Abstract

At PT. XYZ often experiences damage problems during the production process, the high level of damage often causes corrective activities. The high level of corrective activities is caused by replacing components after the component is damaged and this causes high downtime. The average damage to the vh-drum component has a damage frequency of 23 times and a downtime of 3052 minutes in a year. In this study, the aim was to obtain a time interval for replacing sonic seals to reduce maintenance costs by using the age replacement method. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the replacement interval for the Vh-Drum Component of the Baby Diaper Production Machine has decreased with the previous down time of 3052 with the replacement interval for the Vh-Drum Component of the Baby Diaper Production Machine is Baby Diaper is 70,301 days with a total costs IDR 21,735,945, 67 days with a total cost of IDR 22,831,972, 60,883 days with a total cost of IDR 25,018,276. Meanwhile, the smallest cost falls at an interval of 70,301 days with a total cost of Rp. 21,735,945.

Abstract

Security is one form of convenience to protect archives or important objects such as land certificates, BPKB, and many others, and as a place to store these items a safe is created, with the development of technology, the safe is combined with several electronic components, a modern safe is created without a conventional key, only uses radio frequency identification which is already supported with an E-KTP and password to open it, uses a PIR sensor and an esp32 camera to find out who will access the safe and can be monitored every time. time via a smartphone using the telegram application, and also the telegram application can control the alarm if something suspicious is seen from the esp32 camera.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to build a distance learning guidance information system in the era of covid 19. Therefor supporting technology facility is needed in creating a change in teaching and learning procedure into digital form that can be accessed online. The researcher took the initiative to implement learning guidance system using the distance method. The method used in this research is quantitative. The result that have been achieved in this research is to add insight into the latest information systems. The result of the research obtained resulted in a web-based distance learning guidance application system in the covid-19 era. The benefit of this research is that the application of distance learning guidance can make it easier for teacher and student to deliver material quickly. In the process of developing a web-based distance learning guidance system, using the PHP programming language version 7.3.27. Testing the system using the black box testing method to test the functional system so as to produce a system that works well.

Abstract

One of the problems that often occurs is that housewives are worried about their clothes getting wet in the rainy season. The automatic roof control system in the drying room is the best way to help the process of drying clothes in the rainy season. In this study, roof automation was developed using rain sensors and LDR as light detectors. NodeMCU esp3266 is also used so that the device can be controlled remotely with the Internet of Things system. The way this tool works is when the sun is hot the roof will open and when it rains the roof will close automatically, the heater and fan turn on simultaneously when the roof closes. The results of this study are the tool can detect rain and light then the heater and fan can work when the tool closes the roof with a maximum duration of 60 minutes. This tool can also operate remotely with the farthest range at 21 km.

Abstract

This research started from plant observation, preparation, design of component and circuit specifications, assembly, work steps, and evaluation. The results of the study will prove the tool works or not, if the soil moisture sensor detects the soil moisture is reduced by 50%, then the sensor will respond and send a signal to the microcontroller to activate the relay so that the pump will turn on automatically. The monitoring system on the device can be accessed via a smartphone, the signal is sent by the smartphone and then captured by the microcontroller, then processed and the output can be an image of the monitored plant. This tool is also equipped with a water reservoir that can also be monitored from a smartphone. If the water in the reservoir reaches 30% of the capacity of the reservoir, the Water Level sensor will send a signal to the microcontroller and warn that the water level is very low, then send an order to the owner to immediately fill the reservoir. At night this tool is also equipped with an LDR sensor if the light intensity is less then the LED will light up.

Abstract

For the manometer that will be used in this study, using a U column type manometer filled with a fluid for measuring pressure, this manometer was designed using a simple tool at the time of manufacture. This manometer will be tested for its level of accuracy in the Head Losses test on the piping system. That is by using 3 types of fluids, namely resin, glycerol, and mercury where the pressure is generated from the flow of water in a straight pipe and an Elbow where this Manometer is placed in a straight pipe and also in the Elbow so here using 2 Manometers for testing. Then the test is carried out according to the specified variables, in order to obtain research data. After that determine the results of the pressure measurement of the 3 types of fluids used. The pressure measurement uses water discharge measuring 20, 15, and 10L/min. Then determine each result from each fluid where each fluid is experimented 3 times to determine the average value. If you have obtained the average value of each height difference (∆h) in each fluid, then determine the pressure value (Pa). The results of the Head Losses test on the piping test show that the resin value is close to the mercury value while the glycerol value is quite far. Abstract

The welding technique is often the choice in the joining process because of its light weight and relatively simple characteristics. Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a welding method that was created and developed by The Welding Institute (TWI) in 1991. This easy, fast, and environmentally friendly welding process has been widely applied to construction, especially aluminum materials. The material used in the experiment was AA 6005-T6 6mm thick with varying tool speed parameters 765 1208 1907 3020 (rpm), feed rate 24 43 65 90 (mm/m), engine tilt, pin model (hexagonal, taper square, taper cylinder, cylinder), as well as an incision depth of 0.05 0.1 0.15 0.2 (mm). Using the Taguchy and ANNOVA methods as calculations and data processing. The test carried out is the impact test of the Charpy method using the ASTM E23 standard. After calculating with the Minitab 19 application, it was found that the most influential factor on the impact strength was the engine speed parameter of 765rpm which contributed 28.95%. Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of wind flow in the open type wind tunnel and compare actual measurements and simulation results with software. The actual method used is testing using a wind tunnel, anemometer, dimmer, axial suction fan with parameters RPM 615, 1932, 2400,2860, and the simulation used using solidwork flow simulation software with parameters Inlet Velocity 1.4 m/s, 2.6 m /s, 3.9 m/s, 4.2 m/s. From the results of the study, it was found that the velocity of the air flowing through the wind tunnel channel obtained the largest value of 14.05 m/s and the smallest value of 0.5 m/s. has a different speed in each section which is influenced by the shape and dimensions of each section. in each section if the velocity is low the flow pattern is laminar, if the velocity is medium the flow pattern is transitional and if the velocity is high the flow pattern is turbulent. And the results of the comparison of actual and simulated velocity occur in the form of a similar flow pattern

Abstract

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a welding method that utilizes heat from friction between two objects, namely the tool and the material being welded. To melt the material with heat required about 80% of the melting temperature of the material. In the FSW simulation to predict the temperature distribution on the AA6061-T6 plate measuring 200mm long, 100mm wide, 6mm thick using various pin shapes, namely, cylinder, taper cylinder, hexagonal, and taper square showing at a distance of 140mm with a hexagonal pin the temperature value is 481° C where the temperature is higher than the other pins when measured from the same distance. When using a taper square pin a distance of 190mm the temperature value is 468°C which is the lowest temperature when compared to using other pins when measured from the same distance. The results of the calculation of the heat transfer rate show that the largest energy is 7110 watts which is located at position 1 and close to the FSW tool area. Energy will decrease further if the measured position is further away from the FSW tool position.

Abstract

Betts Indonesia a company engaged in manufacturing tube manufacture. This study aims to determine a comfortable working posture to optimize performance and be able to minimize injuries to body parts. Data processing was carried out by measuring body dimensions and distributing research questionnaires to 40 respondents. The method used to see how severe the level of risk of injury is using REBA. Based on the initial calculation process at the packing tube work station using the REBA method, it has an average risk level of 11 which is included in the high risk level and needs to be repaired immediately. After repairing the work aids, the REBA score was 6 which was included in the medium level. The work aids that have been made can help improve the operator's work posture so as to minimize the risk of injury and make it easier to check the product and reduce the level of defects in the product.
