Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the misconceptions and understanding of photosynthetic material in senior high schools in Pamekasan Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of descriptive research. The selection of research subjects was carried out using a semi-structured interview technique at 5 high schools in Pamekasan Regency. Methods of collecting data by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The validity of the data was tested using the strangulation method. The results of the study showed that(1) SMA Nurul Hikmah achieved the highest average score of 7.8 from a score of 1-10 than other high schools, (2) three teachers and most students experienced misconceptions in the form of photosynthesis only occurs in plants that have green substances (chlorophyll) and photosynthetic materials that only depend on sunlight, (3) The understanding of teachers and students shown is a partial understanding, this means that the response given is following the specified components but is incomplete

Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) merupakan model pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi pembelajaran bermakna. Tujuan dari PBL adalah untuk menerapkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan pengetahuan konten untuk memecahkan masalah. Berpikir kritis penting untuk mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif dan menyimpan informasi secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah penggunaan model pembelajaran problem based learning kelas X pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta ta 2022/2023. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu quasi eksperimen dengan desain post test control group design. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga didapatkan dua kelas yang terbagi atas kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Instrument pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes berupa posttest dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil dari penelitian ini  nilai sig (2-tailed) 0.628 0.05 maka keputusan H0 diterima dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen, sedangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning meningkat sebesar 1,7%.

Abstract

Digitization changes many things. One of which must follow the changes in digitalization is learning media. The massive use of mobile devices and the internet opens opportunities for the development of mobile learning. This article will explain the direction of the development of mobile learning in the world of modern education, especially in learning media. Although mobile devices and the internet are already massive, there is still a lack of media based on mobile learning. This study aims to test the validity of the android learning medium. This research is a research development (RD) learning medium developed based on Android. The model used in this study uses Tessmer, and then the validity test is carried out based on Nieveen (1999). The subjects of this study were 3 media experts based on the feasibility aspects of content, appearance, and language. The instrument used in this test is to determine the validity of an assessment rubric instrument. First, the expert test revealed that the learning media is valid in three aspects: content feasibility, language feasibility, and visual display feasibility. Second, this research will be the basis for the development of further android learning media, so that it is suitable for use by students.

Abstract

Water is one of the most basic needs of all living things, including humans. Water is essential for life because it serves as a barometer for the quality of human life, specifically health. Drinking water is safe for human consumption if it meets the physical, microbiological, chemical, and radioactive requirements specified in the mandatory and additional parameters. In microbiology, the mandatory parameter for drinking water quality is a total of 0 coliform bacteria per 100 ml. The purpose of this study is to quantify the content of coliform bacteria in drinking water at refill drinking water depots in Tahoa Village, Kolaka Regency, that meet or do not meet the requirements outlined in Permenkes No. 492 of 2010. Six refill drinking water depots in Tahoa Village, Kolaka Regency, were used as samples. The method used in this descriptive quantitative research is the most probable number (MPN), which consists of a prediction test and a confirmation test. The results revealed that coliform bacteria were present in drinking water samples A, B, C, D, E, and F, with MPN index values of 240/100 ml, 240/100 ml, and 96/100 ml, respectively. Based on the results of 38/100 ml and 240/100 ml, it can be concluded that the drinking water at the refill drinking water depot in Tahoa Village, Kolaka Regency, does not meet the requirements of Permenkes No. 492 of 2010.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of tofu liquid waste on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The method used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) which consisted of 5 treatment levels and 3 replications to obtain 15 experimental polybags. The results of the ANOVA test for the group showed that the height growth of the mustard greens did not have a significant effect, namely FCount (0.52) FTabel (4.46) and for the treatment did not have a significant effect, namely FHitung (0.27) FTabel (4,46), It is suspected that excess nitrogen will produce young shoots that are soft/weak and vegetative, acidify soil reactions, lower soil pH, and be detrimental to plants because it will bind other nutrients so that it will be difficult for plants to absorb them and fertilization will become less effective and inefficient. The results of the ANOVA test on the number of leaves showed that the treatment of liquid organic fertilizer from tofu liquid waste for groups had a significant effect, namely FHitung (5.39) FTabel (4.46), it was suspected that the amount of nutrients absorbed by plants had an effect on the process of leaf formation because the process of forming new cells is very closely related to the availability of nutrients needed by plants. the results of the ANOVA test on the fresh weight of mustard greens showed that the treatment of liquid organic fertilizer from tofu liquid waste for the group had a significant effect, namely (7,69) FTabel (4,46), as well as treatment had a significant effect (22,83) FTabel (4,46), It is suspected that fertilizer is absorbed optimally so that it can support plant metabolic processes and have a good effect on the growth of fresh weight in mustard greens.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of digital comic intagram media on students’ learning interest and science learning achievement of eight graders at SMP Negeri 4 Tarakan. This research was quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research method. Research data collection used pretest-posttest and questionnaires. Purposive sampling was aplplied to take the research sampel, and the sampel was eighth graders. The research result showed thet the experimental class possessed a learning interest mean score of 45% higher rhan the control class, where the control class achieved 58.5%. feeling happy got 89% for experimental and 55% for control. The involment aspect was 30% lower than the experimental with 79%. The interest aspect still was led by experimental at 83%, and control only gained 59%. Paying attention aspect was driven by experimental about 49% where the control was only at 59%. Furthermore, the learning achievement results stated that the experimental class was better than the control class, where the test value was 12,329 at a significance level of 0.05, and df 60 is a ttable value of 2.000. this reserch result claimed that digital comic Instagram media totally influenced the studets’ learning interest and achievement in scince class.

Abstract

Ethnobotany is the study of the interaction between local people and their natural environment, especially regarding the use of plants in everyday life which emphasizes various plants used as clothing, food, shelter and even traditional medicine. Food is an essential need for humans to survive. The people of East Tarakan use the plants around them as food ingredients with a variety of different processing methods. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out ethnobotanical studies to find out the types and parts of plants used as food, as well as the benefits and ways of using these plants as food by the people of East Tarakan, North Kalimantan. The method used in this research is field surveys and interviews. Benefit value analysis was carried out for each food plant species. The research results showed that there were 16 types of food plants utilized by the people of East Tarakan, namely from the Moraceae family (4 species), Phyllanthaceae (1 species), Poaceae (1 species), Moringaceae (1 species), Caricaceae (1 species), Aracea (1 species), Euphorbiaceae (1 species), Athyriaceae (1 species), Solanaceae (1 species), Limnocharitaceae (1 species), Malvaceae (1 species), Meliaceae (1 species), and Arecaceae (1 species). The most widely used part of the plant is the fruit.

Abstract

Malinau Kota is one of the Sesayap River basin areas. The Sesayap River is a source of drinking water, transportation routes, and fishing grounds. Many activities around the river flow cause the river to be vulnerable to pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to determine water quality to monitor and manage sustainable water resources. This study aimed to determine the water quality status of the Sesayap River in Malinau Kota, Malinau, North Kalimantan. Water sampling points were three stations; water sampling was carried out eight times. Water samples were measured in situ and ex-situ. Physico-chemical parameters were temperature, salinity, brightness, turbidity, pH, DO, BOD, COD, and ammonia. Data of water quality were analyzed using the Storet method. The water quality standards are based on Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2021 in Appendix VI of Class I and II River Water Quality Standards. The average temperature measurement results were 27.5 oC, salinity 0 ppt, brightness 12.53 cm, turbidity 196.55 NTU, pH 6.91, DO 5.55 mg/L, BOD 1.96 mg/L, COD 282.17 mg/L and 0.14 mg/L ammonia. The analysis results show that all observation stations are moderately polluted.
