International Journal of Advanced Health Science and Technology (IJAHST) publishes peer-reviewed, original research and review articles in an open-access format. Accepted articles span the full extent of the Public Health, Environmental Health, Nursing, Oral and Dental Health, Midwifery, Nutrition, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Biomedical Engineering IJAHST seeks to be the world’s premier open-access outlet for academic research. As such, unlike traditional journals, IJAHST does not limit content due to page budgets or thematic significance. Rather, IJAHST evaluates the scientific and research methods of each article for validity and accepts articles solely on the basis of the research. Likewise, by not restricting papers to a narrow discipline, IJAHST facilitates the discovery of the connections between papers, whether within or between disciplines.

Abstract

Preschool-age children are an age group that is relatively high in caries. The prevalence of caries in preschool-aged children in 2018 was 93%. The most effective way to prevent dental health problems, especially cavities, is to brush your teeth and promote dental health using methods that are on target. Storytelling is a therapeutic process that positively and effectively influences preschoolers' learning comprehension. Storytelling helps children learn new things and creates a comfortable learning environment. This study aims to analyze the effect of counseling using the storytelling method with dental phantom media on the teeth-brushing skills of preschoolers. The type of research used is Quasi Experiment with pre and post-test design. The population in this study were 32 students of Kindergarten Islam Plus Al Haqiqi Surabaya. Methods of data collection using observation sheets. The data analysis technique uses the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study showed that counseling on the storytelling method with dental phantom media affected the teeth brushing skills of preschoolers at the Islam Plus Al Haqiqi Kindergarten in Surabaya. Abstract

Pregnancy begins with the meeting of egg and sperm cells so that fertilization occurs, followed by implantation until the birth of the fetus. The coronavirus pandemic has led to various limitations, shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE), fear of being overwhelmed with COVID-19 cases. The maternal mortality rate increased in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic to reach 234.7 per 100,000 live births. The lowest MMR was in Surabaya, which was 42.33 per 100,000 live births. This study used a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design using a One-group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 51 respondents and 1 intervention group. The technique for taking samples using Purposive Sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet to determine the behavior of pregnant women. This research was conducted in February - April 2023. The analytical method used univariate and bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was a significant increase in behavior with the result that the p value on knowledge = 0.005 p < α (0.05), attitude = 0.008 p < α (0.05), action = 0.019 p < α (0.05). The results of the study showed the effect of using Android-based educational and treatment applications to increase behavior in pregnant women. So it is advisable for pregnant women to use Android-based pregnancy education and care applications to increase knowledge, attitudes, and actions about pregnancy.

To analyze the effect of the use of Android media applications on youth's knowledge about stunting prevention. This type of research is Quasi-Experimental with a one-group pre-test post-test research design. The population is 80 teenagers at the Amanatul Ummah Madrasah Aliyah Islamic Boarding School, Surabaya. Samples were taken by purposive sampling of 35 teenagers. The independent variable is the use of the Android application. The dependent variable is knowledge about stunting prevention in young women. The research instrument was a questionnaire with 20 questions about stunting prevention. Methods Univariate and bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxson test. Methods Univariate and bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxson test. The results of the study show that there is a significant increase in knowledge with the result ρ value = 0.001 p <α (0.05). The results of the study show the effect of using educational applications related to Android-based stunting prevention to increase knowledge in young women. So it is recommended that teenagers use educational applications related to Android-based stunting prevention to increase their knowledge about stunting prevention.

Abstract

The preparation of primary care clinic accreditation in Indonesia still uses a manual system, causing unpreparedness and slowing down the performance of officers in preparing for accreditation. Other inhibiting factors are workload and adjustments to the latest accreditation standards. Accreditation is an important point in maintaining the quality of health care facilities. The fact that clinic accreditation in Indonesia is still quite low, only 1.7% of private clinics have been accredited out of 10,380. Driven by technological developments, it is necessary to develop a system that helps facilitate the documentation management and self-assessment. The research aims to design a system from problem analysis, system architecture to functionality. This research method using design thinking involves potential users at the Permata Keluarga Clinic and the design refers to the Clinic accreditation standards by the Ministry of Indonesian through H.K.01.07/MENKES/1983/2022. SIMAKLIK can be used by leaders and quality team members, accreditation assistance officers and surveyors. Features of this system prototype include: systematic documentation in accordance with the accreditation standard, self-assessment report features, dashboard, notes and recommendations features. This prototype has been successfully tested to users with SUS Score results of 81.78. The SUS Score results are categorized as grade B or very good, which indicates that the system's acceptability and usability are good. SIMAKLIK has contributed to the development of a document management system as an innovative product in health care facilities, especially clinics. In the future, that prototype can be followed up through development by the engineer team.
