Abstract

This study explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the fashion industry, specifically focusing on garment construction in Ghana. Again, it examines how AI impacts key stages of garment production, including style development, body measurements, pattern making, lay planning, cutting, assembling, and packaging. It employed both quantitative data from surveys and qualitative insights from interviews with fashion designers, manufacturers, and industry experts. The findings indicate that AI technologies are most widely adopted in style development and pattern making, where they significantly enhance design efficiency and precision. However, adoption rates are lower in cutting, assembling, and packaging due to high initial costs and technical complexity. The study also identifies significant barriers to AI adoption, such as financial constraints, lack of technical expertise, and cultural resistance to change. The implications of these findings suggest that AI technologies have the potential to transform garment construction processes, improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase competitiveness in the fashion industry. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical data on AI adoption in the Ghanaian fashion industry, and clearly indicates the need for future study to explore regional differences, long-term impacts, and strategies to integrate AI technologies while preserving traditional craftsmanship in garment making.

Abstract

This paper examines SMEs product innovation in the VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) era. One of the common problems for SMEs in Indonesia is challenges related to product innovation. These challenges are limited human resources and lack of access to technology and knowledge. Thus, product innovation will continue to develop not only with a touch of technology orientation, but also requires optimal inter-functional coordination. This study used quantitative methods on 205 SMEs as respondents. There are three variables that are the object of study, they are Product Innovation as the dependent variable, Technology Orientation as the independent variable and Inter-Functional Coordination as the mediating variable. The results of this study state that the Inter-Functional Coordination variable mediates the relationship between the Technology Orientation variable and the Product Innovation variable. Thus, Technology Orientation will not be optimal in developing SMES Product Innovation, unless SMESs strengthen Inter-Functional Coordination. Inter-functional coordination is a process where various functions or departments in an organization work together and collaborate to achieve common goals.

Abstract

This research contains a description of the ratification of extra-marital children as legal children. Recognition and ratification of extra-marital children often experience differences in their determination. The research method used by the author in writing this journal is normative legal research method, this legal research examines document studies using various secondary data, such as laws and regulations, court decisions, legal theories and opinions of scientists. Based on the results of the research, the Marriage Law does not regulate the recognition and validation of children, the Civil Code regulates recognition and validation while the Constitutional Court only focuses on the biological relationship between the child and the father. In the Determination of the Airmadidi District Court Number 175/Pdt.P/2021/PN Arm, the judge only looks at positive law without considering other aspects in the ratification of extra-marital children. This research is expected to contribute to the development of science, the author's achievement from this research is to produce scientific works in the form of theses, research journals, and as reference material for other writers in the future.
