Abstract

Artikel ini mengurai lebih detail nilai pendidikan karakter dalam naskah Hikayat Abu Syamah berdasarkan hasil translitrasinya. Hikayat Abu Syamah ditulis dalam berbahasa Melayu dan tersimpan hampir di berbagai daerah di Nusantara, berkisah tentang Abu Syamah sebagai objek utamanya. Korpus tulisan ini ialah hasil translitrasi teks Hikayat Abu Syamah koleksi Museum Aceh dengan nomor A 0721/1945 dan naskah B 07-4721/3014 dalam perbandingan terdahulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan filologis dengan konsep pendidikan karakter dalam realita kekinian sebagai alat interpretasinya. Melalui analisa tersebut makin memperkuat temuan bahwa nilai pendidikan karakter nyatanya sudah ada sejak belasan abad lalu dan terimplementasi dalam kehidupan masyarakat dengan latar belakang berbeda pada masa dahulu relevan hingga kini. Adapun nilai karakter yang dijumpai pada sikap Abu Syamah dalam hikayat ialah nilai religius, jujur, berprasangka baik, amanah, adil, tawakkal, bertanggungjawab, lemah lembut, semangat kebangsaan, demokratis juga keberanian, dengan dominasi nilai religius sebagai karakter dasar dan penting yang tampak pada sikap si tokoh utama, sikap ini relevan dengan konteks kekinian dan keindonesiaan.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the techniques and assessment of the quality of the translation of imperative sentences in the book Al-Fatḥu Ar-Rabbānī Wal-Faiḍu Ar-Raḥmānī by Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jaelani. This research is a part of translation criticism using the descriptive analysis method. This study uses a qualitative approach to analyzing translation techniques using Newmark's theory. In addition, a quantitative approach is also used in assessing the quality of translation by using the translation evaluation theory by Nababan. The results of this study indicate that there are 977 imperative sentence data and the sample data in this study are 50 imperative sentence data. In this study, it was found that there were 8 techniques used in translation from 16 Newmark translation techniques. The eight techniques are the literal translation technique, paraphrasing technique, transposition technique, common translation technique, expansion technique, synonymy technique, modulation technique, and reduction technique. In addition, the three highest acceptability qualities are literal translation technique, expansion technique, and modulation technique as much as 68%, while the lowest acceptability quality is synonymy technique as much as 56%. Then the readability quality with the highest score is in the literal translation technique and the transposition technique as much as 68%. At the same time, the readability quality with the lowest value is in the paraphrasing technique and the synonymy technique as much as 56%.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the author's worldview, namely Ghassan Kanafani as a collective subject in his short story entitled "Ardhu al-Burtuqol al-Haziin" in an anthology of short stories with the same title using the genetic structuralism perspective of Lucian Goldmann. Goldmann's genetic structuralism emphasizes the analysis of the author's worldview as a representative of a particular social group, with his analysis departing from the structure of the literature work itself. Three research variables in genetic structuralism are the structure of literary works, worldview, and social structures. This research is qualitative-descriptive research with a dialectical method of analysis. The result of the discussion is there are many binary oppositions found in this short story “Ardhu al-Burtuqol al-Haziin”. Ghassan’s worldview in this short story is the economic downturn of the Palestinian people due to the 1948 Nakba Day and the loss of their national identity which was symbolized by an orange. This Ghassan Kanafani's worldview is the view of his group, namely the nationalist social group of workers and peasants.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the formation and negotiation of ideology in the text of Hikayat Prang Gompeni by Abdul Karim by using Gramsci's Hegemony analysis. Hikayat Prang Gompeni (HPG) was written in three langauages; Malay, Acehnese, and some words derived from Arabic. The HPG manuscript is written in prose. This manuscript tells about the danger of if the Dutch conquered the land of Aceh and calls for war against the infidels in order to uphold Islam. This research uses the descriptive method that the research data is classified, analyzed and concluded. The result of this study indicates that there are six ideological formations found in HPG, those are apathy, edemonism, colonialism, conservatism, humanism, and theism which the negotiator ideologies are humanism and edemonism.
