Abstract

Community Service Program was implemented based on problems faced by elementary school teachers in Pekanbaru, including: 1) lack of motivation, knowledge and skills possessed by community and elementary school teachers to improve their creativity and innovation in knitting; 2) lack of community knowledge and creativity to increase economic growth; and 3) lack of guidance from related parties to community and elementary school teachers regarding motivation, creativity, and communication skills. Based on some problems identified, a problem resolved in this activity was: giving assistance in making bags through knitting skills for elementary school teachers in Pekanbaru, Riau. Furthermore, there was also guidance on becoming an MC and other official activities to help participants to be individuals who had confidence and good motivation. The community service activity carried out was Participatory Action Research (PAR) which was conducted using a descriptive approach method. Importantly, population in this study were teachers in Riau Province, especially elementary school teachers in Pekanbaru. Sample of service was chosen by purposive sampling, obtaining elementary school teachers in Pekanbaru. Results of activity could be declared successful in overcoming the problem. It was shown by teachers who strongly agreed with the existence of community service activity as an effort to develop competence, particularly in terms of community economic development through knitting and communication skills for teachers in Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The Community Service Program is carried out based on the problems faced by pineapple MSMEs, namely: 1) lack of knowledge and skills of the community regarding the diversification of pineapple processing; 2) pineapple waste has not been utilized optimally; 3) market access to promote products is still very limited; and 4) unavailability of communication media such as marketing programs for marketing pineapple processed products. From several identified problems, it was formulated that the problem to be resolved in this activity was the MSME Empowerment Program through diversification of processed pineapple products. This community service activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR) carried out using a descriptive approach method. In this service the target is farmers and 12 active UKM in Kualu Nenas Village. The results of the dedication show that the farmers strongly agree with the existence of community service activities as an effort to develop the economy, especially in the development of the community's economy through diversification of processed pineapple products.

Abstract

A teacher is a key component in the educational system. The technology is developing every time. If a teacher does not keep up with the current development, the teacher will be left behind and the learning process will certainly be abstract. Therefore, the community service team conducts a workshop in improving the teacher’s competence in Islamic school especially in developing the ICT-based teaching material. A media or the teaching material also becomes an important component in facilitating the success of the significant and effective teaching and learning process for students. This community service was conducted in a private Islamic school that was Madrasah Tsanawiyah Sabilal Al Muhtadin. It was done by assisting them in the form of a workshop. From the workshop that has been conducted, the result of an evaluation by the participants showed that the participants were very satisfied with the community service program and they wished that many similar programs will be conducted in a hands-on way. In the implementation, the participants were also satisfied with the knowledge and the skills owned by the lecturer as the executor of the community service program. The government and the stakeholders are expected to be able to connect and cooperate with the lecturers in achieving good cooperation between school, university, and department of education. Thereby, such programs will not be wasted and the participant can get the benefits.

Abstract

This dedication is motivated by the demands of a teacher who must have the ability and skills in making simple APE IPA to increase the achievement of learning goals in schools as required in the curriculum. Therefore, this article aims to gather information about the level of participant satisfaction in participating in assisting the development of educational aids. This community service activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR) carried out using a quantitative descriptive approach method. The data obtained through distributing questionnaires online using google form which were then analyzed descriptively using the help of the SPSS version 23.00 for Windows program. The results of the analysis show that the participants have a good satisfaction level of 71.9% with the satisfactory category.

Abstract

This dedication is motivated by the lack of guidance from the government and competent people to foster communities living in housing, lack of public / unproductive knowledge in processing natural resources in their area, relatively limited business opportunities, limited knowledge of housewives in utilizing natural resources, and people feel insecure and do not have the funds to do business. Seeing these problems, this dedication aims to empower housewives through the use of HR and SDA in Bermu'amalah. In order to achieve this, the service provider uses the ABCD method which is a community development concept based on local assets found in an area. The results of the service went well and smoothly and the community, especially mothers, young women and children, were enthusiastic and felt helped to get useful knowledge.
