Abstract

Patients who will undergo surgical procedures are generally accompanied by anxiety disorders. As a result of the anxiety disorders experienced by preoperative patients, it is possible that the operation cannot be carried out because symptoms of increased blood pressure will appear. if these measures are continued it can result in difficulty stopping the bleeding. Breathing exercise is a non-pharmacological therapy for treating anxiety that can stimulate the vagus nerve to reduce the hormone cortisol, which is the hormone that causes anxiety. This study aims to determine the effect of breathing exercise on the anxiety level of preoperative patients in Dahlia room, Doris Sylvanus General Hospital, Palangka Raya. This study used a pre-experimental design, with a one group pre-test-post-test design approach, the sampling technique used was consecutive sampling, with a sample of 27 respondents and tested with Wilcoxon statistical techniques. The results of the analysis using the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained p-value, 000 <from 0.05, which means that Ha is accepted, that is, there is an effect of breathing exercise on reducing anxiety levels. It is hoped that the results of this study can be applied by health workers be able to perform breathing exercises as an anxiety therapy

Abstract

Nurses as health workers are responsible for overcoming mental health problems by working with mental health cadres. This study aims to determine the effect of mental health cadre training on the knowledge and skills of cadres in the working area of the Menteng Health Center. The research method used is quantitative research "Quasi-Experimental Pre-Post Test without Control Group. The sample in this study was 33 respondents using the purposive sampling technique. Univariate data analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate data analysis with dependent sample t-test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres before and after the Mental Health Cadre Training with a value = 0.000. The suggestions from this study are that nurses holding mental health programs and mental health cadres can work together in creating a mentally healthy society.

Abstract

The most common nutritional problem in young women is iron deficiency or anemia. One way to prevent anemia is by consuming Ambon bananas by juicing them. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of administering Fe tablets and Ambon banana juice with Fe tablets to hemoglobin levels in female students at SMPN 16 Petuk Ketimpun, Palangka Raya City. This research is a quantitative research with analytic observational method using Quasy Experiment research with a two group only-pre-post test design. The subjects of this study were 30 young women from SMP 16 Petuk Ketimpun, Palangka Raya City. The results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value <0.05, i.e. p=0.001 which can be concluded that there was an effect of giving Fe tablets on increasing hemoglobin levels. = 0.000 which can be concluded that there is a significant effect between fe tablets and Ambon banana juice in increasing hemoglobin levels of female students

Abstract

Pregnant/delivery women with severe preeclampsia or eclampsia are a serious problem because they can threaten death for both the mother and the fetus. Preeclampsia is the second leading cause of death in pregnancy in the world. In Indonesia, the cause of death ranges from 1.5% to 25%. At dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya there was an increase in the number of mothers with preeclampsia from 2018 as many as 259 to 2019 as many as 277 cases or an increase of 3.35%. Fulfillment of increased intake of balanced food plays an important role in the health of pregnant women and the fetus. This happens because of unhealthy living habits with the habit of consuming foods that are high in fat, high in salt and little protein. This study aims to determine the relationship between consumption patterns of sodium intake and the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women in the VK delivery room at RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. This type of research is analytic observational, with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, the samples in this study were pregnant women in January-March 2020. The results of the Chi-Square Test analysis obtained a value of ρ = 0.014 <α 0.05, this proves that there is an influence between the independent variables and the dependent variable with OR = 6.314. There is a relationship between consumption patterns of sodium intake and the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women in the maternity ward of RSUD Dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya.

Abstract

Mothers who breastfeed often issue problems in exclusive breastfeeding, one of the main obstacles is inefficient production of breast milk. This will be a factor in the lack of exclusive breastfeeding support for newborns. One effort that can be done to increase the speed of secretion and milk production is through the use of supplements with the support of fenugreek seeds. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of fenugreek seed supplements on the adequacy of breast milk in the working area of ​​the Pasir Putih Health Center. The design used in the Quasi experimental study was with a control group using pre test - post test design. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers in the Pasir Putih Health Center and a large sample of 11 people each.The statistical test used in this study is the Chi-Square test. Statistical test results obtained the value of P Value 0.010 with the provisions of the value of p <0.05, then the P Value <a so that it can be concluded that fenugreek seed supplements are effective against the adequacy of breast milk. Therefore, health workers can improve service to breastfeeding mothers by providing assistance in expediting milk production by taking supplements of fenugreek seeds

Abstract

At the hospital, the most contributing resources are supporting patients, one of whom is a nurse. Nurses have a big influence to determine the quality of service. The nurse is the spearhead of services to patients and their families at the Hospital, because of the frequency of meetings with patients who are most often. The purpose of this study was to prove that there is a relationship between the quality of nursing services and patient satisfaction at Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital SamarindaThis study is a quantitative study, the study design used descriptive analytical with cross sectional approach. The population is 323 people spread from 8 inpatient units. The sample of 67 people used purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire that contained indicators of the quality of nursing services related to inpatient satisfaction. The scale used is a Likert scale to assess the quality of nursing services provided and to assess patient satisfaction using the Guttman scale. The results showed that there was a relationship between the quality of nursing services and patient satisfaction (p value = 0.001). The results of this study are expected to be a source of information for students to know more about the quality of nursing services.

Abstract

The prevalence of stroke worldwide is 33 million, which is 16.9 people had stroke in 2010, causing 11.3% of deaths worldwide as second leading global cause of death under heart disease. In Central Kalimantan, prevalence of stroke based on diagnosis by health professionals is 0.53%. According to districts it ranges from 0.21% -1.58% and Palangka Raya City has a stroke prevalence of 0.85%. Stroke causes brain vascularization disorders, motor dysfunction that causes the patient limitations, thereby increasing the risk of complications. A person with movement disorders will have an impact on their daily activities. Aims of this study to determine the socio-demographic factors that affect the level of functional ability of clients in performing daily living activities (ADL) of ischemic stroke clients at dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya hospital. This study used a cross sectional study approach. This reresearch would see an overview of each variable to be studied using the Barthel index instrument and data from the socio-demographic respondents. The results showed that socio-demographic factors that significantly influence and influence the functional ability of client ADL are age and occupational variables, while other variables, namely gender, marital status and education, do not affect the ADL functional status of respondents.
