Abstract

The trash can is a place for humans to throw garbage, but the problem that arises is the laziness of humans to dispose of garbage in its place due to the dirty cover of the trash can, besides that smelly trash cans can also disturb people around them. Therefore, a tool is designed that can work to make it easier for humans to dispose of garbage in its place, dispose of garbage that already smells bad, and help cleaners in emptying the trash in a timely manner. Smart trash cans are the answer to the problem of people's laziness in disposing of garbage, foul-smelling garbage and the delay of cleaning staff in emptying the trash. Working with Arduino UNO, this tool is expected to be able to open the trash can cover automatically and notify if the existing garbage smells bad. By using an ultrasonic sensor and providing an indicator to the cleaning staff through the sound produced by the buzzer, this tool works when the foot or garbage is within the range of the ping sensor. In addition, the Buzzer function on this tool is to notify that the existing garbage has disturbed the human sense of smell. This can help humans in disposing of their trash without touching the lid of the trash can, emptying the trash in a timely manner, and reducing humans to inhale bad odors from existing trash cans

Abstract

Lights are one of the important components in lighting indoors and outdoors. Lights provide enormous benefits, especially at night. Light technology in providing lighting today has helped many people's activities in daily life. making other alternatives such as automatic smart lights that use modern technology so that the lights can turn on and off by utilizing an automatic light device by detecting Google's voice and Arduino Uno-based finger picking which can be received directly without having to touch the switch of the lamp. Because the lamp device is connected using a sound sensor which will be a parameter for the lamp and the Arduino UNO microcontroller as the brain of the process connected to the switch. The relay also functions so that the incoming electricity can be disconnected and connected automatically. If the input entered is read by the Arduino, the lamp can turn on based on the sound of finger picking and Google's voice. The purpose of this tool is to make it easier to turn off the lights, want to turn off the lights in a different way and save time without having to press the switch.

Abstract

This research is expected to increase the convenience for users of the design of a door security system using a knock sensor based on Arduino Uno. The analog signal generated from the sensor when given a knock will enter through the Arduino minimum system ADC (analog to digital converter) pin with the ATMega328P microcontroller IC. The test results show that the knock code given to this system is related to the number of beats and the value of the time interval or distance between each beat and is stored in the Array data type which forms a certain beat pattern used in the program. This knock interval value (knock password) will be stored first in the flash memory of the microcontroller. The knock system will start working by performing the accuracy of the interval between knocks, if the knock pattern matches the one previously stored, the door lock/unlock system and the LED will be active.

Abstract

The rising sophistication of information and communication technologies poses a communication problem for political parties and political actors. Social media provides not just rapid information but also exact categorization. In politics, communication strategy is one of the keys to success in garnering votes. This study tries to determine the social media-based political communication approach. This is a qualitative study employing a descriptive analysis methodology. Interview- and literature-based data collection. The results indicate that the use of social media is not constrained by social, economic, or political status; social media and mainstream mass media have different characteristics when it comes to disseminating messages to audiences; and social media is a supporter of political communication in democratic countries where developing traditional and social media for political communication may be the best way to maintain audience engagement and communication
