Abstract

Air fresheners are comfort-supporting products widely used for room freshness. The packaging used by MSME X for air freshener products is only plain plastic without product identity, and it still has shortcomings in terms of functionality such as product protection, ease of use, and ease of obtaining product information. The purpose of this research is to develop concepts and design elements for MSME X air freshener packaging by considering consumer needs. This study analyzed the design of MSME X air freshener packaging using the Kansei Engineering method to translate consumer perceptions of packaging design. The data obtained was processed using Principal Components Analysis (PCA) to analyze the Kansei words collected by questionnaire to derive design concepts. The Quantification Theory Type 1 (QTT-1) method was also used to measure the relationship between design elements and design concepts. An evaluation was then conducted using the fuzzy logic method to determine whether the design elements used aligned with the selected concepts. The PCA method in this study resulted in 1 selected Principal Component (PC) which was implemented as a concept, namely "Common and Efficient". Determination of design elements using the QTT1 method resulted in selected elements, namely X1.5 (ivory), X2.9 (oval), X3.9 (hanger + window), X4.1 (medium), X5.6 (sliding tray), X7.4 (directly printed on the packaging) for the Efficient concept and X1.2 (rigid plastic), X2.4 (standing pouch), X3.8 (air hole + hanger), X4.2 (small), X5.7 (flip top), X6.4 (fresh + matching aroma) and X7.5 (no design) for the Common concept.

Abstract

The increasing popularity of Japanese-origin animation industries or so-called “anime” attracts more interest from already-known fans and ordinary people who are just interested in watching. However, many viewers need advice in the form of recommendations for their preferred anime. This research aims to help viewers by developing a system that could provide some recommendations for several anime series related to the current series watched by the viewers. On the other side, this research could provide a reference to other researchers, especially those whose research focuses on Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Japanese Animation culture. In this paper, the K-Means Clustering method is used to build the clustering model based on the data series, and the Elbow Method is used to determine the appropriate number of clusters. The result of this research indicates that the system can provide several titles of anime series related to the initial title of the anime series entered by the user at each iteration.

Abstract

In this global pandemic of infectious diseases such as coronavirus-19 (COVID-19), Indonesia is one country that has a severe impact. In this situation, medical workers are arguably the most affected as they are the frontline in facing the pandemic. Their dedication and professionalism are put to a tough test; hence, they should stay healthy to provide treatment for the patients. However, in fact, many of them are infected by the coronavirus albeit the use of standard protective equipment and application of health protocols. In this study, a risk analysis on nurses working in inpatient wards for COVID-19 patients in quarantine was carried out. A Method of Human Error Analysis and Reduction Technique (HEART) was employed along with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). The results indicated that fatigue, comorbid, and boredom were the factors associated with the highest risk of virus infection. These results suggest that management should pay attention to these factors in the work design of medical personnel, especially those who treat patients with infectious diseases such as COVID-19. In conclusion, work design must implement appropriate work shifts, as well as the implementation of strict health protocols.

Abstract

In implementing the energy transition, electricity utility companies must be able to carry out future planning to replace electricity infrastructure from a fossil energy-based generation system to clean energy generation and new renewable energy (NRE) to achieve Net Zero Emission (NZE) conditions by 2060. Term planning. What has often been done so far is to use forecasting methods, which are made by utilizing historical databases and using many assumptions about economic, social, and environmental conditions, as well as other factors that are easily changed and close to uncertainty. Therefore, planning methods must consider possible changes and uncertainties with several possible scenarios. Scenario planning is planning with a strategic approach that focuses on the process, involving finding optimal strategies for several scenarios that can occur, and this method helps deal with uncertainty. This paper explores the development of alternative scenarios that may occur in 2045, using scenario planning to help electricity utility companies capture opportunities and offset threats. It focuses on formulating broad and innovative strategies for the energy transition in the electricity business.
