Abstract

The diversity of homegardens plants in the tropics region is very high. Therefore, homegarden can be a conservation site for local species. In addition, homegarden plays an important role in providing food resources for rural communities, especially for farmers. The community at Tanjungan Village is one of the communities in Lampung that almost entirely work as farmers. Ethnobotanical studies of the community are still rarely carried out, therefore this research was conducted. The purpose of this study is to explain the composition of homegarden plants in Tanjungan Village. Secondly to explain the diversity of homegarden plant species used as daily food. The third to describe a source of homegarden plants acquisition at Tanjungan Village. Research data were collected using participant observation interview methods and questionnaires, then the data were analyzed using qualitative approach. The results showed that as many as 155 species, 15 cultivars, and 5 variants belonging to 58 families compiled the diversity of homegarden plants at Tanjungan Village. Recorded as many as 13 use categories of homegarden plants which food is the highest category of species (66 species and 11 cultivars 34 families). Fabaceae is the family with the highest number of food species (6 sp.). The most commonly found food plants are gedang (Carica papaya) with the frequency of discovery 27 times. The source of the acquisition of the seeds of the garden plants in Pekon Tanjungan, namely the collection from neighbors, seeds from the garden, spontaneous growing seeds, sellers of plant seeds, and the distribution of seedlings from the local agricultural service.AbstrakKeanekaragaman tanaman pekarangan di wilayah tropis sangat tinggi sehingga pekarangan dapat menjadi situs konservasi bagi spesies lokal. Selain itu, pekarangan memainkan peran penting dalam menyediakan sumber makanan untuk masyarakat pedesaan, terutama bagi para petani. Masyarakat Pekon Tanjungan, di Kabupaten Tanggamus, Lampung hampir seluruhnya bekerja sebagai petani. Sejauh ini, studi etnobotani pada pekarangan masyarakat tersebut masih jarang ditemukan. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian ini dengan tujuan, pertama menginventarisasi spesies dan komposisi tanaman pekarangan di Pekon Tanjungan. Kedua, menganalisis spesies tanaman pekarangan yang digunakan sebagai bahan pangan. Ketiga, mengetahui sumber perolehan tanaman pekarangan di Pekon Tanjungan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara observasi partisipan dan kuesioner, kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 155 spesies, 15 kultivar, dan 5 varian yang tergolong dalam 58 famili tumbuhan menyusun keanekaragaman tanaman pekarangan di Desa Tanjungan. Tercatat sebanyak 13 kategori penggunaan tanaman pekarangan. Bahan pangan merupakan kategori guna dengan jumlah spesies tertinggi (66 spesies dan 11 kultivar 34 famili). Sebagian besar spesies tersebut berasal dari suku Fabaceae yakni sebanyak 6 spesies. Tanaman pangan yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah gedang (Carica papaya) dengan frekuensi penemuan 27 kali. Sumber perolehan bibit tanaman pekaraga di Pekon Tanjungan, yaitu tetangga, kebun, benih tumbuh spontan, penjual bibit tanaman, dan dinas pertanian setempat.Kata Kunci: etnobotani pekarangan, sumber bahan pangan, komposisi tanaman pekarangan, pekon tanjungan

