Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of different doses of cow urine with the addition of bamboo shoots and Pumakkal on the growth of Pondoh eggplant plants. The researchers also sought to determine the most effective dose among these treatments. Additionally, the study aimed to utilize the research findings as a resource for biology learning through Learner Worksheets (LKPD). The research followed an experimental design using a completely randomized design (RAL), and the data were analyzed using Anava. The results indicated that the stem height and wet weight of pondoh eggplant fruit were significantly influenced by the treatments. Further analysis using the BNJ test identified treatment 3, comprising a dose of 300 mL of cow urine with bamboo shoots and Pumakkal, as the most effective. The research outcomes were utilized to create a biology learning resource called Project Based Learning (PjBL) based LKPD. The validation of the material, language, and design by experts yielded highly favorable results. The study concluded that the mixture of cow urine with bamboo shoots and Pumakkal positively impacted the growth of cow urine.

Abstract

In learning activities, teaching materials play a very important role. Open materials include printed books, modules, student worksheets, and handouts. Open materials in the form of printed books in schools are considered inadequate amidst the spread of technology that is currently developing and the student worksheets used does not meet the components of the worksheet elements. Based on this, a study has been conducted that aims to produce an Electronic student worksheets equipped with project assignments on changes in environmental material that are valid and practical. This study uses a research and development method often called research and development (R&D). This research instrument uses two questionnaires, namely the validity of the questionnaire and the practicality of the questionnaire using a Likert scale. The validity test was carried out by filling out the questionnaire by three lecturers while the practicality test was carried out by one biology teacher and 36 students at State Senior High School 16 Padang. The data obtained were analyzed using percentages and processed with descriptive analysis. The results of data analysis on the validity test of the Electronic Student Worksheet equipped with project assignments by the validator show that the Electronic Student Worksheet equipped with project assignments is in the very valid criteria with an average value of 92% and the practicality value of the Electronic Student Worksheet equipped with project assignments by the teacher is very practical criteria with an average value of 97% and by students, the criteria are very practical with an average of 94.4%. It can be concluded that the Electronic Student Worksheet equipped with project assignments on the material of environmental change for Phase E of Senior High Schools that was developed is very valid and practical.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of coffee processing techniques in determining the final taste of robusta coffee beans. Roasting and roasting techniques are two methods that are often used, but each technique has a different effect on the quality of coffee flavor. This research aims to compare the results of processing robusta coffee beans using these two techniques. This research aims to compare the results of roasting and roasting techniques on the taste of robusta coffee beans (Coffea robusta) in Hujung Village, West Lampung. The research method used was experimental with two treatments, namely roasting and roasting techniques. Taste testing is carried out by experienced panelists using organoleptic tests. The research results show that there is a significant difference in taste between coffee beans processed using roasting and roasting techniques. The panelists preferred coffee beans processed using the roasting technique compared to coffee processed using the roasting technique, this is because coffee beans processed using the roasting technique have a stronger aroma and stronger taste compared to coffee processed using the roasting technique, data from This research shows that the average value of the hedonic scale of the panelists' liking for technical roasted coffee in terms of aroma is 4.45, taste is 4.2 and taste impression is 3.75. Meanwhile, for the roasting technique, the average of the hedonic scale for the panelists' liking for the aroma aspect was 3.7, for the taste aspect it was 3.95 and for the taste impression aspect the average was 3.55. This research can be used as a biology learning resource for Class XII high school students on food technology material, especially in understanding processing processes and their influence on product quality.

Abstract

Biology is a science related to finding out and studying aspects of the life of living creatures in the universe. Biology does not only contain concepts or theories but also includes processes and attitudes, all of which need to be developed. The aims of this research are 1) to determine the science process skills in the Plant Cell material of Yos Sudarso Metro High School students. 2) to determine the difficulty of science process skills in Plant Cell material for Yos Sudarso Metro High School students. The subjects of this research were class Data collection was carried out using observation sheets to assess science process skills during research activities based on practical activities and learning outcomes using written evaluation tests with multiple choice questions. The results of this research are in the form of science process skills and the difficulties experienced by students during learning, namely: (1) the form of skill in each indicator of science process skills is (a) Skills in using tools and materials, being able to use tools and materials well and being able to say the function of the microscope part is 36.6%. (b) in the observation skills of students who can observe objects well and accurately mention cell organelles and their functions by 10%. (c) in communication skills that can convey the results obtained accurately and completely by 0.3%. (2) the form of difficulty experienced by students for each question on plant cell material, namely: (a) the average percentage of difficulty experienced by students in completing the name of the inventor of the cell is 10%. (b) The average percentage of difficulties experienced by students in completing cell organelle analysis is 25.2%. (c) The average percentage of difficulties experienced by students in completing analyzing the function of cell organelles is 21.6%.

Abstract

Maggot scum is a by-product of the maggot cultivation process (Hermetia illucens). Maggot can be used as organic fertilizer because it contains some nutrients needed by plants such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and also potassium. The objectives of this study are 1) to determine whether there is an effect of giving varying doses of ex-maggot (Hermetia illucens) on the growth of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala), 2) to determine the best treatment of giving varying doses of ex-maggot (Hermetia illucens) on the growth of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala), 3) to develop learning resources in the form of Learner Worksheets on class XII Senior High School growth and development material. This research is an experimental research using the Complete Randomized Design method. In the research conducted, there were 1 control and 3 treatments with dose information, control (only soil), treatment 1 (100 g of ex-maggot), treatment 2 (200 g of ex-maggot), and treatment 3 (300 g of ex-maggot). The growth parameters of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala) observed were plant height, number of leaves (strands), and wet weight of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala). Based on the results of the research and ANOVA test, there is an effect of giving variations in the dose of former maggot on the growth of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala). The further test used gives the result that the variation of the dose of ex-maggot 300 grams are the best treatment that gives effect to the growth of kale plants (Brassicca oleracea var. Achepala). The results of this study can also be used as a biology learning resource in the form of Learner Worksheet class XII Senior High School growth and development material.
