This research is conducted to find out how big is the role of foreign direct investment and domestic for economic growth in Indonesia during the period 2004 – 2013 by using static model analysis with Ordinary Least Square regression. The result of the sectoral analysis that foreign direct investment and domestic transportation sector does not influence the Indonesian economic growth . It’s because of risk in country factor, that is small domestic markets that cause lower rate of return and lack of supporting facilities such as infrastructure and transportation, skilled employees, and technology. Factor inhibiting the influx of investment also is a problem of economic instability, political, security and legal certainty.The result of the multi sector analysis that foreign direct investment and domestic for overall sectors of the economy does influence the Indonesian economic growth with using a significance level of 10%. Besides domestic savingshas very strong influence to economic growth both for sectoral and multi sector analysis.

Technology developments, particularly in the services sectors, continue to grow along with the advancing of time. The implementation of electronic data interchange system at PT Pertamina Trans Continental is so helpful for Tugboat crew Patra Tunda 3001 to communicate. Using qualitative descriptive methods and data analysis techniques with simple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, determinant coefficient analysis and hypothesis testing, it turns out that a linear regression line equation showed Y = 24.851 + 0.421 X. It means that there is an increase of one unit from each variable in the use of the system "Electronic Data Interchange" (X). It will affect the improvement of crew communication variables (Y) of 0.421 units at constant point of 24.851. The correlation coefficient analysis shows r scors = 0.619 due to the large r between 0.60 to 0.799 which means the relationship between the use of the system "Electronic Data Interchange" and the crew is strong. Determinant coefficient analysis showed the value of Kp = 38.3% which means the effect of the use of the system "Electronic Data Interchange" accounted for 38.3% of the crew communication. Hypothesis test showed that the value of t is 4.176 and the value ttabel is 1.701. Because tcount is more than ttable (4.176 > 1.701), it means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From this result, there is a significant relation between the use of the system "Electronic Data Interchange" and TB Tunda Patra 3001 crew communications.

PT. Jakarta Mega Trans (PT. JMT) is a TransJakarta bus operator and formed of four transport companies consortium which are PT. Mayasari Bakti, PT. Steady Safe, Perum PPD, and PT. BPW Pahala Kencana. This study is aimed to find out and understand the relationship between the operated buses and the carried passengers. The method of the study is Spearman Rank correlation analysis and hypothesis test. Based on the result and analysis, there is a significant relationship between the operated buses and carried passengers which is ρ = 0.7824. The hypothesis test shown that ρhitung > ρtabel (0.7824 > 0.777) which support the previous result.

PT. Dressage Logistics Indonesia is a company engaged in logistics, especially trucking. Allegedly there is a relationship between the use of Ready Truck Operations with Goods These Units Falkirk. The method of data analysis used a simple linear regression, correlation coefficient analysis, and hypothesis testing (correlation test). Results of analysis and discussion revealed that there is a relationship between the number of trucks ready for operation on the number of units of goods are shown with a simple regression line is: y = - 17705.3 + 65,15X, meaning that when the growing number of trucks ready for operation up 1 (one) units, the number of units of goods having a gain of 65.15 units of goods. The correlation coefficient r = 0.64 means that the relationship variable X (number of trucks ready for operation) and Y (number of units of goods) is strong and positive. Determinant coefficient test figures show 40.96%. Hypothesis test results tcount> t table (2.62> 0.81246), then Ho = rejected and Ha = acceptable, meaning terhadapat significant relationship between the number of trucks ready for operation and the number of units of goods.

Delay is supposedly not to be a usual thing. The researchers, using the field research and literature method and fishbone analysis, found five factors: first, the obstacles in processing wheelchair for passenger arrivals with percentage at 86.8%; second, no wheelchair for passenger from the employees with a percentage of 81.6%; third, insufficient time to process the services with a percentage of 78.9%; fourth, the inadequate number of wheelchair with a percentage of 60.5%; the last, wheelchair passengers had to wait to use the lift with a percentage of 63.16%. To overcome these, the management should add the employees number and the overtime hours, re-set the absent matches with airline flight schedule, provide employees training, increase the number of wheelchair, repair the broken wheelchair, and convey complaints from passengers using wheelchair to Angkasa Pura II to increase the number of existing lifts.

This study is aimed at finding out the effect of cargo supervision to the accident rate of KM. Madani Nusantara (Ro-ro/Passanger ship) route Balikpapan – Makassar – Pare-pare. The data analyses are regression, correlation, determinant coefficient and hypothesis test. The result showed that there is an effect of cargo supervision to the accident rate that can be proved using simple linear regression (Y = 7.45 + 0.79X). It means that each increasing point of variable X (cargo supervision) will affect variable Y (accident rate) which is 0.79 in 7.45 constants. Based on correlation analysis, r = 0.93 or +1 shows that there is a positive effect of cargo supervision to the accident rate. The determinant coefficient is 86.49 % proves that accident rate is most affected by cargo supervision while the rest (13.51 %) come from other factors such as cargo shipping documents and crew ship documents. The last result from hypothesis test is t count > t table or 36.43 > 1.701 which means there is a significant impact of cargo supervision to the accident rate of Ro-ro KM. Madani Nusantara.

Increasing competition in the airline industry sectors make each airline must implement effective and efficient strategies to determine type of aircraft which is more economical to save operating costs and ticket prices or rates that can compete with its competitors. It has been done by PT. Sriwijaya Air. Through management strategic methods and SWOT analysis, despite the increasing of crude oil prices today which affect the air transport cost, PT. Sriwijaya Air, as one of the air transportation services provider, should make initiative decision to improve yield, revenue and profit to maintain the sustainability of the company.

A growing society needs a good transportation system that supports the ongoing activities of large business community. Road transport system is a universal and integral system without boundaries. Existence of people does depend on transportation. Different countries implement various transportation systems with different traits and characteristics. The study was conducted by looking at the network of transportation system. The researchers are comparing the transportation system in United States, United Kingdom and Indonesia. The fundamental difference is the orientation of the government. In terms of the provision of public transport services, the Indonesian government is still in the primary stage oriented to provide public transportation for people to arrive at the destination, while other countries have been at the secondary stage of comfort-oriented and safety-concern. They have even been to the tertiary stage that is the luxury-attention.

PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk is a construction company that has 6 subsidiaries and 10 operating departments. In conducting its business, the company is applying sourcing materials locally and internationally. One of them is the procurement of goods imported High Damping Rubber Bearings (HDRB) that serves as the foundation of anti-earthquake building structures and cannot be produced inside the country. Using a causal diagram (fishbone diagram; Dr. Kaoru Ishikawa), it was found that the factors causing delays in goods (HDRB) is due to production machinery, human resources, time, method, and money.

This study is aimed to find out how much influence the import cargo of PT Indonesia Air Asia to the import goods irregularity. The researchers used 2 data collective methods which are field research and library research. Then, the data is analyzed using linearity regression, coefficient correlation, determinant coefficient and hypothesis test. The result showed that there is a low relation between import cargo volume and irregularity based on linearity regression; Y = 5.220 + 0.001 X. Coefficient correlation analysis r = 0.01 means that there is no correlation between X and Y. The determinant coefficient in 1 % showed that the contribution of cargo volume to the irregularity is 1 % while 99 % is the other factors. The last result is hypothesis test which showed t count < t table (0.031 < 1.812). It means that Ho is accepted and of course Ha is rejected. The conclusion of the results is that there is a low and negative relation between import cargo volume and the irregularity goods of PT Indonesia Air Asia.