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the systematic mathematics textbook that refers to the 2013 curriculum for the 2017 revised edition based on the following four components: (1) the discovery of triangles and quadrilateral definitions; (2) the discovery of the formula for the area of a triangle and a quadrilateral; (3) arrangement of triangles and quadrilateral; and (4) facilities to create concept maps for students. Type of this study was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The description given in this study was about the systematic mathematics textbook that refers to the 2013 curriculum for the 2017 revised edition by reviewing the four components. Data analysis in this study used content analysis The conclusions of this study are (1) there is no facility to find definitions of the types of triangles and quadrilateral; (2) there are facilities to find the formula of triangles and quadrilateral use the help table, not by using the other quadrilateral area approach; (3) the arrangement of triangles and quadrilateral materials is not right yet; and (4) there is no the facility to create concept maps for students.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sistematika dari buku teks matematika yang mengacu pada kurikulum 2013 untuk edisi revisi 2017 berdasarkan empat komponen berikut: (1) penemuan definisi segitiga dan segiempat; (2) penemuan rumus luas daerah segitiga dan segiempat; (3) susunan materi segitiga dan segiempat; dan (4) fasilitas membuat peta konsep bagi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Deskripsi yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang sistematika buku teks matematika yang mengacu pada kurikulum 2013 untuk edisi revisi 2017 dengan meninjau empat komponen. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) belum terdapat fasilitas untuk menemukan definisi jenis segitiga dan segiempat; (2) terdapat fasilitas untuk menemukan rumus segitiga dan segiempat menggunakan tabel bantuan, bukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan area segiempat lainnya; (3) urutan materi segitiga dan segiempat belum benar; dan (4) tidak ada fasilitas untuk membuat peta konsep untuk siswa.Kata Kunci: analisis, sistematika, kurikulum 2013, segitiga, dan segiempat

Abstract

Diarrhea and vomiting are often caused by E coli bacteria. E coli bacteria has a strain of Shigatoxigenic Escherichia coli (STEC), producing Shiga poisons or poisons such as Shiga (verotoxin) which are harmful and pollute nature. This strain of the E coli bacterium has a detrimental effect because it excludes one or both types of Shiga Like Toxin -1 (Stx -1) and Shiga Like Toxin-2 (Stx-2) toxins. This bacterial infection has the potential as a zoonotic agent because it has been found in feces and sheep meat, feces and beef meat, chicken feces and human feces. If this bacterial colony inceases in the digestive tract of poultry it will disturb the productivity of the livestock. Therefore it must be watched out and studied more deeply. The objectives of the study are 1) to see the inhibitory power of chitosan on the growth and development of E coli bacteria in vitro 2) the test of digestibility of dry matter (BK) and crude protein (PK) ration in vitro. The treatments given in this test are: R0 = control (without chitosan), R1 = 0.5% chitosan, R2 = 1% chitosan, R3 = 1.5% chitosan, R4 = 2% chitosan, R5 = 2.5% chitosan. The parameters measured were 1) inhibition of chitosan against E. coli growth based on clear zone diameter 2) digestibility of dry matter (BK) and crude protein (PK) ration in vitro. The results showed that the higher level of chitosan administration showed greater inhibition, which was indicated by the greater diameter of the clear zone caused. The provision of 2.5% chitosan shows medium inhibition that is has a range of 10-14 mm. The addition of a dose of 1.5% chitosan in the ration was able to increase the digestibility of dry matter by 7.86% and the digestibility of crude protein 11.20% higher than the control treatment (without chitosan). The conclusion of this study is that chitosan can inhibit the growth of E coli and improve the digestibility of dry matter (BK) and crude protein (PK) for the better.AbstrakPenyakit diare dan muntah-muntah sering disebabkan oleh bakteri E coli. Bakteri E coli memiliki strain Shigatoxigenic Escherichia coli (STEC), menghasilkan racun Shiga atau racun seperti Shiga (verotoxin) yang berbahaya dan mencemari alam. Strain dari bakteri E coli ini mempunyai efek merugikan karena mengeluarkan salah satu atau kedua jenis toxin Shiga Like Toxin -1 (Stx -1) maupun Shiga Like Toxin-2 (Stx-2). Infeksi bakteri ini berpotensi sebagai agen zoonosis karena sudah pernah ditemukan pada feses dan daging domba, feses dan daging sapi serta feses ayam dan feses manusia. Jika koloni bakteri ini tinggi dalam saluran pencernaan unggas akan mengganggu produktivitas ternak tersebut. Oleh sebab itu harus diwaspadai dan dikaji lebih mendalam. Tujuan penelitian adalah 1) melihat daya hambat kitosan terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bakteri E coli secara in vitro 2) menguji kecernaan bahan kering (BK) dan protein kasar (PK) ransum secara in vitro. Perlakuan yang diberikan dalam pengujian ini adalah: R0 = kontrol (tanpa kitosan), R1 = 0,5% kitosan, R2 = 1 % kitosan, R3 = 1,5% kitosan, R4 = 2% kitosan, R5 = 2,5% kitosan. Parameter yang diukur adalah 1) daya hambat kitosan terhadap pertumbuhan E. coli berdasarkan diameter zona bening (in vitro) 2) kecernaan bahan kering (BK) dan protein kasar (PK) ransum secara in vitro. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi level pemberian kitosan menunjukkan daya hambat yang semakin besar yang ditandai oleh semakin besarnya diameter zona bening yang ditimbulkan. Pemberian 2,5% kitosan menunjukkan daya hambat sedang yaitu memiliki range 10 - 14 mm. Penambahan dosis 1,5% kitosan dalam ransum, mampu meningkatkan kecernaan bahan kering 7,86% dan kecernaan protein kasar 11,20% lebih tinggi dari perlakuan kontrol (tanpa kitosan). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa kitosan mampu menghambat pertumbuhan E coli dan meningkatkan kecernaan bahan kering (BK) serta protein kasar (PK) menjadi lebih baik.Kata kunci: Kitosan, daya hambat, E. coli, kecernaan ransum, in vitro

