Abstract

The number of nosocomial infections continues to increase, reaching around 9% or more than 1.4 million hospitalized patients in hospitals worldwide. One of the effective prevention efforts to break the chain of infection transmission is the five moment hand hygiene. However, there is no research on the knowledge and behavior of five moment hand hygiene among midwifery students in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge and behavior of the five moment hand hygiene in midwifery practice among the students of the Poltekkes of the Ministry of Health, Semarang, class of 2017.This research is a descriptive quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling with 47 midwifery students. Data were collected using a knowledge questionnaire that had been expertly tested by a lecturer in the Basic Skills of Midwifery, Drs, Ngadiyono, SKp., Ns., M.H.Kes. Data analysis using univariate analysis.The results showed that the level of knowledge of the midwifery students of the Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang in the good category was 74.5% and the behavior in the good category was 100%. The conclusion of this research is that the level of student knowledge and student behavior is in good category. It is hoped that midwifery students from the Health Ministry of Health Semarang will continue to make five moments of hand hygiene a habit when practicing

Abstract

Perfect brain growth and development occurs when a child is 6 years old, therefore the success of brain growth and development is largely determined before the child is 6 years old. Pre-school children often experience picky eaters furthermore the picky eater is also the result of the play stage of the eating behavior of the closest people, especially the mother. The role of mothers is very influential because mothers have more free time with children, therefore the need for a good mother's role in terms of feeding practices. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between feeding practices on picky eater behavior in pre-school children. The sample used was 58 respondents who were selected using purposive sampling. This study was analyzed using the Chi Square test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between feeding practices and picky eater behavior in pre-school children with the results showing a p value of 0.001 (0.05) and there was no significant relationship between mother's education and behavior. picky eaters in pre-school children aged 3-5 years with the results of the study showing a p value of 0.589 (0.05).

Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 has an impact on the implementation of health programs, especially immunization services and PD3I surveillance. Coverage of immunization at Kaliwungu health center is still low, especially polio (89.3%) compared to 23 other health centers in Semarang regency and immunization visits only 3.2% in March. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors that influenced immunization visits during the Covid-19 pandemic period based on the health belief model (HBM) theory at Kaliwungu health center. This research is observational analytic research with a maternal population who has a baby aged 1-12 months, a total of 370 people and a sample of 80 people. The results of the univariate analysis of the Chi Square test of vulnerability and high seriousness 51.2%, perception of cues to action high 58.8%, high benefit perception of 72.5%, high barrier perception of 46.3%, and active immunization visits 66.3%, Bivariate analysis of perception of vulnerability and seriousness (p value 0.001), perception of benefits (p value 0.009), perception of barriers (p value 0.009) and perception cues to action (p value 0.169). The conclusion of the study is that there is a relationship between the vulnerability and seriousness of the disease, benefits and obstacles with immunization visits. While the perception of cues to action has no relationship with immunization visits during the Pandemic Covid-19 period. Advice for health workers to improve information services and immunization health promotion during Covid-19.

Abstract

Adolescents are the age group with the highest number of STIs compared to other age groups. The high number of people with STIs in adolescents and the younger generation really needs our attention because of the dangers and broad impacts. The highest number of STIs cases among adolescents in June 2019 was 29 cases of HIV-AIDS. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of behavior on attitudes regarding the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in adolescents.This research study is descriptive with a questionnaire interview survey of 25 respondents with simple regression analysis. Results: the behavioral variable has the lowest score of 9 and the highest score of 15. With an average value of the behavioral variable of 13.08 with a standard deviation of 1.352 and the value of the STIs prevention attitude variable in adolescents is 46.16 with a standard deviation of 3.923. And STIs prevention attitude variable in adolescents has the lowest score of 37 and the highest score of 54. The average value of the STIs prevention attitude variable in adolescents is 46.16 with a standard deviation of 3.923. Based on the results of the t test, the t-count value is 2.181 with a sig value of 0.040. In this study, the results of the t test are significant. Conclusion: there is an influence of behavior on adolescent attitudes in preventing STIs. Suggestions increase knowledge about STIs in all adolescents.

Abstract

The prevalence of cancer in Indonesia reached 1.79 per 1000 population, up from 2013 as much as 1.4 per 1000 population. This research also shows that the highest prevalence is in Yogyakarta as much as 4.86 per 1000 population, followed by West Sumatra 2.47, and Gorontalo 2.44. In women, the highest case was breast cancer at 42.1 per 100,000 population with an average death rate of 17 per 100,000. After that, cervical cancer was 23.4 per 100,000 population. The main goal of early detection of breast cancer is to find cancer in stage I level, so that the treatment becomes better. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship betweenbreast self-examination (BSE) knowledge level and the practice of breast self-examination (BSE). The type of research used is a correlative research with a cross sectional approach. In this study using a sampling technique on the entire population of 20 people. The results showed that most of them had good knowledge, namely 17 (85.5%) respondents, most of them did conscious practice, namely 18 (90%) respondents. There is no significant relationship between knowledge about being aware and practicing consciously as evidenced by the p value of 0.869 (p 0.05). Suggestions are aimed especially at young women to always add insight about health, especially to be aware to avoid breast cancer
