpleasant events related to COVID-19. One of the strategies implemented by the Ministry of Health to control COVID-19 disease is the expansion of COVID-19 screening. However, there are many rejections from the public to carry out RDT COVID-19 examinations. This study aims to find out for differences in stress based on physiological and psychological aspects of RDT COVID-19 examination on employees at Bahteramas Hospital in Southeast Sulawesi Province in 2020. This research uses a type of quantitative research with comparative design. The population in this research is 1,060 employees and a sample of 290 employees. The sampling techniques in this study used stratified random sampling propotional techniques and used Mann Whitney statistical tests. The results showed a significant difference in stress in the fiological aspect between management and non-management employees (p-value = 0.040 < 0.05) against the examination of RDT COVID-19, on the contrary there was no significant difference in stress on the psychological aspect between management employees and non-management (installation employees) (p-value = 0.356 > 0.05) to RDT COVID-19 examination. The conclusion is that there are differences in stress based on physiological aspects and no differences in stress based on psychological aspects of RDT COVID-19 examination at Bahtramas Hospital in Southeast Sulawesi Province

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or if the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. This research aims to analyze the risk factors against type 2 diabetes mellitus disease in the working area of Puskesmas Wawotobi Konawe District in 2020. This study used a case control study design. The population in this study were all patients who checked themselves at the Public Poly of Puskesmas Wawotobi Konawe Regency in January to August 2020. The sample in this research totalled 120 samples (60 cases and 60 controls). Sampling using probability sampling technique by means of simple random sampling. The results showed the risk factors of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus disease i.e body mass index P-value = 0.003, OR = 3.237 (CI 95% 1,529-6,853), upper arm circumference P-value = 0.001, OR = 3.923 (CI 95% 1,806-8,524), abdominal circumference P-value = 0.000, OR = 5.675 (CI 95% 2,560-12,580), and sleep quality P-value = 0.001, OR = 5.923 (CI 95% 2,056-17,064). The conclusion is that body mass index, upper arm circumference, abdominal circumference, and sleep quality are risk factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus disease in patients visiting in Puskesmas Wawotobi Konawe district in 2020. The community is expected to play an active role in preventing the occurrence of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Psychosomatic is a physical disorder in which psychological factors play a role in helping the emergence or cause of the appearance of a physical disorder as a result of excessive physiological activity in reacting to emotional symptoms.  The Directorate of Mental Health of the Ministry of Health shows that about 30% of visitors from one of the health centers in Jakarta are psychosomatic patients. This study aims to find out the relationship of mental health (fear, stress, and sleep disorder) with the onset of psychosomatic symptoms of COVID-19 in Halu Oleo University students in 2020. This study used observational analytics with Cross Sectional Study approach using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique of 391 people. Sampling is done online using the google form platform. Statistical test using chi-square test with the results showed 96 (24.6%) respondents experienced psychosomatic symptoms, it was found that there was no significant association between fear and psychosomatic symptoms (p value = 0.503 > 0.05) and variable stress with  psychosomatic symptoms (p value = 0.444 > 0.05), on the contrary there was a significant association between sleep disorder variables and psychosomatic symptoms  (p value = 0.018 < 0.05). The conclusion of this study variable fear and stress did not have a significant relationship with the onset of psychosomatic symptoms in students, otherwise the variable sleep disorders had a significant association with the onset of psychosomatic symptoms in students. students are expected to add insight related to psychosomatic symptoms so that students can be more aware of their own mental health, because it can make the onset of psychosomatic symptoms

Abstract

Corona-virus is one of the main pathogens targeting the human respiratory system, prevention can be done by observing health protocols, one of them is maintaining physical distance (physical distancing). The implementation of maintaining physical distance (physical distancing) will not be optimal if it is not supported by citizens' compliance with the policy. Residents who do not comply with physical distancing can result in the number of Covid-19 cases continuing to increase. The aim of this research is to determine the factors related to citizen compliance in the application of Physical Distancing in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic in Mandonga District in 2020.  This research is a quantitative analytic study with a cross sectional study approach.  The sample in this research used a proportional random sampling technique of 366 people.  Statistical test using chi square test.  Collected by questionnaire method using google form.  The results of this research indicate that there is a relationship between perceptions and residents' compliance in implementing physical distancing in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic (p value = 0.002 < 0.05), there is a relationship between the role of health workers and residents' compliance in implementing physical distancing in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic (p value = 0.006 < 0.05), and there is a relationship between family support and residents' compliance in implementing physical distancing in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic (p value = 0.000 <0.05).  The conclusion is that there is a relationship between perceptions, the role of health workers, family support and residents' compliance in implementing physical distancing in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Covid-19 is an inflammatory disease of the lungs that is similar to Pneumonia disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, a type of corona-virus. Rainfall can affect changes in temperature to become cold which makes SARS-CoV-2 more spread out optimally. This study purpose to determine the description of rainfall on the Covid-19 case in Southeast Sulawesi 2020. The research used is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were all monthly Covid-19 cases (March, April, May, June, July, and August 2020) that were recorded at the Southeast Provincial Health Office. The sample in this study were the entire population (Total Sample) of monthly Covid-19 cases recorded at the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Health Office and rainfall recorded at the Konawe Selatan Climatology Station in March-August 2020. The results of this study indicate that, rainfall tends to affect Covid-19 cases in Southeast Sulawesi, this can be seen in March the rainfall was 231.1 mm / month with 3 cases of Covid-19, April the rainfall increased from the previous month of 252.9 mm / month with the addition of cases Covid-19 of 59 cases, in May the rainfall increased by 354.1 mm / month with 182 cases, in June the rainfall decreased by 299.9 mm / month with Covid-19 cases of 199 cases, in July the rainfall decreased with Covid-19 cases of 419 cases, and in August the rainfall decreased by 53.7 mm / month with Covid-19 of 419 cases. This illustrates that in March-June rainfall tends to affect the addition of confirmed Covid-19 cases and in July-August tends to be influenced by Population Mobility and the lack of application of health protocols (wearing masks and maintaining distance) in the people of Southeast Sulawesi.