Abstract

Land is a place to live various types of biota, one of which is soil fauna. Soil fauna has an important role in maintaining soil fertility and health. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of soil macrofauna on Agricultural land in the Sumillan Village, Alla District, Enrekang Regency. This research was conducted in July - September 2019 at three different locations. Sampling was done using fit fall trap and hand shorting methods. The results showed that there were 3 soil macrofauna phyla, namely Annelida, Artrophoda and Molluscs. Each phylum is divided into 5 classes, namely Clitellata, Insecta, Chilopoda, Aracnida and Gastropoda, 10 Orders, 14 Families and 21 species. Soil macrofauna species found were Lumbricus teresteris, Lumbricus castaneus Pheretima hamayana, Lasius niger, Lasius sp, Minimum monomorium, Soloenopsis sp, Gryllus bimaculatus, Gryllus sp 1, Gryllus sp 2, Blatella niger, Lasius sp, Minimum monomorium, Soloenopsis sp, Gryllus bimaculatus, Gryllus sp 1, Gryllus sp 2, Blatella sp, Macrotermes sp fuscipen, Leptosia nina, Scolopendra alternans, Pardosa milvina, Euryopis saukea, Vaginula sp and Achatina fulica.Abstrak Tanah merupakan tempat hidup berbagai jenis biota, salah satunya adalah fauna tanah. Fauna tanah memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga kesuburan dan kesehatan tanah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman makrofauna tanah pada lahan pertanian di Desa Sumillan Kecamatan Alla Kabupaten Enrekang. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada bulan Juli - September 2019 pada tiga lokasi berbeda. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode fit fall trap dan hand shorting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 3 filum makrofauna tanah yaitu Annelida, Artrophoda dan Molusca. Masing-masing filum ini terbagi dalam 5 kelas yaitu Clitellata, Insecta, Chilopoda, Aracnida dan Gastropoda, 10 Ordo, 14 Family dan 21 spesies. Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the development levels of higher-order thinking skills on students through the guided inquiry-based learning approach. The research method used was experimental, with true empirical design research. The sample selection was performed by random sampling technique. Data was collected through five tests of essay forms in accordance with various indicators of higher-order thinking abilities, including analysing (C4), evaluating (C5) and creating (C6). The results of this study indicated that the percentage of higher-order thinking ability in the experimental class was 86%, while in the control class was lower, at 79.3%. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that students with higher-order thinking skills taught through this guided inquiry-based learning were superior compared to those taught by conventional learning.AbstractThis study was aimed to determine the development levels of higher-order thinking skills on students through the guided inquiry-based learning approach. Abstract

