CARAKA Indonesian Journal of Communication is a peer-reviewed journal organized and published by the Indonesian Scientific Journal (Jurnal Ilmiah Indonesia). Accepted paper will be available online (free access), and there will be no publication fee. The author will get their own personal copy of the paperwork. The journal consists of online and print versions, published biannually at the end of June and December of the current year. As a scientific periodical, the journal is subject to standard provisions of peer reviews conducted by Communication Scholars from various universities. All submitted manuscripts will go through the double-blind peer review and editorial review before being granted with acceptance for publication. CARAKA Indonesian Journal of Communication is for publications focusing on social life in which communication occurs through the use of various media. The manuscripts to be published include the results of research, theoretical thinking, and the study of various phenomena of human life in communication. Abstract

Setiap lembaga pendidikan akan bersaing dalam menggunakan berbagai jenis media yang dinilai bisa dijadikan sebuah daya pikat untuk memenangkan rivalitas terhadap pesaingnya. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi dan globalisasi, media cetak dan elektronik saat ini menjadi nilai lebih karena media tersebut dapat memberikan pesan informasi dengan detail lembaga pendidikan yang lebih akurat dan lebih terkini. Seperti Universitas Pembangunan Jaya yang mempromosikan kampusnya melalui media cetak dan elektronik yang menarik dan dapat dipahami secara singkat. Melalui media tersebut Universitas Pembangunan Jaya berharap akan memikat calon peserta didik atau mahasiswa-mahasiswi baru karena didalam media tersebut dijelaskan tentang fasilitas dan keunggulan kampus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui strategi penggunaan media Universitas Pembangunan Jaya dalam mempromosikan kampus dan menarik minat calon mahasiswa-mahasiswi baru.
