Abstract

This action research aimed to improve students’ participation in English conversation. The participants were 38 of the fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. Observation and fieldnote were used to collect and analyze the data.  The research findings  showed that the use of puppet as media can improve students’ participation in English conversation. In the first cycle, the percentage of the students’ participation in English conversation was 53%: 11 students participated in asking question, 6 students participated in answering questions,  and 3 students participated in giving opinions. In the second cycle, the students’ participation improved to 61%: 14 students participated in asking question, 8 students participated in answering question,  and 4 students participated in giving opinions. Finally, in the third cycle, the percentage of students’ participation was 74%: 14 students participated in asking questions, 11 students participated in answering questions,  and 5 students participated in giving opinions. Cycle two and three  showed improvement on the students’ participation in asking questions, answering questions, and giving opinions when being taught by using puppet. Hence, Puppet as media can improve students’ participation in English conversation. Keywords: Puppet, Young Learners, Conversation

Abstract

This Research to know storey;level of capasity volume maximal oxygen ( VO2 Max ) Atlet Center Education And Practice Student ( PPLP) Athletic Branch Sepak Takraw Kalimantan West 2014. method deskriptive qualitative , surve test, Population in this research is sport PPLP Sepak Takraw. Sport have to be powered either in society coat and also in education environment, specially construction of athletics among children able to assist self-discipline, sportivity, x'self resilience and bounce strong in the effort developing competitive and preeminent human being of prima. Game sepak takraw is one of the sport branch which in its game require very movements of complete, it is of course to support the the requirement required ability of resilience or physical of cardiorespirasi high in its game. Converse ability of physical hence will relate to resilience of cardiorespirasi. Basically, there is two kinds of resilience of cardiorespirasi, that is and aerobik of anaerobik. Measurement of resilience of cardiorespirasi for the capacities of aerobik can be condition by measuring maximal oxygen consumption ( VO2 Max). VO2 Max represent ability of someone to breath in and use oxygen maximally in condition activity or activity of athletics till experience of fatigue, given the condition of VO2 Max atlet can assist a coach to make practice program utilize to improve performa at the (time) of contesting. Keywords: Ability Of Maximal Oxygen Volume ( VO2 Max )  Abstrak: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuanvolume oksigen maksimal ( VO2 Max ) Atlet Pusat Pendidikan Dan Latihan Pelajar ( PPLP ) Cabang Olahraga Sepak Takraw Kalimantan Barat 2014. metode survei tes, yaitu dengan cara tes dari multitahap bentuk  penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah atlet PPLP cabang Olahraga Sepak TakrawOlahraga harus diberdayakan baik di lapisan masyarakat maupun di lingkungan pendidikan, khususnya pembinaan olahraga di kalangan anak-anak yang dapat membantu disiplin diri, sportifitas, ketahanan diri dan mental yang kuat dalam upaya membangun manusia yang unggul dan berdaya saing prima.Permainan sepak takraw adalah salah satu cabang olahraga yang dalam permainannya membutuhkan gerakan-gerakan yang sangat komplek, tentunya untuk menunjang kebutuhan tersebut dibutuhkan kemampuan fisik atau ketahanan kardiorespirasi yang tinggi dalam permainannya. Berbicara kemampuan fisik maka akan berkaitan dengan ketahanan kardiorespirasi. Pada dasarnya, ada dua macam ketahanan kardiorespirasi, yaitu aerobik dan anaerobik. Pengukuran ketahanan kardiorespirasi untuk kapasitas aerobik dapat dilakukan dengan cara mengukur konsumsi oksigen maksimal (VO2 Max). VO2 Max merupakan kemampuan seseorang untuk menghirup dan menggunakan oksigen secara maksimal dalam melakukan aktivitas atau kegiatan olahraga hingga mengalami kelelahan, dengan mengetahui kondisi VO2 Max atlet dapat membantu seorang pelatih untuk membuat program latihan guna meningkatkan performa pada saat bertanding. Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to investigate how far is the effect of Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject toward the students’ mindset. This research also focus on the effect of Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject toward the students’ mindset on the concept of family, education, friendship, time and space. This research is descriptive method. The sample of this research is class A of the sixth semester students of English Study Program of FKIP UNTAN Pontianak in academic year 2008/2009 which consist of 24 students, and the sample is taken by random sampling. The data in this research have been collected by indirect technique through questionnaire. From the result of data analysis, the mean score of the effect of Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject is 116.75 which qualified high effect, it means Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject has high effect toward the students’ mindset. In the concept of family, Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject has very high effect toward the mindset of 2 students, high effect toward the mindset of 7 students, moderate effect toward the mindset of 10 students, and low effect toward the mindset of 5 students. In the concept of education, Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject has very high effect toward the mindset of 12 students, high effect toward the mindset of 11 students, and moderate effect toward the mindset of 1 students.In the concept of friendship, Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject has very high effect toward the mindset of 2 students, high effect toward the mindset of 16 students, and moderate effect toward the mindset of 6 students. In the concept of time, Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject has very high effect toward the mindset of 18 students, and high effect toward the mindset of 6 students.In the concept of space, Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject has very high effect toward the mindset of 5 students, high effect toward the mindset of 16 students, and moderate effect toward the mindset of 3 students. Based on the analysis, there is a positive effect, which is generally qualified in the level of high effect of Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) subject toward the students’ mindset.

