Abstract

North Kayong Regency is in the fishing area in WPP 711 which is the cumulative management area of the Karimata Strait, Natuna Sea and South China Sea areas, which allows this district to have large production potential in the fisheries sector. The potential of the fisheries sector in the large North Kayong Regency has not been fully utilized optimally due to the low availability of facilities and infrastructure for handling catches. As the capital of a district that has high potential for fish production, Sukadana does not yet have adequate catch handling facilities, so it is necessary to have facilities for fishermen and consumers, especially for the people of North Kayong Regency. The design of the Sukadana Clean Fish Market, Kayong Utara Regency aims to facilitate both in the food and economic sectors for the people of North Kayong Regency. The method used is the glass box method, which goes through several stages starting from collecting data related to fish market issues, identifying problems in the fish market, then obtaining theories related to clean fish markets as fish market standards based on relevant regulations, formulating design concepts, conducting analysis , then make pre-design drawings and technical drawings (DED). Through the design concept of a hygienic fish market in Sukadana District, Kayong Utara Regency, a fish market combines traditional market systems and modern markets which is presented in an open stall and a closed stall. The fish market with this concept was created by considering the needs and habits of the surrounding community which functions as a forum or place for buying and selling transactions as well as a place for processing fish and seafood.

Abstract

Wind load is one of the main calculations in architectural design, and in the initial process, a designer is more dominant in directing shapes based on structure rather than expressing himself in the form of his design work. While form is the basic element that appears in architectural work, there are various methods of finding forms that have appeared in the development of architectural science. For this reason, the concept of folding architecture is focused on how to process shapes, using the "folding extrude" technique to produce shapes that can reduce the amount of wind load. The object taken in this study is a tall building, with the chosen case study namely the Mahkota Hotel Singkawang, which is the tallest building in West Kalimantan Province. This study raises the simulation process to be carried out by digital simulation with Computational Fluid Dynamics in Autodesk CFD software. The results of this study are from the transformation of the folding extrude technique which has the same shape as one of the architectural elements. From the results of a comparison of the wind load on the surface of ordinary buildings and the results of the folding extrude form, it is proven to be able to reduce wind loads by 15.1%.

Abstract

The busyness that tends to be the same and the problems faced every day make people bored. You can relieve boredom by taking a vacation to natural attractions. Nature that has a varied topography such as hilly areas, beaches, valleys, and others gives rise to beautiful areas. One area that has topographic diversity is in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. One of the activities that can enjoy nature directly is camping / camping activities. Not everyone can do camping activities because the terrain is difficult to reach. Therefore, glamping (glamour camping) emerged which is a luxurious and practical camping activity as a solution. Glamping can be combined with resorts which are tourist attractions equipped with lodging facilities and produce glamping resorts that offer visitors the convenience of staying in the open. The method used is the J.C Jones method with direct data collection and based on literature studies. The aim of the design is to design a tourist area without destroying nature, to adapt to existing site conditions, and to be easy to pass. The result of the design is a tourist area that can be reached easily consisting of several masses of buildings that are placed in certain areas as facilities of the area such as glamping inns which are placed in the back area of the area and outbound which are placed scattered following the shape of the area's contours.

Abstract

Universities located in the city center and far from district locations and areas. Not a few students who migrate to continue their education to tertiary level. This condition certainly requires the existence of temporary housing for overseas students during their education period. Pontianak City is one of the city centers where there is a university, namely, Tanjungpura University. One of the temporary residences that is still rare is the existence of special student flats. These student flats can assist students in helping with temporary housing. This student flat is designed with a minimalist concept which is currently a trend and is in vogue. The purpose of this design is to design student flats that are comfortable with a room atmosphere, space requirements that suit student needs. With several public facilities such as sports venues, shared open spaces, places to relax, places of worship and places to study. The design of student flats prioritizes building functions and efficient space requirements. In achieving this goal, traditional design methods (black box) which in this method is a design method that is carried out spontaneously. Ideas that come from anywhere and at any time according to the designer's imagination spontaneously. Based on background issues and objectives in the design and through some data analysis carried out resulted in a student flat building design with a minimalist concept with a total of 4 floors with private facilities as well as public facilities.

Abstract

The freelancer profession in the current era is in great demand by many people. In the world of freelancing, income and place of work are not fixed. Most freelancers have little business capital in leveraging skills and building relationships. In addition, freelancers do not have a limit on working time, but are free to determine where to work. Freelancer activity facilities in Pontianak City do not support convenience. They are active in cafes or coffee shops with a low level of privacy. Freelancers and other creative industry players need a place that is comfortable for their activities, both working, socializing, and collaborating in running their business. They need a container that fits their activities, namely coworking space. Coworking space is a multifunctional workplace that combines various commercial functions, such as offices, meetings, culinary, entertainment, and others. For this reason, it is necessary to design a coworking space in Pontianak City. The purpose of a coworking space is to accommodate various work activities, both individually and in groups, along with their supporting activities. The design method used is flexibility in architecture, including adaptable and universal space. The steps used are looking for problems, identifying, collecting data, analyzing, conveying ideas, selecting ideas, designing products, and evaluating. The expected result is a flexible spatial plan inside and outside the coworking space, adapting to the dynamics of freelancers and other users.

Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country because it has an area of water reaching 3.25 million km2 or about 63%. The sea mouth of the Sungai Kakap, Kubu Raya regency, is part of the Indonesian maritime region that has fisheries management or WPP711 Natuna Sea, making it the second largest fish producing region in West Kalimantan. Sungai Kakap is part of a strategic tourism area that can be further developed. UnfortuUnfortunately, it wasn’t felt the benefits by the surrounding community. Based on these, the architectural response must offer a place containing the results of the marine resources of culinary-tourism based on Sungai Kakap and connected to the existing restaurant as the Seafood Culinary Center of Sungai Kakap Estuary. By realizing a cooperative system with the Sungai Kakap community, it is hoped that the design will improve the quality of life of the residents of Sungai Kakap. Applying the glass box method, planning becomes more objective, using the information obtained during data collection, which is supported by a clear conceptual analysis and synthesis. With a land area of 1.39 hectares, Sungai Kakap Estuary Seafood Culinary Center consists of a new mass area, an existing masses area and a space connecting the masses. The new area masses will consist of a restaurant function with different services than the current restaurant/market place, and a workshop/community-kitchen with movable internal walls. A connecting space used as a plaza and for culinary events.
