Abstract

The Toya Kumkuman (Ukupan) Radhika household industry, producing sacred water used in Balinese Hindu rituals, faces several challenges in its production and marketing. Despite positive market reception, the products were hindered by weak packaging quality, leakage due to manual sealing, and the absence of a clear brand identity. The lack of labels not only complicated consumer recognition but also prevented the inclusion of important information such as production and expiration dates, reducing competitiveness in the market. To address these issues, the community engagement team from ITB STIKOM Bali implemented a series of structured interventions. The activities included socialization with partners, mentoring on improved packaging design, the creation of product logos and labels reflecting the business philosophy, and the provision of production equipment such as a cup sealer and thermal printer. These implementations were complemented by workshops and training to ensure sustainable application. The outcomes demonstrated significant improvements: the new cup-sealed packaging reduced leakage and extended product shelf life, while the professionally designed logo and label strengthened product identity and consumer trust. Furthermore, the use of appropriate equipment enhanced efficiency in production and branding capacity. Overall, the program successfully empowered the partner by elevating product quality, improving market competitiveness, and fostering brand awareness, thereby ensuring the sustainability of Toya Kumkuman Radhika as a home-based industry.

Abstract

The Student Creativity Program (PKM) aims to empower Family Income Improvement Enterprise (UP2K) cadres through a sharia financial literacy program to strengthen the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Problems faced by MSMEs at the village level are often related to a lack of understanding of financial management, particularly in the context of sharia finance that aligns with the religious values of the local community. Through an educational and participatory approach, this activity involves training, mentoring, and a simple application-based sharia financial recording simulation. Implementation methods include needs mapping, developing a sharia financial literacy module, training cadres of the Sajen Village UP2K, and monitoring and evaluating the impact on strengthening the fostered MSMEs. The results of the activity show a significant increase in the cadres' understanding of sharia financial concepts and practical financial recording skills. This program is expected to become a sustainable empowerment model that encourages economic independence based on sharia values at the grassroots level.

Abstract

The village of Sumbersari faced an increase in dengue fever cases, while residents still relied on chemical insecticides that were harmful to health and the environment. The lack of knowledge about the use of natural ingredients such as lemongrass and basil prompted the implementation of socialization, education, and practical training for PKK mothers. Activities included providing materials, discussions, pre-tests and post-tests, as well as hands-on practice in making natural sprays. As a result, residents' understanding increased from 75% to 95%, and their independent production skills also improved. This program has successfully empowered the community through safe, environmentally friendly, economical solutions that support healthy lifestyles and sustainable dengue fever prevention.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the needs and business processes in inventory management at the Irna Dewi Megawati midwife clinic, as well as to design an accounting information system for the inventory of goods using the FIFO (First In First Out) method. Currently, inventory management at the Clinic is carried out manually, relying on notes or receipts from goods distributors, which often leads to errors in inventory data, delays in finding goods data, and difficulties in making reports. This research uses a qualitative method. Data were collected through interviews and observations. The system was developed using the prototyping method, with the initial design created using Balsamiq. The system was created using the PHP programming language, MySQL as the database, and XAMPP as the local database server. The results of this study show that the system can provide accurate inventory data, record incoming and outgoing transactions in real-time, and support clinics in decision-making. With this solution, the inventory management process at the Irna Dewi Megawati midwife clinic becomes more efficient and easier to use by users or staff who do not have an IT background.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) was implemented to promote the realization of a green economy through the utilization of household waste as raw material for organic agriculture. The program’s partner is Jamaah Tani Muhammadiyah (JATAM), a local community group focused on sustainable farming. The activities began with training on organizational management and product management to strengthen internal capacity, followed by technical training on the use of waste-sorting equipment. The results of the program indicate an improvement in organizational capacity, particularly in task delegation, program coordination, and institutional strengthening. In addition, the organization’s output orientation became more explicit with the introduction of waste processing into economically valuable products such as compost and liquid organic fertilizer (POC). These products not only serve as inputs for organic agriculture but also carry market potential as a source of sustainable funding. Conceptually, the program integrates the principles of circular economy and sustainability, framing waste as a valuable resource. In this way, the PKM contributes on two fronts: strengthening JATAM’s institutional capacity while simultaneously creating an organic farming ecosystem that supports the green economy.

Abstract

Character education is a system of instilling character values in school members that includes components of knowledge, awareness or willingness, and actions to implement these values toward God Almighty, human beings, and the environment. The lack of awareness to embody the values of Pancasila will lead to the degradation of the nation’s character, causing citizens to deviate from the Pancasila values that form the character of the Indonesian nation. This community service aims to understand character education based on Pancasila values through exemplary conduct and habituation. This service activity is based on a literature study or library research process. It involves providing trainings to residents of the Class IIA Juvenile Correctional Institution in West Kalimantan to obey rules, norms, customs, and laws, as well as to foster a spirit of togetherness in their environment, instill democratic attitudes among fellow residents, teach social concern, and avoid apathy, thereby forming positive character traits in them. The institution is located in Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. This activity is motivated by the obligation in the Catur Darma Perguruan Tinggi, which encourages lecturers and students to be directly involved in community service. The methods used in this program include lectures, role-playing, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. Through this approach, it is hoped that the residents will understand the importance of character education and will later possess sufficient awareness and knowledge to actively participate in social and national life upon returning to their communities.