Abstract

Discus throwing is one of the throwing events in athletics, where the tools were cast in the form of discs with a certain weight and size. Number discus throwing is always competed in every championship multy special event or championship for athletics, both for the individual as well as a mixture of boys and girls (Dasa Competition) for example, the official championships such as PON, SEA Games, Asian Games, Olympics etc. Sports discus throwing is one of the main numbers throwing competitions in athletics. However, in the indoor athletics, discus throwing numbers not raced. This sport has been around since the ancient Olympic Games. In discus throwing competition, athletes compete throwing a disc-shaped object as far as possible to follow the regulations. In the race's official athletics, each athlete was given the opportunity to throw as much as three times. Then, from a number of athletes at the beginning baba, will be selected eight best athletes, who will be given the opportunity three times to roll again. Discus throwing athletes raced for both men and women's health physical education and recreation, amounting to 25 student with good category 10 students with a percentage of 40% and categories were 8 students with a percentage of 32% and less than 7 student categories by percentage of 28% for the necessary kontiyu do exercises that basic throwing techniques in particular can be a better daughter. Keywords : basic techniques of throwing students of 2014  Abstrak:Lempar cakram adalah salah satu nomor lempar dalam cabang olahraga atletik, dimana alat yang dilemparkan berupa cakram dengan berat dan ukuran tertentu. Nomor lempar cakram ini selalu dilombakan dalam setiap kejuaraan multy event atau kejuaraan yang khusus untuk cabang olahraga atletik, baik untuk nomor perorangan putra dan putri maupun campuran (Dasa Lomba) misalnya, kejuaraan resmi seperti PON, Sea Games, ASEAN Games, Olimpiade dll. Olahraga lempar cakram adalah salah satu nomor perlombaan lempar yang utama dalam atletik. Namun, dalam perlombaan atletik indoor, nomor lempar cakram tidak diperlombakan. Olahraga ini telah ada sejak Olimpiade kuno. Dalam perlombaan lempar cakram, atlet berlomba melemparkan objek berbentuk cakram sejauh mungkin dengan mengikuti peraturan yang berlaku. Dalam perlombaan atletik resmi, setiap atlet diberi kesempatan melempar sebanyak tiga kali. Kemudian, dari sejumlah atlet pada baba awal, akan dipilih delapan atlet terbaik, yang akan diberi kesempatan tiga kali lemparan lagi.  Lempar cakram diperlombakan bagi atlet-atlet laki-laki ataupun perempuan pendidikan jasmani kesehatan dan rekreasi yang berjumlah 25 mahasiswi dengan kategori baik 10 mahasiswa dengan persentasi 40% dan kategori sedang 8 mahasiswa dengan persentasi 32% dan kategori kurang 7 mahasiswi dengan persentasi 28 % untuk perlu dilakukan latihan yang kontiyu agar tehnik dasar lempar cakram khususnya putri bisa bisa lebih baik. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pada pembelajaran menggunakan model siklus belajar 5E materi Hukum Dasar Kimia.Bentuk penelitian adalahquasi experimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGMIPAUFKIP UNTAN Tahun Akademik 2014/2015 dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pengukuran denganinstrumen tes hasil belajar.Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata pemahaman konsep mahasiswameningkat dengan kategori rendah berdasarkan skor gain ternormalisasi. Disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep mahasiswa setelah melaksanakan pembelajaran yang menggunakan model siklus belajar 5E pada materi hukum dasar kimia mengalami peningkatan. Kata kunci: Model siklus belajar 5E, pemahaman konsep, hukum dasar kimia.   The aim of this study is to describe student conceptual understanding on learning cycle 5E model on law of fundamental chemistry. one of quasi experimental design “One group pretest-postest design” was used in this study. Population and sample on this study are pgmipau fkip untan students on academic year of 2014/2015. Tes of student achievement was used to get data. Descriptive qualitative technique was used to analyze data. Result of this study is student conceptual understanding isimproved with low chategory according to normalized gain score.  To conclude, student conceptual understanding after studying using learning cycle 5E model on law of fundamental chemistry was improved. Abstract

