Abstract

Abstract algebra is one of the most interesting sciences in mathematics. Many things are learned in abstract algebra. One of them is the Noetherian rings. A Noetherian ring is a ring that is defined based on a finite ideal set of a ring. The method used is a literature review or also called a literature study, namely research conducted by collecting theories and information related to research with the help of references such as books or scientific journals. One of the theorems formed based on the definition of a Noetherian is that if R is a Noetherian ring, then R[x] is also a Noetherian.

Abstract

This study aims to describe learning outcomes in comparative material based on the cognitive realm of Bloom's taxonomy revision and to determine the factors that influence learning outcomes in comparative material based on the cognitive realm of Bloom's taxonomy revision. This type of research is descriptive qualitative which is analyzed using a descriptive technique approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study were all seventh grade students of juior high school 5 Sulamu. The subjects in this study were 22 students. The subjects selected in the interview were 6 students who were selected as interview subjects were taken from the results of high, medium, low criteria and 2 criteria were taken each. Data were collected using test, interview and documentation methods. The results showed that the learning outcomes with the level of remembering on the high criteria are in the good and sufficient category, the medium criteria both in the sufficient category, and the low criteria in the sufficient and less categories. The level of understanding on the high criteria and medium criteria are both in the good category, while the two low criteria are in the sufficient and poor categories. The level of applying the high criteria is in the good category, the medium criteria are in the good and sufficient categories, and the low criteria are in the sufficient and less categories. The level of analyzing on the high criteria is in the good and sufficient category, the medium criteria are in the good and poor categories, and the low criteria are both in the less category. The evaluation level on the high criteria is both in the good category, while the two medium criteria and low criteria are in the less category. The level of creation on the high criteria is both in the good category and the sufficient category, while the two medium criteria and low criteria are in the less category. Internal factors that affect student learning outcomes are lack of accuracy, lack of understanding of students, lack of memory, lack of interest in learning mathematics, lack of confidence, while the external factors that influence student learning outcomes are the lack of family attention. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Cognitive Domain, Revised Bloom's Taxonomy.

Abstract

Facts on the field show that there are still many students who have low abilities in solving mathematical problems. One of the factors that influence this is because students are not accustomed to practicing solving math problems in class. The questions given to students were only questions that put more emphasis on carrying out procedures and calculations. The research was carried out to obtain an overview of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The research in question was carried out at the end of elementary school level and at the beginning of junior high school level. It is hoped that the results of this research can be used as material for consideration and input for improvements and changes in the learning process to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This study uses a qualitative approach. While this type of research is a phenomenological study. Phenomenology is a study that describes what a person receives, feels and knows in his consciousness about the experiences he has experienced. And what emerges from that awareness is called a phenomenon. The subjects of this study were students of class VI elementary school and class VII junior high school. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that there are similarities and differences in the characteristics of problem solving abilities between students at the final level of the elementary school level and students at the initial level of the junior high school level.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether the use of Dienes Block as learning media could increase students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research is classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted in 2 cycles. The research was conducted at SDN Bokong 2, Takari District, Kupang Regency in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 school year. The research subjects were 26 students of third grade and a teacher. Data collection instruments in this study included observation sheets, tests, and documentation. The results showed that the use of Dienes Block can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of third grade students of SDN Bokong 2 on the material of the addition operation of whole numbers. It is indicated by the increase and achievement of the minimum criteria for teacher activity, students’ activity, and mathematics learning outcomes of third grade students of SDN Bokong 2 after being taught using dienes block media. The percentage of students who reached the minimum completeness criteria (70) in cycle 2 was 88.5% with a classical average of 84.3. These results improved compared to the learning outcomes of cycle 1 where the percentage of students who reached the minimum completeness criteria was only 38% with a classical average of 69.2.

Abstract

The coprime graph in modulo integer groups has many important applications in discrete mathematics and cryptography. The Harary index of the coprime graph is very useful in many mathematical and computer science applications, especially in computing algebraic properties, topology, and graph structure. In this article, the Harary index of the coprime graph for modulo integer groups with a prime power order was obtained, which is the square of the sum of the group members minus one.
