Abstract

Abstrak: The workers in clinical laboratories were suspected to always threatened a number of risks and potential accidents due to the interaction between the labor, equipment, materials and labor and environmental situation in it. In addition, the lack of understanding and awareness of companies/agencies and workers to anticipated and managed the potential risks in the laboratory in accordance with established standards. Research has been conducted in nine private clinical laboratories from February to December 2014 with 39 respondents of laboratory workers. This research was a quantitative study which using observational design. Data collection techniques in this research was using interviews, direct observation and questionnaires which distributed to the management of clinical laboratory and clinical laboratory workers. The quality of the clinical laboratory in Pekanbaru city of fair quality were three of eight laboratories. The results of clinical laboratory management signified the majority of fair quality that five of the eight laboratories in Pekanbaru city. The results of behavioral assessment of clinical laboratory workers were not well behaved. Measurement of behavior consists of knowledge attitude and practice of clinical laboratory workers. The measurement results of clinical laboratory workers were moderate categorized, nice attitudes, but the practice was not well categorized.

Abstract

Abstract: The research was conducted from March to June 2015 during the rainy season and the Village were located in four Selatpanjang South Village, East Selatpanjang, Selatpanjang City and West Selatpanjang Tebing Tinggi District of Riau Kepulauan Meranti. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential availability of rainwater, water needs population in the region Selatpanjang 2030, the development of rainwater harvesting systems and outlines the relationship with environmental, social and economic. The method used in this study was the observation by analyzing rainfall, debit mainstay, drainage coefficient (α), population projections, the ratio of the number of residents with clean water needs as well as rainwater harvesting design. The results showed that the potential of rainwater in the area amounted to an average Selatpanjang 1724.8 mm/year, of the four sub regions Selatpanjang rain water can be harvested amounted to 17.248 billion liters/year. The four village Selatpanjang region in 2030 amounted 49 471 inhabitants population in predicted, so, it is necessary to clean water for 534 286 800 liters for three months. So if managed and well developed, the rain water can meet the need of clean water Selatpanjang community throughout the year. How to manage it is by developing the rainwater harvesting system with a system of individual, communal for three families and communal for five families and build ponds to accommodate the run-off. Economically, the use of rainwater harvesting system is cheaper than buying water each summer, primarily communal system for three families. Socially aspects that bring positive habits and reduce conflicts between neighbors and the environment, with the principle of sustainable utilization of natural resources. The quality of rain water in Selatpanjang meets the criteria for clean water, so it can be used as a source of clean water.

Abstract

Abstract: Research "of Activated Carbon Composite Materials from Rubber wood Sawdust and addition of Fe3O4 +PVDFNano-Magnetic for Liquid Waste Absorbent Materials based Heavy Metal". The study aims to measure the ability of activated carbon from rubber wood sawdust as an adsorbent of heavy metals such as Cu, Cd and Pb. This research was performed with colection and analizing data in the laboratory . The mixing process for carbon powder, nano-magnetic Fe3O4 and PVDF were use a ball-milling instrument for 2 hours. Samples were activated with KOH activating agent and followed by carbonization process at a temperature of 850 ° C. Results of the untreated samples for the liquid waste contain of Cu, Cd, and Pb with concentration of 15.2918 ppm, 5.5444 ppm and 84.9456 ppm, respectively. Once treated with rubber wood based activated carbon the maximum adsorption occurs in time immersion for 2 hours. The maximum adsorption concentration were as high as 7.8964 ppm (48.36%), 5.0067 ppm (9.69%) and 23.6320 ppm (72.17%) for Cu, Cd and Pb, respectively. The next absorption process were followed by combination of activated carbon and nano-magnetic Fe3O4, the result were 0.2592 ppm (98.30%), 4.5189 ppm (18.49%) and 1.1635 ppm (98.63%) for Cu, Cd and Pb. The maximum adsorption concentration after treated with a mixture of carbon powder and nano-magnetic Fe3O4 plus PVDF, for Cu was 0.2843 ppm (98.14%), Cd was 4.6650 ppm (15.86%) and Pb at 0.7574 ppm ( 99.10%). As a conclution can be found the increasing for the heavy metal absorption for every step experiments, and composite activated carbon, nano magnetic Fe3O4 and PVDF was the best asbsorption material for heavy metal ion in the liquid waste.