This study departs from the principal background in formulating the school's vision not incorporate elements of skill, because there is a deep understanding of the formulation of the school's vision. this can be known when researcher holds managerial supervision by looking at the KTSP documents​​ made, where in chapter II contains the vision of the school. This study aims to improve the ability of principals in formulating the school's vision. The research method used is a form of qualitative descriptive approach. Datas were collected through interviews, observation, and discussion. The implementation procedure consisted of stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results showed that through intensive counseling can improve the ability of principals in formulating the school's vision, this can be evidenced from the observation from cycle 1 to cycle 2. Before the guidance, the school's vision reads: "faithful and devoted, Achievement and Noble". After the guidance, the vision formulation showed an increase with the addition of skilled phrase is "faithful and devoted, Achievement, Skilled and noble." Abstract

Di lapangan seorang pelatih sukar mengukur seberapa besar energi yang sudah dikeluarkan oleh seorang atlit, biasanya penanda yang paling mudah adalah  dengan mengukur denyut jantung di pergelangan tangan. Namun itu tidak cukup sebagai penanda seberapa besar energi yang sudah digunakan, tetapi harus dikaji lebih dalam melalui kajian ilmu faal. Berbicara olahraga tidak terlepas dari sistem energi yang digunakan. Karena dalam aktivitas olahraga  terjadi sebuah perubahan energi kimia menjadi energi mekanik. Oleh karena itu, bagi yang berkecimpung dalam bidang olahraga merupakan syarat mutlak untuk mengetahui persediaan sistem energi. Pengetahuan ini tidak hanya penting untuk pelatih, guru pendidikan jasmani, tetapi juga penting bagi atlit. Kita mengenal beberapa macam sistem energi yang berhubungan dengan aktivitas olahraga antara lain; sistem ATP-PC, sistem asam laktat dan sistem aerobik yang semuanya itu sebagai penyedia kebutuhan energi dalam aktivitas olahraga. Kata Kunci : kegiatan olahraga, kesinambungan energi.   Abstract: In the field, a coach is difficult to measure how much energy has been issued by an athlete which the most convenient marker usually is to measure heart rate wrist. It was not enough to be a marker of how much energy is already used, but is should be studied more deeply through the study of physiology. Talking about sport, it can not be separated from the energy system used. Because in sporting activities, there was a change from the chemical energy into mechanical energy. Therefore, for those working in the field of sport is absolutely necessary to know the energy supply system. This change is not only important for coaches, physical education teachers, but also important for athletes. We know some kind of energy systems associated with sports activities, such as the ATP-PC system, a system of lactic acid and all the aerobic system as a provider of energy needs in sporting activities. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan efektivitas tiga jenis teknik pemulihan yaitu massage, stretching dan recovery konvensional dalam pemulihan asam laktat darah dan denyut jantung setelah lari 6x35 meter; (2) perbedaan efektivitas antara kemampuan VO2Max tinggi dan VO2Max rendah dalam pemulihan asam laktat darah dan denyut jantung setelah lari 6x35 meter; dan (3) interaksi antara massage, stretching, dan recovery konvensional dengan VO2Max dalam pemulihan asam laktat darah dan denyut jantung setelah lari 6x35 meter. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan faktorial 2 x 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) stretching paling efektif untuk menurunkan asam laktat darah, sedangkan massage dan recovery konvensional lebih efektif untuk pemulihan denyut jantung; (2) pada kelompok VO2Max tinggi pemulihan asam laktat darah dan denyut jantung lebih efektif dengan signifikansi (P= 0.001) dibandingkan kelompok VO2Max rendah; dan (3) tidak ada interaksi antara massage, stretching, dan recovery konvensional dengan VO2Max dalam pemulihan asam laktat darah dan denyut jantung setelah lari 6x35 meter. Kata kunci: massage, stretching, recovery konvensional, VO2Max, asam laktat darah, denyut jantung pemulihan.   Abstract : This study aims at: (1) finding the effect of three types of treatments such as massage, stretching and conventional recovery in recovery blood lactic acid and heart rate after a 6x35-meter-run;(2) finding the different effects between high VO2Max and low VO2Max capabilities in recovery blood lactic acid and heart rate after a 6x35-meter-run; and (3) finding the interaction among the massage, stretching, and conventional recovery groups of VO2Max in recovery blood lactic acid and heart rate after a 6x35-meter-run. This research method was an experimental study with 2 x 3 factorial designs. The research results show that: (1) stretching recovery is more effective in decreasing the blood lactic acid. Meanwhile, the massage and the conventional recovery are more effective for the heart rate recovery; (2) on the VO2Max groups, the blood lactic acid recovery and the heart rate recovery are more effective than the low VO2Max group with the significance level (P=0.001); and (3) there are no interaction among the massage, stretching and the conventional recovery with the VO2Max towards the blood lactic acid recovery and the heart rate after the 35-meter-interval run.
