Abstract

Steel welding, especially soft steel with carbon content ranging from 0.3%, which is installed in the construction of fishing vessels, often using various types of electrodes including kobe steel RB, 26 Niko steel RD 260 Esap steel OK 46,64, Philips steel PH 68 JIS D 4314, AWS E 6013 and others, while LPG Las only uses bait welding from welding wire with a size of 3-5 mm. The purpose of this study is to examine the tensile strength of metal welding results between welds of Electricity with LPG Welding. The variable observed in this study is the amount of tensile strength in two types of electric welding machines and LPG welding. From the data obtained from the test results, then the magnitude of the tensile strength is sought by distributing the results of observations with cross sections of test specimens used in the form of stretch loads, mouth strength, maximum load, maximum tensile strength, broken load and elastic modulus. From the results of the tensile testing performed, it turns out that there is a difference in the welding power of Electric with LPG Gas welding where the electric welding strength is greater than the welding strength of LPG Gas. The electric weld tensile strength is 69.13 Kgf / mm² and LPG Gas welding is 26.20 Kgf / mm²

Abstract

Bitung Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic is located in the city of Bitung, North Sulawesi province. One of the universities under the Maritime and Fisheries Polytechnic under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Bitung, is a vocational university in Indonesia in the field of Marine and Fisheries in 2015, starting to recruit fishermen / main actors / special pathways. The time of the study was conducted in August 2018 until November 2018. Locations at the Bitung Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic. Sources of data obtained from students at the Polytechnic KP Bitung special lane (children of the main actors / fishermen). Furthermore, scoring and analysis using Cattel 1971 analysis. The conclusions in this study are the conditions of level I, II and III of the main actors. Midshipman and junior high school level 51.9 percent in the average category. Midshipmen and junior high school level II are 60 percent average. Midshipman-leveluni level III 55.3 percent in the average category.

Abstract

Cakalang City is a nickname for the city of Bitung which is one of the Minapolitan areas and industrialization of capture fisheries in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to assess the sustainability status of the Cakalang fisheries in Bitung and develop a strategy for managing the Cakalang fisheries in Bitung to be sustainable. Analysis of existing conditions and indexes for each dimension of sustainable management of skipjack resources, including ecological, economic, social, institutional and technological dimensions is carried out using the Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) approach with ordination techniques modified from the Rapfish program. The sustainability of cakalang fisheries in Bitung at 65.82 percent is in the fairly sustainable category (ecological dimension 46.46 percent, economic dimension 80.01 percent, technology dimension 65.83 percent, and institutional dimensions 58.57 percent), sustainability analysis shows Multidimensional sustainability index values indicate the sustainability status of the skipjack fisheries in Bitung is in a fairly sustainable category. Abstract

This rice straw waste contains high levels of hemicellulose, cellulsoa and lignin. Cellulose content is high enough so that the rice waste has the potential as a base for making liquid smoke. One of the uses of liquid smoke is in fish products. The treatment that will be carried out in this study is based on the way the liquid smoke concentration is given to the product, the duration of cooking pressure and the method of liquid smoke. The treatment is: Liquid Smoke Concentration (A), A1: 0.8%, A2: 1.2%, Duration of Presto (B), B1: 60 Minutes, B2: 90 Minutes, B3: 120 Minutes, Method of Giving Liquid Smoke (C), C1: Soaked in Liquid Smoke for 5 minutes then dippedo and then dried at 150 ° C for 30 minutes, C2: Dipresto then soaked in Liquid Smoke for 5 minutes then dried at 150 ° C for 30 minutes, C3: Dipresto in Smoke The liquid is then dried at 150 ° C for 30 minutes. Based on the results of the research obtained, it can be concluded that: Rice Straw can be used as a material for making liquid smoke, Cakalang fish dipresto with liquid smoke using rice straw as the main raw material for skipjack tuna for all treatments, has good quality. Variations in testing of variations in treatment combinations, showed varying differences in each combination of treatments and there was no fixed combination of treatments to describe one test. Hedonic testing, the treatment that shows good results is at a concentration of 1.2%, presto time 90 minutes using either dipresto method or soaked first. In testing the trio duo, the treatment that showed good results was at a concentration of 0.8%, presto time 60 and 90 minutes was also good with the method of either dipresto first or soaked first.

Abstract

Abstract–Bigeye scad resources which landed at Bitung Oceanic Fishing Port is one of important fish capture in Bitung because its have economic value and second ratings after scad mackerel in product volume. Bigeye scad fish capture was often mixed with another species in fisherman fish capture, so it making difficult to distinguish clearly.The objective of this research are : 1) to indentification bigeye scad in morfology, 2) to analyzemolecular bigeye scad, (3) to evidence the bigeye scad are the same species or not.Sample for the study were collectedfish landing site at Bitung Ocean Fishing Port from December 2015 to March 2016. The methodology of the research is survey research. For data analysis using truss morfometrics, principal component analysis (PCA) and mtDNA region COI. The result of this research indicated that based on the analysis of morphometric characters and PCA, bigeye scad and smalleye scad have differences in morphology, but result of mt DNA-COI analysis indicated those species are the same as Selar crumenophthalmus with similarity value 99,67%.
