Abstract

AbstractYogyakarta has been known as the city of tourism for the many culture and heritage in this region. The city of Heritage attached to it, has an impact on people’s behavior in the consumption of products or services. A demand for good tourism on the products service has encouraged the growth of industries that promote values. Hospitality, an industry engaged in social services, is growing rapidly in Yogyakarta. The industry deals with hospitality services and management of socio-religious events, such as weddings. Based on the data obtained, people of Yogyakarta are very sensitive to the appropriate product warranties. This study used descriptive statistics of Likert shari’i scale, a modified Likert scale. Data were analyzed using Fishbein formulation. The results of the above studies indicate that the overall consumers’ attitude towards hospitality marketing mix in Yogyakarta is positive with the value of Ao: + 5.1601. On the other hand, the score of partial assessments of hospitality marketing mix in Yogyakarta are as follows; product assessment Ao = +1.047025, price Ao =0.58305, location Ao = +0.980075, promotion Ao = +0.3479.

Abstract

AbstractThe research aimed to compare the calculation method of income tax using methods of “pembukuan” and “pencatatan” based on the income tax law (UU PPh) No. 36 year 2008, as well as the calculation method according to the government regulation (PP) No. 46 year 2013, regarding the trade sector of MSMEs. The research data was obtained from questionnaires and interviews directly sent to the owners of the trade sector MSMEs in Kecamatan Tengaran. The sampling method of this research is snowball sampling technique. The tax payable that have been calculated by the respondents were compared to respondents’ nature of the business, commodity type, and business size. The result of this study showed that the tax calculation based on government regulation (PP) No. 46 year 2013 was the method that lead to the most efficient tax payable for the trading business for both retail and distributor for clothing, vegetables and daily needs trading business; and also for small scale trading business. However for micro scale trading businesses, the method of “Pencatatan” was the most efficient method for these respondents group. The research concluded that there was no single method providing results as the most efficient tax payable for all group of respondents. Based on this finding, it can be recommended to the regulator to make the income tax calculation method is as an option instead of rigid regulation, as the background of the regulation is the simplicity to the tax payer (particularly on Government Regulation (PP) No 46 year2013) and in order to achieve the principle of taxation, namely the principle of economic efficiency.

Abstract

AbstarctTo support the strategic objectives and facing the challenges of a constantly evolving organization, it needs employees with high performance. If the performance of employees increased the effectiveness and productivity of the company will increase as well. Competence and training are factors that lead to employee performance improvement. Competency can help organizations create a culture of high performance. While, the training that has been developed through phases planned and programmed process will have a direct impact on employee performance. This study aims to analyze how strong the influence of competence and training to employees performance of PT Adaro Energy Tbk, either partially or simultaneously. The research method used was survey with the design of associative research. Research hypothesis had been tested using multiple linear regression. From the research results proved the competence contributed significantly strong positive effect on performance. However, training gave weakly significant positive effect on performance. Simultaneously, competence and training had a  dominant significant positive effect on employee performance, which is showed by a coefficient of determination of 73.6%.

Abstract

Abstract As the foundation of economic and micro enterprises, traditional markets are increasingly replaced by modern market that intensively rushed into the countryside. To be competitive, small businesses in the traditional market needs to learn the management of marketing and consumer behavior, in the hope that customers will remain loyal to the product offered. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of perceived value toward customer’s satisfaction and repeat buying intention at the Ubud Traditional Market. The data have been analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the aid of a computer program Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS). Sampling was taken by non-probability sampling, especially using the purposive and convenience sampling techniques. The study was conducted in December 2013 up to July 2014 involved for about 152 respondents. The results showed that the influence of perceived value to customer’s satisfaction is positive with a coefficient of 0.382, the effect of perceived value toward customer’s repeat buying intention is also positive with a coefficient of 0.129, and the influence of customer’s satisfaction toward customers repeat buying intention is positive as well, with a coefficient of 0.620. With these results, management was advised to have a better understanding of consumer behavior, customer’s satisfaction, and customer buying intention in traditional market.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by a deep desire of understanding the changes of policy content of the Limit of Retirement Age of civil servants in the Government of the city of Yogyakarta. Substantive analysis of this research focused on the acceptability of the regulation of the Limit Age of Retirement. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the empowerment of the state apparatus through a intensification of existing civil servants, preventing civil servants who are still productive to leave the bureaucratic structure in earlier - which means a waste of state finances - and to propose alternative arrangements of future policy of retirement age for civil servants. The research method used in this study is a Mixed Methods Analysis, which is a combination of both Survey Method with Qualitative Descriptive research methods. Informants and respondents of this study is the structural and functional officials in the city government that is actually involved in the problems associated with the implementation of this regulatory changes. The results of this research showed that most civil servants who was observed received this new rules, but from the perspective of the municipal government organization this policy raises a number of internal problems, especially problems related to fulfilment structural positions pertaining with limited in number of the existing number of civil servants.
