Abstract

This study focuses on developing desktop-based interactive learning media, "MISTAR," to address challenges such as student boredom and comprehension difficulties in computer lab settings. Using the ADDIE method, the research involved interviews with a network systems administration teacher, observations of X-grade TKJ students, and expert validation. Results showed high feasibility (88% media expert validation, 91% subject matter expert validation, and 90.8% average from limited-scale trials), indicating strong potential for improving engagement and understanding in educational environments. Further research is recommended to explore implementation and effectiveness in schools. Highlight: Improved Learning Experience: Interactive media development enhances student engagement effectively. Abstract

This quantitative study investigates the impact of integrating Powtoon media into English language education to improve ninth-grade students' narrative text writing skills. The research, conducted in a single class at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Taman, involved 26 students selected through purposive sampling. Pre-tests and post-tests were administered before and after using Powtoon, with findings indicating a significant enhancement in students' grammar, vocabulary, and narrative coherence. The study highlights Powtoon's potential as an engaging educational tool to address learning challenges and improve language learning outcomes, recommending further content development for future research and teaching practices. Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study explores the independent characteristics of second-grade students at Betro Elementary School (SDN Betro) within the context of online learning. Through interviews, observations, and documentation, the study investigates the self-reliance of students, the dynamics of parent-student interaction, and the daily habits cultivated by students in response to online education. Findings reveal a notable level of self-reliance among students, manifested in their ability to complete tasks autonomously and adhere to schedules. Positive communication and collaboration between parents and students are observed, fostering a conducive learning environment. The study underscores the importance of nurturing self-reliance in elementary students for successful online learning and provides valuable insights for educators and policymakers aiming to optimize remote education at the elementary level. Abstract

This research explores how communication strategies assist seventh-grade students in overcoming English-speaking challenges at SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Boarding School Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo, Indonesia. Using qualitative methods, including observation and semi-structured interviews, the study identifies various strategies employed by students, such as avoidance, paraphrase, borrowing, appeal for assistance, and mime, with language switch in borrowing being predominant. Findings indicate a positive impact of these strategies on students' ability to achieve communication goals. This study underscores the importance of optimizing communication strategies to enhance English proficiency and facilitate effective communication in language learning environments. Abstract

This classroom action research investigates the efficacy of finger painting activities in enhancing the fine motor skills of 5-6-year-old children at Ittihadul Ummah Ngoro Kindergarten. Conducted over two cycles with 20 students in Group B, the study employs observation, tests, interviews, and documentation for data collection. Results indicate a notable improvement in children's fine motor skills, with average achievements rising from 61% to 78% between Cycle I and Cycle II. The findings underscore the value of integrating sensory-rich, hands-on activities like finger painting into early childhood education to support holistic development and academic readiness. Abstract

This quantitative study examines the creative abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Sidoarjo in addressing global warming issues. Conducted on June 21, 2023, with 43 participants, the research utilized a validated creative thinking skills test alongside literature reviews. Findings indicate varying levels of creativity among students, with the majority demonstrating high creativity overall but lower proficiency specifically concerning global warming topics, scoring at 35.47%. These results emphasize the importance of tailored interventions to enhance students' creative thinking skills, particularly in understanding complex scientific concepts like environmental sustainability, informing curriculum development and instructional strategies to foster creativity and environmental literacy. Abstract

This study aims to explore the efficacy of collage activities using paper clay media in enhancing fine motor skills among 4-5-year-old children at TK Aisyiyah 2 Porong. Employing a classroom action research (CAR) design, the study progresses through planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection involved observation, documentation, and interviews, analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The research found that fine motor skills significantly improved, with an average achievement in Cycle I at 70% and Cycle II at 83%. Teacher activity scores also increased from 2.3 to 3.8 between cycles. Results indicate the success of collage activities using paper clay in enhancing fine motor skills. The study underscores the importance of demonstration and practice methods in facilitating children's understanding and proficiency in fine motor activities. The findings offer implications for educators and curriculum developers seeking to enhance fine motor skills in early childhood education through innovative, hands-on approaches. Abstract

his study investigates the efficacy of utilizing the "Word Box" media to enhance beginning reading skills among 5-6-year-old children in a preschool setting. Through a classroom action research (PTK) approach involving 12 participants, the study demonstrates a significant improvement in beginning reading proficiency from 17% in the pre-cycle to 83% in cycle II. The findings underscore the effectiveness of the intervention in improving early literacy skills and highlight its implications for teacher pedagogy and classroom management in preschool education. Abstract

This research introduces MUDIG (Mobile Understanding Digital Graphic) learning media, designed to enhance class X students' comprehension of Graphic Design at Diponegoro Vocational School, Sidoarjo. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model, the study aimed to address the lack of engaging learning materials in vocational education. Results from a small-scale trial showed positive student responses, with an average assessment of 86.6%, alongside high suitability ratings from expert validation. Student feedback emphasized increased interest, motivation, and understanding of the subject matter. These findings underscore the potential of innovative media like MUDIG to improve teaching and learning outcomes in vocational education, suggesting avenues for further exploration and implementation in broader classroom contexts. Abstract

This study examines the relationship between learning discipline, interest in learning, and Mathematics learning outcomes among sixth-grade students at SDN Bulang, using a quantitative correlational approach. Data collected from 35 students through questionnaires and report card assessments were analyzed using SPSS v25. Results indicate a significant correlation between learning discipline, interest in learning, and Mathematics learning outcomes, with correlation coefficients of 0.747 (p=0.003) and 0.909 (p=0.001), respectively. These findings highlight the importance of cultivating both learning discipline and interest in learning to improve Mathematics performance among sixth-grade students, suggesting implications for educational practice and policy.
