Abstract

This study aims to understand how price sensitivity and limited purchasing power of students affect their purchasing decisions, and how service quality can play a role in increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. This study is a quantitative study using a causal-comparative approach. This sampling is done using a purposive sampling technique. The researcher aims to collect data from 189 respondents with different backgrounds and characteristics. This research method uses IBM SPSS Statistics 26 software. The first hypothesis in this study is accepted because there is a positive influence between discounts on purchasing decisions. The second hypothesis can also be accepted because there is a positive influence between service quality on purchasing decisions. Price reductions in the form of discounts can increase the attractiveness of a product, make it more affordable, and motivate consumers to buy the product compared to products with normal prices. Quality service can increase customer satisfaction, which ultimately encourages consumers to make purchases. Consumers tend to prefer companies that provide a satisfying service experience because they feel appreciated and cared for. Good service quality will also increase consumer trust in the company, which is a key factor in making purchasing decisions. The limitations of this study were only conducted on students at Yogyakarta State University, so the results may not fully represent the general population of Grab Food users. Researchers examined discounts and service quality as independent variables. The data collected may only reflect conditions at a certain time. Respondents who are students may provide biased answers, especially if they feel that the questions in the questionnaire are too directed or less relevant.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine poverty across the regencies and cities on Sumatra Island in 2023 by employing the K-Means Clustering approach. Poverty represents a complicated and multi-faceted societal challenge, shaped by various elements including educational attainment, joblessness, income per capita, and spending per capita. The information utilized in this analysis is sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics, specifically the proportions of impoverished individuals, average duration of education, rates of open unemployment, income per capita, and expenditure per capita. Findings reveal the establishment of three distinct clusters based on poverty attributes: Cluster 1 exhibiting a low poverty level, Cluster 2 displaying a moderate poverty level, and Cluster 3 indicating a high poverty level. Results from the One Way Anova test indicate notable differences in poverty traits across the clusters. It is anticipated that this research will aid the government in developing more suitable and effective strategies for tackling poverty in regions grappling with significant poverty challenges.

Abstract

Agricultural development is pivotal for economic growth, food security, and poverty alleviation, particularly in developing countries. This paper explores the factors driving agricultural development, innovative practices, and strategic frameworks essential for sustainable growth. The research highlights the interconnections between technology adoption, policy frameworks, and market access, emphasizing the need for an inclusive approach that addresses the needs of smallholder farmers who constitute a significant portion of the agricultural workforce. Through a comprehensive review of current literature, case studies, and empirical data analysis, the study identifies key challenges facing the agricultural sector, such as climate change, land degradation, and access to resources. Innovations in agricultural practices, including precision farming, biotechnology, and sustainable land management, are discussed as vital components for enhancing productivity and resilience. Additionally, the role of policy interventions in promoting agricultural research and development, facilitating access to markets, and ensuring food security is critically assessed. The findings indicate that fostering collaboration among stakeholders—governments, private sectors, and local communities—is crucial for achieving sustainable agricultural development. Ultimately, this research aims to provide actionable insights and policy recommendations that promote agricultural innovation and improve the livelihoods of farmers, thereby contributing to enhanced food security and economic prosperity.

Abstract

Complaints and legal dispute resolution mechanisms between medical personnel and patients are important processes in safeguarding patients' rights while ensuring that medical personnel carry out their profession with applicable standards. Complaints are usually made by patients or families to the relevant institutions, where the process may involve mediation as an initial attempt at resolution. If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute may proceed through formal legal channels or alternative mechanisms such as arbitration. Settlements are based on evidence, medical documentation, and expert opinion to ensure fair decisions. This mechanism is designed to create transparency, accountability, and legal protection that helps build trust between patients and medical personnel and maintain the quality of healthcare services.

Abstract

This study explores the application of the Value-Based Management (VBM) approach in analyzing the financial efficiency of renewable energy projects. As the global demand for clean and sustainable energy increases, renewable energy projects play a strategic role in the energy transition but are often faced with challenges of large initial investment, technological risks, and regulatory uncertainty. The results show that the application of VBM in evaluating renewable energy projects can improve the quality of investment decision making by considering both financial and non-financial aspects holistically. VBM encourages companies to be more selective and strategic in choosing projects that are not only economically feasible, but also socially and environmentally sustainable. In addition, this approach provides a strong framework for aligning managerial objectives with shareholder interests, improving corporate governance, and strengthening transparency in the process of evaluating and reporting project performance.
