Abstract

In this study, wajik formulation containing different percentages of glucose syrup were developed and their suitabilities as chocolate filling were studied. Then the products were studied for their qualities for two weeks using thermal cycle method. Data obtained were treated by the analysis of variance followed by Duncan New’s Multiple Range Test. The chocolates containing wajik with different percentage of glucose syrup show that there was no significant difference based on hardness, water activity, and color during storage. There were no fat bloom formed during the storage of chocolate. Result from sensory evaluation show that the chocolate containing wajik with 20% glucose syrup was more acceptable than that with 10% glucose syrup.

Abstract

Participating member of Cooperation unit of Countryside represent one of indicator in finding out the efficacy of the cooperation. High participation of member could make the cooperation running smartly and dynamic. The location of this research wasb countryside of island of jambu as mean to know participation of member to KUD mekar sari, especially in knowing benefic for the member. Paying obligatory, principle and voluntary deposits., and participate member in effort activity owned by cooperation. Method used in this research was case study method. Case in this research is KUD Mekar Sari. Respondens in this were chief, manager, body of counselor and founder, manager KUD, body of supervisor and member of KUD consisted of farmer, merchant, officer and also the labour. Participating member of cooperation was calculated by using test classification. Then the values were obtained that classified into three groups; those are good, enough, and less participations. Good enough, and less criteria of value were determinate by using the value ranging from 70-100, 51-69 and ≥ 50, respectively.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out concentration of coconut oil which induce growth and development of bud pineapple’s crown. The treatments of this experience consisted of several concentration of coconut oil, such as: K0= without coconut oil, K1= 25% of coconut oil, K2= 50% of coconut oil, K3= 75% of coconut oil. The result shows that treatment without giving coconut oil could accelerate the appearance of bud, producing the highest number of bud and the highest percentage of growth.

Abstract

The research objective was to assay the plant organ extract that can be used to substitute synthetic gibberellins acid for activation of bud dorman of pineapple stem. This research was conducted by using completely randomized design with 4 treatment and 4 replication. The treatment were GA3. Kernel young maize, leave young maize and green beans germination. The result of experiment shows that the plant organ extract could be used as substitution GA3. Using the young leave of maize shows that producing time of seedling was faster, the seedling was 107,55% higher and 97,74% more weight than GA3 treatment.

Abstract

The experiment purpose was to evaluate the effect of Trichoderma spp. Substitution during composition process on the quality of resulted compos. Compos made from organic debris as the main component and fresh cow dung decomposer was used as the compos mass for the decomposition process. Pellets of three species of Trichoderm i.e T.Koningii (T1), T.reesei (T13) dan T.harzianum (T27) were substituted into the compos at 10th, 20th, 30th days during the decomposition of organic debris by containerizing the treated composes in nylon gauze container and inoculated into the compos mass. At the 70th day the compos were harvest and used as the component of medium to germinate pine seeds. The result show that application of T.koningii increased decomposition base on compos weight by 35,15%, which was lower than control treatment. Application of Trichoderma spp. At 10th day increased the quality of resulted compos compared to those at day 20 and day 30 by 31,09% and 62,18% respectively. Application of T.reesei at day 10 lowered the C-N ratio at the amount of 56,6%. T.koningii showed its biological control potiental at day 10 of application indicated by 60% increased of survival percentage.

Abstract

The research on prospect of increasing of lowland vegetables in Pelalawan District was conducted from Mei to November 2005. The research was aimed to get data and informations on the type of vegetable at lowland with high production and had good marketing prospect. Primary data were obtainedby survey methodwith selected 30 farmer and 20 collected traders using simple random sampling. Result of research show that yard longbean and cucumber had high productions, but kangkong has high procentace sale, while spinach and chines cabbage got high procentace profit.

Abstract

The research objective was to evaluate the effect of leguminosa biomass and NPK fertilizer with various doses on the growth of cocoa plant. Research was conducted in the experimental Garden of Riau University, Pekanbaru starting on April 2005 until December 2005. The sampling that had been applied Complete Random Sampling (RAL) factorial. First factor was Biomass which consist of Bengkuang biomass 40 g/polybag (B1) and Biomass sentro 40 g/polybag (B2). Second factor was pearl NPK fertilizer with doses of 15:15:15; those factor were P0: 0 g/polybag, P1: 2 g/polybag, P3: 4 g/polybag, P4: 6 g/polybag. Parameter observed were the characteristic of soil chemistry and biology, seed tall, seed diameter and dry weight. Result of observation show that bengkuang cultivation and sentro could repair the characteristic of soil chemistry. Interaction did not have a significant effect on crop tall, seed diameter and seed dry weight. Combination treatment of bengkuang biomass and sentro and also NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on seed tall crop diameter and seed dry weight, but did not have a significant effect on leaf number. Best treatment combination was bengkuang biomass and NPK pearl manure (B1) with 4 g/polybag dose (P2).

Abstract

The objective of this research was to observe the effect of interaction between plant catalyst 2006 fertilizer and gibberellins on the growth and yield of tomato. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which was arranged in factorial with two factors and three replications. The first factor was concentration of plant catalyst 2006 fertilizer (P) which consisted of P0 (0 g/l), P1 (1,0 g/l), P2 (I,5 g/l), P3 (2,0 g/l), and P4 (2,5 g/l). The second factor was Gibberellin (G) which consisted of G0 (0 ppm), G1 (50 ppm), G2 (75 ppm), G3 (100 ppm), and G4 (125 ppm). Parameters observed were plant height, total flower, harvesting time and fruit weight. The result of this research shows that interaction between plant catalyst 2006 fertilizer (2,0 g/l) and gibberellins (50 ppm) exhibited the best effect on harvesting-time of tomato production.
