Abstract

Background: Depression is a disorder that is often not realized either from the sufferer or the people around him, therefore depression can also be referred to as an invisible disorder and is a health problem that often occurs in the elderly by affecting social interactions. This condition can also be one of the triggers for depression in the older adults. Objective: To find out the relationship of social interaction in influencing the level of depression in the elderly. Method: The method in writing this article is through a simple approach, searching the article database using Garuda and Goggle Scholar in the last 5 years from 2016 to 2020 and getting 10 articles. The inclusion criteria used are: Indonesia language articles, articles with older adults depression, articles on the relationship of social interaction with depression in the older adults, articles on the relationship between social support dan depression in the older adults, and articles on the relationship between social status and depression in the older adults. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, the results of social interaction, social support, and social status that affect depression in the elderly are obtained. Most only know that depression in the elderly is an emotion or mood that changes due to the aging process. Important interventions are carried out to reduce cases of depression in the elderly and can create prosperous elderly in the future. Conlusions: The application of social interaction for the elderly who are depressed is very effective and can be applied to influence the level of depression experienced by the elderly. The application is by interacting with family or with that there will be a tone of effect for the elderly.

Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 virus can’t be denied has provided a sudden and fundamental change in habits and lifestyle. The number of activities at home alone, raises concerns about the emergence of health problems, namely obesity. Obesity or commonly known as obesity is a problem that is quite troubling among adolescents, especially teenagers. Adolescents who are obese, later in adulthood tend to be obese. The goal of the study was to obtain data on factors associated with the incidence of obesity in adolescents during pandemic times. The method used is literature review. A systematic search of previous research in the form of journals to identify all published literature using relevant keywords. Based on the results of the review of articles from several studies there are several factors that affect the occurrence of obesity in adolescents during the pandemic, including; Physical activity, diet, consumption of junk food and fast food, intensity of social media use and parental history.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The impact of the spread of the spread of Covid-19 affects almost all people's lives and activities, both in terms of economy, social, education, and of course health. One of the keys to success in overcoming the transmission of Covid-19 from oneself is to increase the body's immune system or immune system so that it can strengthen the body to fight bacteria, viruses and disease-causing organisms. This study is a literature review study with the aim of knowing what factors can increase the body's immunity in an effort to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. The search was conducted using the Google Scholar database, with a systematic review. Initial search of 5,180 journal articles. After conducting a study based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, there are 6 journal articles that can be analyzed systematically. The results of a systematic review found various factors to increase body immunity in efforts to prevent Covid-19 such as exercising/physical activity, sunbathing, eating nutritious food and drinking vitamins.

Abstract

Covid-19 Pandemic struck Indonesia back in 2020 that makes Indonesia tighten its alertness to society in Covid-19 infection. Government policies such as large-scale social distancing (PSBB), restriction on community activities (PPKM) that affected several sectors, including health, social, economy, and education, even affect children and teenager mental health. The goal of this research is to know the mental health impact on children and adolescents during Covid-19 Pandemic. This research is using literature review method and electronic databases such as Google Scholar, Springer, PubMed using relevant keywords such as Pandemic, Mental Health, Children & Adolescents. The chosen articles are from 2019 – 2021, up to 11 articles. This research emphasizes recent articles, using cross-sectional method. In this research, it was found that the effects of mental health during pandemic towards children and teenager are anxiety, depression, social distance, social isolation, eating disorder, lack of parental attention, lack of parent’s economy, and domestic abuse.

Abstract

Adolescents are categorized as vulnerable to nutritional problems so that they are at risk for health. The prevalence of nutritional status of school-age children and adolescents based on Riskesdas 2013 data, BMI/U (thin and very thin) is 10.56%. The 2018 National Basic Health Research Survey (in Unicef Indonesia, 2021) shows that the burden of malnutrition in Indonesia is quite large, with more than a quarter of the youth population aged 13-15 years experiencing stunting or around 26%, 9% underweight (thin), and 16% obesity. Among adolescents aged 16-18 years, 27% were stunted, 8% were underweight, and 14% were obese. This study uses a literature review method and aims to determine the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of adolescents on a balanced nutritional. The results of a systematic study obtained a number of articles that matched the keywords and there were 15 articles analyzed. The population of balanced nutrition food research data from 2017-2021 is based on 15 articles analyzed with research samples of adolescents. Several health promotion influences have been identified, among others are knowledge, attitude, behavior, age and gender.
