Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan 1) metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di LKP Babaking Course, 2) strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di LKP Babaking Course, 3) kendala yang dihadapi dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di LKP Babaking Course. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah pengajar bahasa Jepang di LKP Babaking Course. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di LKP Babaking Course yaitu direct method dan metode audiolingual. (2) strategi yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang yaitu strategi tanya jawab, drill, pemberian tugas. (3) kendala yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di LKP Babaking Course yaitu kurangnya pemahaman terhadap penguasaan kosakata.

Abstract

Education is an essential aspect to get success in this competitive world. Sadly, the education world was shocked by numerous negative incidents happening in public schools around the globe, such as physical violence, gun violence, drug abuse and psychological bullying. One of the solutions to this problem is to give character education by implementing Living Values Education (LVE) in schools. In Mahima Institute Indonesia, an English Language Course in Bali, LVE is applied to embed living values in students’ character. There are twelve values taught to students, namely peace, love, respect, responsibility, tolerance, honesty, humility, happiness, cooperation, simplicity, freedom and unity. These values are embedded in many activities in classroom through songs, games, projects and other activities. This study utilized qualitative research approach. Meanwhile, the research method is a case study. The data collection techniques were in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques were carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study show that LVE provide opportunities to students to explore more about values and why it is important. LVE also creates a positive learning environment in classroom and teach the students how to be respectful, care for each other while having fun in classroom. Therefore, the students learn not only academically, but also characters.

Abstract

This research investigates the address term used in Balinese kinship and English kinship, and show how they different. Society cannot be separated from doing interaction to each other through communicate using the language. Address term is commonly use in communication to address the interlocutor, such as families and relatives. This study uses descriptive qualitative approach. The data is focused on the address term use in kinship system in Bali and compare to English Kinship. The data of Balinese kinship are collected by observing the daily communication in the society and also conduct an interview to fifteen participants, while English kinship data were taken from previous researches. The result of this study show that Balinese kinship has many address terms in kinship system that differentiated by each caste, and Balinese kinship is more complex than English kinship.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of interactive powerpoint. The purpose of developing this media is to guide students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is research and development, with the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) development model by Luther. This model consists of 6 stages, namely concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution. Data collection was carried out using interview and questionnaire methods in the form of expert test questionnaires (media expert test, material expert test) and product trials to produce quality products. The resulting media consists of 9 themes learning material which contain new vocabulary, conversations which questions, conclusions and exercises. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the score obtained from the material expert was 87.5 (very appropriate), from media experts, namely 94.5 (very appropriate). The score obtained from the results of a limited trial questionnaire with teachers is 100 (very appropriate), while that of students is 100% (very feasible). The develop media is very suitable for use in learning Japanese.

Abstract

This research aims to develop three learning animated videos with a duration of 4-6 minutes in mp4. Format. This research is a Research and Development using MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method that are introduced by Luther-Sutopo (in Binanto, 2010). The purpose of this research is to help the teacher and student on the lesson session, also to help motivate the student interest in learning Bunpo Shochukyu. Collecting reference data was done by interviewing the teacher and giving questionnaire to the students. The data that are obtained was analyzed using qualitative and quantitative method. The tests are Alpha Test which are tested with Media Expert and Material Expert, whereas Beta Test is tested with small group of second semester Japanese Language Education Students. Result of the first test is 56 points (Very Good) and second test is 57 points (Very Good) from the Media Expert and 48 points at first test (Good) and second test is 49 points (Good) from Material Expert of Alpha Test, whereas the average results of Beta Test are 101 points (Good). With these tests results, the animated learning videos can be utilized in the subject of Bunpo Shochukyu Chapter 38-40

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk umptan dan untuk menjabarkan teknik penerjemahan dalam film High and Low The Movie. Penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan instrumen utama menggunakan kartu data. Teori yang digunakan yaitu teori bahasa bahasa yang dikemukakan oleh Tarigan (1984). sedangkan teknik penerjemahan menggunakan teori Molina&Albir (2002). Hasil dari penelitian ditemukan 23 data yang mengandung bentuk bahasa umpatan yaitu: marah sebanyak (6) mengancam sebanyak (3), mengejek sebanyak (9), dan meremehkan sebanyak (5). Dari 18 Teknik penerjemahan yang, ditemukan sebanyak 4, yaitu: 1) Adaptation sebanyak 11 data; 2) Amplifikasi sebanyak 5 data; 3) Established sebanyak 2 data; 4) borrowing sebanyak 5 data.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop a Toonly animation video suitable for the bunpo shochukyu course at the Japanese Language Education Study Program at Ganesha University of Education (UNDIKSHA); and (2) analyze the feasibility level of the Toonly animation video suitable for the bunpo shochukyu course at the Japanese Language Education Study Program at Ganesha University of Education (UNDIKSHA). This study uses the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) development model modified by Binanto. The subjects of this study were grade 2 students at the UNDIKSHA Japanese Language Education Study Program. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Data was collected by conducting interviews and completing questionnaires. The results of this study are: (1) Three animation videos which are suitable video characteristics according to the Buncher (2) Based on expert judgment material, the animated video received an average rating of 54 (very good). According to the media expert's assessment, animated videos obtained an average rating of 57 (very good). Meanwhile, in the assessment of six actors, an average rating of 115.1 (very good) was obtained. Based on the results of the assessment, the three animation videos were declared suitable for use in the Bunpo Shochukyu course at the UNDIKSHA Japanese Language Education Study Program.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and describe the model of speech from the results of interviews that occurred in the conversation "Who is the Ideal Candidate for Young People" in Mata Najwa and this can be used as a useful language teaching tool. This research is a research with a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was carried out by recording and note-taking techniques. Data analysis was carried out through several procedures: (1) data reduction (data selection and data coding), (2) data presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions and data verification. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the conclusion of this research is that the researcher found a functiona form of conversational implicature in Mata Najwa's interactive dialogue with public officials. By using the theory of conversation analysis with several aspects in it such as opening and closing analysis, adjecency pairs, topic management, turn-taking, preference organization, feedback, and improvement, in accordance with the theory of conversation analysis in discourse analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to verify the types of metaphor and to find metaphor's meaning of original soundtrack of One Piece's lyrics. The method of this study are listening and documentation. This study was analyzed by descriptive qualitative which the main instrument is card data. The lyrics of this article seen as poem. The types of metaphor and metaphor's meaning were analyzed using the theory of metaphor by Knowless and Moon (2006). The finding shows that were 28 data using metaphor, there were 5 personification, 10 simile, 10 metonymy, and 3 synthetic. The using metaphors on lyrics of One Piece are to represent spirits, friendship, and obstacles of the adventure to fulfill our dreams .

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe classroom management activities carried out by teachers in Japanese language learning at Karya Wisata Singaraja High School. This study used descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of the study show that the classroom management carried out by the teacher in learning Japanese as a whole is fairly good. Classroom management is carried out to create and maintain optimal learning conditions, so that learning objectives can be achieved. The teacher has applied the principles of classroom management and the components of classroom management well. However, flexibility as well as finding and solving behaviors that cause problems are not carried out by the teacher. Teachers do not use laptops and LCDs because they are constrained by technological knowledge and limited school facilities.