Mushroom are cosmopolitan organisms which can emerge in a variety of environment, and around the university building is no exception.The goal of this study was to collect information on macrofungi diversity around IPB Unversity Campus Building in order to be used as a reference for its potential in the future. Macrofungi collection was done by opportunistic sampling method. All mushrooms found were Basidiomycota, which dominated by order of Agaricales. A total of 13 mushrooms were identified and described in this study, namely: Armillariella sp., Marasmiellus sp., Mycena sp., Agrocybe sp., Polyporus sp., Entoloma sp., Xeromphalina sp., Paxillus sp., Lentinus sp. 1, Lentinus sp. 2, Collybia sp., Pluteus sp., and Parasola sp. Some macroscopic fungi found to be potentially used as a bioactive compound sources, medicine and also played an important role as a decomposer in the sampling site.AbstrakJamur makroskopis merupakan organisme kosmopolitan yang mampu tumbuh pada berbagai macam kondisi lingkungan, tidak terkecuali di sekitar bangunan universitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menyediakan informasi mengenai keragaman jamur makroskopis di sekitar kampus Institut Pertanian Bogor untuk pemanfaatannya di masa mendatang. Eksplorasi jamur dilakukan dengan metode pengambilan sampel oportunistik. Semua jamur yang ditemukan merupakan filum Basidiomycota dan didominasi oleh ordo Agaricales. Sebanyak 13 jenis jamur makro berhasil diidentifikasi dan dideskripsikan pada penelitian ini, yaitu: Armillariella sp., Marasmiellus sp., Mycena sp., Agrocybe sp., Polyporus sp., Entoloma sp., Xeromphalina sp., Paxillus sp., Lentinus sp. 1, Lentinus sp. 2, Collybia sp., Pluteus sp., dan Parasola sp. Abstract

Liver damage or liver disease is caused by many factors, one of which is by consuming drinks that contain alcohol. Tuak is one of the drinks that contain alcohol. This study aims to determine the effect of palm wine administration on the histopathological picture of male ICR mice (Mus musculus) liver. This study used 20 mice consisting of 4 treatments namely P0 = 0 mL / day / head; P1 = 0.1 mL / day / head; P2 = 0.2 mL / day / head and P3 = 0.3 mL / day / head. The parameters observed were body weight of mice, liver weight and liver histopathology of mice. The results showed that administration of palm wine to male ICR mice at different doses gave an influence on the histopathological picture of male ICR mice (Mus musculus).AbstrakKerusakan hati atau penyakit liver disebabkan oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya adalah dengan mengkonsumsi minuman yang mengandung alkohol. Tuak merupakan salah satu minuman yang mengandung alkohol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tuak terhadap gambaran histopatologi hati mencit (Mus musculus) ICR jantan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 20 ekor mencit yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan yaitu P0 = 0 mL/hari/ekor; P1 = 0,1 mL/hari/ekor; P2 = 0,2 mL/hari/ekor dan P3 = 0,3 mL/hari/ekor. Parameter yang diamati adalah berat badan mencit, berat hati dan histopatologi hati mencit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tuak pada mencit ICR jantan dengan dosis yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh terhadap gambaran histopatologi hati mencit (Mus musculus) ICR jantan.Kata Kunci: Hati, Histopatologi, Mencit, Tuak