Abstract

Abstrak: This study aims to analyze governance and harvest fish Lubuk Larangan Rantau Pandan Village Bungo Resindence. This research is carried in March-August 2015 in a river of Rantau Pandan Village Bungo Residence, Jambi. The metod that is used is survey method. Then using SWOT analysis with regard to Lubuk Larangan with assesses each internal and external factors. Based on the observation efforts made by communities around the bottom of the prohibition only covers the preservation of fish species alone and the lack of cooperation between the government and the surrounding community.

Abstract

Abstrak: The objectives in research on the effects of CO and SO2 to ilness parking attendant is to analyze ilness suffered a parking attendant at the Mall SKA Pekanbaru in working on indoor parking. The description of the illness suffered a parking attendant at SKA Pekanbaru Mall is 21.3% feel the illness, sometimes reaching 33.2% and 45.4% never reached. Exposure to CO over high concentration at night and exposure to SO2 evenly in the morning, afternoon and evening. There is a real impact concentration of CO exposure to the pain felt by the parking attendant. This pain can be perceived from the parking attendants to the environmental conditions the parking lot itself. The condition is more common at night. Then the results related to the impact of SO2 exposure to pain proved to be a significant impact on the illnes parking attendant.

Abstract

Abstrak: The study aimed to determine adiwiyata program effects on knowledge, behaviour and skills of students and teachers also compared schools that have implemented the adiwiyata program with schools that have not implemented adiwiyata program. This study is a quantitative descriptive research. The subjects were students and teachers of SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci and SMK Negeri 1 Bunut with total 194 people. The data collection methode used were questionnaires, interviews and observations, data analysis technique using Chi-square test with SPSS version 20 for windows. Results of the study Chi Square test showed between SMK 1 Pangkalan Kerinci with SMKN 1 Bunut about students' knowledge Chi Square count 140.437 and Chi Square table 101.879, student behavior Chi Square count 102.920 and Chi Square tables 101.879 and attitudes Chi Square count 101 994 and Chi Square tables 101.879. Knowledge, attitudes and skills of teachers Chi Square test results Chi Square count of 10,000 and Chi Square Table 18.307. It can be concluded that the existence of a significant difference of knowledge, attitudes and skills of students between SMK 1 Pangkalan Kerinci with SMKN 1 Bunut, because the value of Chi Square count is greater than the value of Chi Square table and there was no significant difference about knowledge, attitudes and skills teacher between SMKN 1 Pangkalan Kerinci with SMKN 1 Bunut, because there is a calculated value of Chi Square is smaller than the value of Chi Square table.

Abstract

Abstract: The number of boiler chicken farm located in the community felt starting to annoy people, especially the chicken farm located close to residential areas. Many people complained about the bad effects of the operations of the boiler chicken farm because there are many farmers who ignore the handling of waste of effort. The impact that can arise is the smell of chicken farms, the emergence of flies and fears spread of bird flu virus. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the sewage smell chicken farm on the incidence of psychosomatic symptoms in a residential community surrounding villages cage Sei Lembu Makmur 2014. The design of this study analytic observational, cross-sectional study approach. This research was conducted in the month of January to August 2014. The sample in this study that people around the cage which amounts to 43 respondents. Data was collected through questionnaires and a doctor's diagnosis. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis were processed using the computerized system and Lambda test. The results showed that respondents ammonia contaminated and uncontaminated 21 people 22 people (51.2 %), which has a disturbing perception as many as 23 people (53.5 %) and did not interfere with 20 people (46.5 %) and respondents who had psychosomatic disorders is 13 people (30.2 %) and not psychosomatic 30 people (69.8%) .Based Lambda test showed that there was no relationship between the concentration of ammonia with psychosomatic disorders in settlements around the cage Sei Lembu Makmur (p = 1.000> 0.05) and there was no relationship between perception and psychosomatic disorders in the settlements around the cage Sei Lembu Makmur (p = 0.462> 0.05). For the people around the cage explain to the public that air pollution by ammonia due to the smell of the chicken coop with the highest ammonia concentration of 3.32 ppm which means no influence posed to human health.

Abstract

Abstrak: Personal hygiene and environmental sanitation is an important factor in the health care effort to avoid infection worms. Research has been conducted on vegetable farmers in Sub District of Marpoyan Damai Maharatu Pekanbaru City in March - May 2015 with a total sample of 50 people. The result showed that the majority of workers in the village vegetable worm disease Maharatu positive experience with this type of Ascaris lumbricoides and including minor infections. There is a relationship use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), health nails, wash hands, clean water, latrine quality and sewage with the incidence of the disease in Sub Maharatu worms.
