Abstract

Research objectives were : (1) to descripe the farmer’s perception of Paddy Crop Integrated Management and its Implementation (2) to analyse correlation betwen farmer’s characteristic and their perception of Paddy Crop Integrated Management (3) to analyse correlation between farmer’s perception and the implementation of ICM. The study was conducted in the District Pamekasan, determining tehe location using purposive sampling technique. A number of 42 farmers were collected as respondents. To obtain data, both primary data and secondary data conducted by: interview, directly to the respondent farmer’s using a list of questions’s that havebeen organized and structured interview by using questionnare, observation for obtain about the state of the area to be examined by conducting surveys. To analyse the first goal using desciptiptive analytical, the second purpose is analyse correlation betwen farmer’s characteristic and their perception of Paddy Crop Integrated Management with chi square analysis, the third purpose is analyse correlation between farmer’s perception and the implementation of ICM with chi square analysis. The research results showed that respondents had enough information about ICM paddy. But for the farmer’s perception about BWD is too short. The level implementation of ICM paddy in pamekasan district was enougt high. The relationship betwen farmer’s characteristic and their perception of ICM paddy was correlate. The strong correlate was age, non formal education, and farmer’s income. The farmer’s perception abaout using BWD had strong correlate with the level implementation of BWD.

Abstract

Madura Island has a reputation as one of the herbs that have been tested by the National empirical use. Jamu Madura has tremendous potential as a non-food and agri products have a heritage and cultural identity that should always be preserved. The purpose of this study was to analyze the existence, expectation and reality Jamu Madura development from the perspective of producers and consumers. Type a descriptive study with qualitative methods. Location of study include Sumenep, Pamekasan and Sampang. The experiment was conducted in January to June 2013. Analysis of the data using interactive model. Existence of Jamu Madura is still running and is predicted to achieve an increase in line with the persistence of the production at the producer level and at the level of consumer purchases. Jamu Madura types can be classified into 3 types namely (a) the herbal treatment for women; (b) Herb married couples (couples) and (c) medicinal couples and illness (complete). Marketing Herbalist has spread on the island of Madura Madura, big cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Jawa also reaches beyond even to foreign countries. Expectations of producers and consumers Jamu Madura. Herbal medicine as a cultural heritage that should be preserved and developed. Jamu Madura effort is still to be developed with the production of herbal medicine, the benefits received by producers and sales are still running. Belief according to both producer and consumer perspectives on Jamu Jamu Madura Madura that can heal even though the process is slow but it is not detrimental to health. Jamu Madura proven efficacy perceived by consumers. Jamu Madura reality development consists of efforts include the development of raw materials, product diversification, development, marketing, packaging improvement, human resource development (HRD) research and development. Relevant stakeholders such as the Association of herbal medicine, community leaders, banking, cooperatives and producers need to be aware kompetitior

Abstract

Inseminasi Buatan (IB) kurang mendapatkan sambutan dari peternak yaitu sebesar 4,23 persen dari 12.345 orang peternak di seluruh Kecamatan Waru Kabupaten Pamekasan, sebesar 522 peternak sapi Madura non IB. Tujuan penelitian adalah; (1) mendeskripsikan alasan peternak tidak mengikuti program IB, (2) mendeskripsikan persepsi peternak sapi Madura non IB terhadap program IB, (3) mengidentifikasikan atribut anak sapi non IB yang menjadi pilihan, (4) menganalisis sikap kepercayaan peternak sapi Madura non IB terhadap hasil anak sapi non IB dan IB. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survai melalui pendekatan studi kasus. Penentuan sampel dengan area sampling, besarnya yang terpilih 54 orang peternak dari 522 orang peternak sapi Madura non IB. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data meliputi analisis deskriptif, rataan skoring, dan analisis model sikap Fishbein. Alasan peternak non IB sapinya tidak dikawinkan dengan IB yaitu (a) asal usul pejantan tidak jelas keturunannya, (b) sapinya takut rusak karena anus dirogoh dengan tangan dan alat kelamin dimasukkan alat inseminasi saat melakukan inseminasi. Persepsi peternak sapi Madura non IB mempersepsikan program IB kurang baik, hal ini berhubungan dengan minat dan penilaian peternak sapi Madura non IB terhadap program IB yang kurang baik. Atribut yang menjadi pilihan peternak sapi Madura non IB adalah (a) tanduk melengkung ke dalam, (b) punuk bulat besar, (c) alis hitam/celak tebal, (d) bergelambir, (e) ada kantong rusuk, (f) ada punuk bawah berlipat ke dalam tipis, (g) leher pendek dan lebar, (h) mata sipit, (i) telinga kecil seperti daun bambu, (j) kaki panjang kuat dan kokoh, (k) ada garis hitam dipunggung. Penilaian sikap peternak sapi Madura non IB terhadap anak sapi hasil non IB adalah baik, sedangkan anak sapi hasil IB adalah biasa

