Abstract

The purpose of this study is to measure the motivation of graduates of seafarers to become lectures in the Program Diploma Pelayaran-Universitas Hang Tuah Surabaya (PDP-UHT) using professional training variables, professional recognition, job market considerations, financial awards, work environment and policy and administration, to get a true picture of existing and ongoing conditions.As well as measuring factors to be educators in PDP-UHT related regulations from the Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Dirjen Dikti) and Kementrian Perhubungan Laut (Dirjen Hubla). Career selection planning is a very important thing to achieve success in career. The plan includes consideration of some of the dominant factors in career selection. Graduates of PDP-UHT seafarers in choosing their career will have various considerations. On the other hand the shipping university in this case is the PDP-UHT has two main institutions that must be obeyed, namely the Dirjen Dikti and Dirjen Hublaabout the implementation of the program related to the fulfillment of the minimum number of lecture for each course is to meet the qualifications of both institutions.

Abstract

Curriculum development is a process of planning and compiling curriculum by the academic sector or curriculum developer so that the resulting curriculum can be a reference used in achieving national education goals. Character building is the process of providing education and training in the context of increasing knowledge, expertise, skills and shaping the behavior of human resources. The purpose of this study is to explain how much influence the curriculum development and character development of cadets have on the quality of education in the Program Diploma Pelayaran. The methodology of this research is quantitative method, the number of respondents is 171 with the results of the research that the R value is a multiple of 0,947 show evidence of curriculum development and character building have a very strong relationship to the quality of education variables.

Abstract

In the process of building a construction project, work delays often occur on the project. So we need an alternative that can be used to support the acceleration of project completion. In this study, we will analyze the acceleration of duration in the construction project of RSUB Malang Building, with the alternative of adding four hours of work and the work shift system (morning shift and night shift). The total project cost budget in post-crashing conditions with the alternative of additional working hours was Rp.12,312,448,567.00 or more expensive 0.82% of the total project cost budget under normal conditions and the duration of project implementation was 191 working days or faster 9, 05% of the normal duration, while the total project budget in conditions after crashing with an alternative work shift system was Rp. 12,155,175,517.00 or 0.47% cheaper than the total project cost budget under normal conditions and the duration of project implementation was 179 days or 14.76% faster than the normal duration. It can be concluded that implementing a work shift system is a more effective and economical alternative to crashing, because the duration is faster and the total project cost budget is cheaper.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of leadership, organizational climate, and individual characteristics on the performance of cooperative management in Martapura, South Kalimantan. This research was conducted on cooperative managers in Martapura, South Kalimantan, where the population was all cooperative managers. The population in this study amounted to 148 cooperative managers, while the sample taken in this study was 71 respondents. The validity of the questionnaire was tested by using the Pearson Product Moment correlation method, while the reliability test of the questionnaire used the Cronbach Alpha method. The data analysis technique was carried out using the Multiple Linear Regression method. Based on the research results and data analysis, it was concluded that; (1) simultaneously the variables of leadership, organizational climate, individual characteristics affect the performance of cooperative management in Martapura, South Kalimantan at an error rate of 5%. The three variables, namely leadership, organizational climate and individual characteristics together are able to contribute 76% to changes in the performance of cooperatives in Martapura, South Kalimantan, while the remaining 24% is the contribution of other variables not observed in this study, (2) leadership partially influences the performance of cooperative management in Martapura, South Kalimantan. The contribution of organizational climate to the performance of cooperative management in Martapura, South Kalimantan is 57%. Leadership affects the performance of cooperative management in Martapura, South Kalimantan by 68.6%. Individual characteristics affect the performance of cooperative administrators in Martapura, South Kalimantan by 28.1%, (3) the most dominant variable affecting cooperative management in Martapura South Kalimantan is leadership, because it has the highest standardized coefficients beta value of 0.546 compared to the value of standardized coefficients beta variable. another free.

Abstract

The port is an important means for sea transportation that makes the distance achieved will feel closer or faster, especially for the developing regional economic sector because the center of goods production can be marketed smoothly. The high productivity of the port shows that the port has provided and is seeking decent service. Corona Virus Disease 2019 or better known as Covid-19 in December 2019, and spread to Indonesia in March 2020. The sea transportation sector received a major impact from the reduction in community activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. The main activities of ports that support world trade must be continue to run safely during the Covid-19 pandemic, which of course requires policies to deal with this situation. The loading and unloading performance can be affected by bad weather and obstacles that have an impact on obstacles, in this case the Covid-19 pandemic is one of the influential factors in developing activities at ports. Research purposes is to determine the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the productivity of loading and unloading at BUP PT. DABN Probolinggo branch. Descriptive qualitative research, the approach used in writing this final project is a field research approach. The effect of Covid-19 on loading and unloading productivity at BUP PT. DABN Probolinggo Branch before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, obtaining Covid-19 results only affected the process before the ship docked at the port, namely additional health checks on the crew regarding indications of exposure to the Covid-19 virus. Meanwhile, in terms of loading and unloading productivity, based on data obtained, the difference in the number of shiploads before and during the pandemic there was an increase in the number of 72 ships docked (an increase of 0.11%) and the difference in the number of cargoes increased by 98,260 tons (an increase of 0.062%). Covid-19 only has an impact on additional procedures carried out before the ship docks at the port, namely the port health officer is obliged to check the health of the ship for any indications of the Covid-19 virus on the crew.

Abstract

PT. Nilam Port Terminal Indonesia is a multipurpose port that provides container loading and unloading terminal operator services at the port. A fire in a container terminal can cause a lot of losses because it affects the value of assets, work processes and high job opportunities. One of the efforts to reduce the risk and impact of fires is the existence of an emergency response system. One of the efforts to reduce the risk and impact caused by fire requires the application of a good and correct emergency response system in accordance with applicable regulations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of an emergency response system in an effort to prevent and control fire disasters at the container terminal of PT. Nilam Port Terminal Indonesia. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, and uses primary data sources obtained from sources and secondary data obtained from documents containing descriptive facts through interviews and field observations. This research was conducted directly at PT. Nilam Port Terminal Indonesia. In this research, we will describe how the implementation of the fire emergency response system in PT. Nilam Port Terminal Indonesia. The results of this analysis can be concluded that PT. Nilam Port Terminal Indonesia has implemented a fire emergency response system in accordance with applicable regulations, but there are several implementations that are not yet optimal, such as improper placement and maintenance of fire extinguishers, workers' awareness of fire hazards, and less fire emergency response training.