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics through the Discovery Learning model. The 32 students of the fifth grade Papandayan State Elementary School became the subjects under study. The result showed that the learning implementation score in the first cycle was 72.2 and in the second cycle is 85.4. There are behavioral changes in students discipline, cooperation, confidence and enthusiasm in the first cycle with the acquisition of scores was 69.4, and in the second cycle increases to 81.13; meanwhile the average scores of students learning outcomes in the first cycle was 67.54 with the learning completion of 59.37%, and an average value in the second cycle is 80.86 with the learning completion 87.5%. The results of all aspects have increased: the implementation of learning increases to 13.2%, changes in student behavior with 11.73%, and completeness of mathematics learning outcomes increases to 28.13%. It can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning model improves the students students activities in each cycle.AbstrakMatematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang sering dikatakan sebagai mata pelajaran yang sulit. Kenyataan ini didukung dengan rendahnya tingkat keberhasilan belajar yang didapat peserta didik. Oleh sebab itu penelitian dilakukan untuk mencari model yang tepat dalam peningkatan hasil belajar. Mengacu pada permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika melalui model Discovery Learning. 32 siswa dari kelas lima Sekolah Dasar Negeri Papandayan menjadi mata pelajaran yang diteliti. Penelitian tindakan kelas diberikan pada kelas dengan nilai rendah. Penelitian dilakukan menerapkan model pembelajaran dengan dua siklus. Hal ini bertujuan guna mendapatkan hasil yang sesuai dengan indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor implementasi pembelajaran pada siklus pertama adalah 72,2 dan pada siklus kedua adalah 85,4. Ada perubahan perilaku dalam disiplin siswa, kerja sama, kepercayaan diri dan antusiasme pada siklus pertama dengan perolehan skor adalah 69,4, dan pada siklus kedua meningkat menjadi 81,13; Sementara itu skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I adalah 67,54 dengan ketuntasan belajar 59,37%, dan nilai rata-rata pada siklus II adalah 80,86 dengan ketuntasan belajar 87,5%. Hasil semua aspek telah meningkat: pelaksanaan pembelajaran meningkat menjadi 13,2%, perubahan perilaku siswa dengan 11,73%, dan kelengkapan hasil belajar matematika meningkat menjadi 28,13%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning meningkatkan aktivitas siswa siswa dalam setiap siklus.Kata kunci: Hasil belajar, Matematika, Discovery Learning

Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes through the application of Talking Stick learning model. The subjects of this study are students of class VII C SMP Negeri 23 Pontianak, amounting to 30 students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. This research includes the planning, implementation, action, observation and reflection. The instruments of data collection used are observation and test sheets (final evaluation of the cycle). Based on the research results known in cycle I obtained an average value of 78,3 and in cycle II obtained an average value of 87,8 has an increase from cycle I. Learning completeness in the first cycle of 53,33%, then on cycle II increased to 83,33%. From result of research indicate that applying of Talking Stick learning model can improve science learning result in class VII C SMP Negeri 23 Pontianak.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar sains melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Talking Stick. Ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I sebesar 53,33%, kemudian pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 83,33%. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Talking Stick dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA di kelas VII C SMP Negeri 23 Pontianak.Kata Kunci: hasil belajar siswa,Talking Stick

Abstract

Attitude toward science is believed as one of the factors that can influence student learning outcomes. Therefore, information related to students attitudes towards science is important. This study aims to determine the effect of different levels of education and gender on students attitudes towards science. Student attitudes toward science were measured using a questionnaire instrument with a Likert scale that was adapted to the My Attitude Toward Science (MATS) instrument. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and Mann-Whitney test. In general, the results of the study indicated students showed positive attitudes towards science. Mann-Whitney test results also showed that the level of education has a significant effect on students' attitudes towards science statistically [U=4259.5; p<0.05]. Meanwhile, statistically, gender differences significantly influence students' attitudes towards science [U=4384.0; p<0.05]. The implication of this study is teachers could consider these results when they want to design instruction. In addition, this result is also important to preservice science teachers at the level of junior high school and senior high school to know the characteristics of the students attitude.AbstrakSikap terhadap pelajaran sains dipahami sebagai salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, informasi terkait sikap siswa terhadap sains menjadi penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan level pendidikan dan gender terhadap sikap siswa terhadap sain. Sikap siswa terhadap sains diukur dengan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dengan skala likert. Sikap siswa terhadap sains diukur dengan menggunakan instrumen My Attitude Toward Science (MATS). Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan uji Mann-Whitney. Secara umum, hasil penelitian menunjukkan persepsi sikap siswa yang positif terhadap sains. Hasil Mann-Whitney test menunjukkan bahwa secara statistik, level pendidikan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap siswa terhadap sains [U=4259,5; p<0,05]. Sementara itu, secara statistik, perbedaan jenis kelamin berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap siswa terhadap sains [U = 4384,0; p<0,05]. Guru dapat menjadikan hasil ini sebagai pertimbangan dalam merancang pembelajaran. Selain itu, hasil ini juga penting diketahui bagi calon guru sains pada tingkatan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) maupun Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) sebagai salah satu poin yang perlu diperhatikan dalam mengajar.Kata Kunci: Gender, Level Pendidikan, Sains, Sikap