Abstract

Usaha peternakan itik semakin diminati sebagai alternatif sumber pendapatan bagi masyarakat di pedesaan maupun di sekitar perkotaan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kondisi lingkungan strategis yang lebih memihak pada usaha peternakan itik, antara lain adalah semakin terpuruknya usaha peternakan ayam ras skala kecil dan munculnya wabah penyakit flu burung yang sangat merugikan peternakan ayam ras maupun ayam kampung. Di samping itu, semakin terbukanya pasar produk itik ikut mendorong berkembangnya peternakan itik di Indonesia. Ternak itik mempunyai beberapa keunggulan, itik memiliki sifat lebih mudah beradaptasi dengan lingkungan karena tidak terpengaruh iklim, lebih mudah dalam perawatan karena tidak rentan terhadap penyakit, pemeliharaannya lebih organik, tidak memerlukan pakan khusus, dan modal yang diperlukan untuk membuka usaha peternakan itik pun relatif kecil. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di sentra peternakan itik rakyat di desa Juluk Kecamatan Saronggi Kabupaten Sumenep mulai tanggal 01 Juni sampai tanggal 30 Juni 2013. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan sebagai media penelitian adalah peternak itik pedaging dengan pengambilan sampel secara Two Stage Cluster Sampling, yaitu mengambil sampel secara cluster berdasarkan skala pemeliharaan peternak dengan 2 (dua) tahapan atau Two Stage. Usaha ternak itik pedaging di Desa Juluk Kecamatan Saronggi Kabupaten Sumenep, diketahui jumlah rata-rata pendapatan bersih usaha tani (NFI) adalah Rp. 3.712.430 (Tiga juta tujuh ratus dua belas ribu empat ratus tiga puluh rupiah), Nilai profitabilitas atau Gross Profit Margin (GPM) adalah = 168,441%, besarnya nilai laba yang memadai dalam usaha tani (ROI) adalah = 37,094% , sedangkan nilai bunga deposito Bank Indonesia (BI) saat penelitian adalah 6,5% pertahun atau 0,7222% per produksi (6,5% /9 kali produksi), atau ROI > nilai bunga deposito bank. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa usaha ternak itik pedaging di Desa Juluk Kecamatan Saronggi Kabupaten Sumenep mampu menghasilkan laba yang memadai.

Abstract

Plant protection is an integral part of the system and business sustainability. The Agency's biological Development Center (PPAH) as the first door for farmers or farmers groups in empowering farmers in integrated pest control. The purpose of the research is to identify factors internal and external environments that include strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the PPAH Shinta in developing Biological Agency in Pamekasan Galis and define alternative strategies PPAH Shinta. The results showed the internal, external factors and alternative strategies as follows: internal factors which contributed towards the development of PPAH Shinta in developing biological products to agencies in district of Galis, Pamekasan strength: tooling AH, enough Experience, the number of members is pretty good, service, increasing revenue PPAH Shinta. While the disadvantage is: low-member partipasi, lack of product diversification, the partnership has not been optimized and insufficient counselling as well as dependence on government programs. The external factors which influence on development of the PPAH Shinta in developing biological products to agencies in district of Galis, Pamekasan have opportunities: the potential of vast open land, many farmers, the potential amount of resources (commodities variety), development of supportive government policies, AH. While the threats are: many who develop, farmers less leverage the use of biodiversity, the Trust Agency farmers against product quality the effect is longer, better quality competitors, following standard Laboratory applications PHPOPTH. An alternative strategy is the best that can be done for the development of the power strategy is the PPAH shinta peluan (aggressive), where implementation may be done in developing the Agency's biological products in Pamekasan Galis is maximizing the use of facilities and human resources to improve and expand the number and type of products to increase production of Biological Agens PPAH Shinta.
