Abstract

This study aims to improve understanding of the concept of biology using chart media, models, and power points in class XI-IPA students for the 2018/2019 academic year. This research is a type of action research designed in the form of a cycle. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, self-reflection. From each cycle that has been implemented, the results obtained are: the completeness of student learning outcomes until cycle III with classical learning outcomes reaching 90%. Meanwhile, the teacher's ability to manage learning using chart media, models, and power points in each cycle has increased. This has a positive impact on student achievement, which can be shown by the increase in the average score of students in each cycle which continues to increase. In terms of teacher and student activities in learning, it can be seen from the activities of teachers that appear including activities to guide and observe students in doing power point activities / finding concepts, explaining / training using tools, giving feedback / evaluation / question and answer where the percentage for the above activities is sufficient big.

Abstract

This research is aiming to: 1) analyze the effect of PBM model, 2) analyze interaction between learning method and self-regulated learning on students’ mathematic representative ability, 3) analyze the difference between the effect of PBM method and conventional method on students’ mathematic representative ability, specifically on those who have high self-regulated learning, and 4) analyze different effects of students’ mathematic representative ability, particularly on those who have low self-regulated learning. This experiment research employed 2x2 factorial design to analyze between PBM learning method and conventional learning method, and between high self-regulated learning and low self-regulated learning on senior high school students’ (SMA) representative learning ability. The research’s population consisted on seven (7) classes with 198 students enrolled. Cluster random sampling was employed to choose sample of the study therefore two classes were chosen randomly.This research was held in SMA Negeri 03 Bombana. Research hypotheses were analyzed using two- ways ANOVA and followed by t-test. The results of this study show that: 1) There is a significant effect on students’ mathematic representative ability between students who learn with PBM method and those who learn with conventional method); 2) There is an effect on interaction between learning method and self-regulated learning on students’ mathematic representative ability ; 3) there is a significant effect on students’ mathematic representative ability between students (with low self-regulated learning) who learn with PBM method and those who study with conventional; however, 4) There is not a significant effect on the result of students’ mathematic representative ability of those with low self-regulated learning who are taught with PBL and those who are taught in conventional way shows.

Abstract

This research is motivated by reading the koran is an obligation that we must do as Muslim. However, unfortunately in this modern era and technologi Cellphones, Television, and Gadget have become an options to spend hours instead of having to spend a few minutes reading the koran. Therefore, habituation reding the koran are applied in schools is one of the activities has a positive impact on the formation of student character. The purpose of this study was`to determine the influence of habituation reading the koran on the formation of student character. The research method uses descriftive quantitative research methods, namely the research method used to exsamine thing that occur in the field, to provide a systematic and logical picture according to actual facts with certain population characteristics, and to provide and idea that this study is designed to obtain information about the deccription of the phenomenon of the vareables under study, therefore Researchers are required to go directly to the field. In this study, the validity and reliability of the instrument were tested using the pearson product moment and cronbach alpha formulas, the prerequisite analysis consisted of linearity testing, and hypothesis testing using regression correlation analysis with a significance level of 5%. By using documentation and questionnaire data collection techniques, from a sample of 83 students, the research results showed that the influence of al-Qur'an recitation habituation on the formation of student character. This is indicated by the correlation value (r) = 54.5% and from the results of the regression analysis with the t test it is obtained t count > t table or 5.843 > 1.664 (hypothesis H1 is accepted). The amount of contribution to the habituation of reading the koran recitations that can affect the character building of students is 29.7%, and the remaining 70.3% is by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of using this screen recording application is to improve the ability of physics knowledge class XII-MIPA.3 students of SMAN 2 Bangkalan 2020/2021. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. Each cycle in CAR begins with a plan, then continues with implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 34 students of class XII-MIPA.3 Sman 2 Bangkalan. Data were collected using the results of student knowledge tests, and analyzed descriptively quantitative. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of video screen record can improve the ability of students of class XII-MIPA knowledge.3 SMAN 2 Bangkalan in the learning process of physics. By providing variations of learning using video screen record and encouraging students to study groups an increase in the results of students' abilities in the first, second, and third cycle. By limiting the KKM 70, the percentage of completeness of knowledge 17.64% in the initial stages becomes 45% as a result of the first action. This result is still very far from the target of 75% completeness. So in the second action many improvements were made, including by preparing material in the form of power points and explaining them using screen record video. In addition, there is also an emphasis on optimizing the use of available learning resources, both from books and the internet. This step has a very significant influence on students 'knowledge abilities, as evidenced by completeness of students' knowledge abilities as a result of this second action increased sharply to 69%. The third action was carried out many improvements, including by simplifying the summary of material, and repeated emphasis on understanding rather complex concepts by using screen recordings, especially in the discussion of questions. This shows that there is always an increase in the percentage of completeness in the value of students 'knowledge ability to be 89% Similarly, aspects of students' knowledge ability is always increasing.

Abstract

For some English students, speaking in English can be a big problem. Sometime the students do not know how to handle it. This research tried to investigate the communications strategies used by third semester English students of Billfath University in order to deal with their speaking problem. This research used descriptive qualitative to cultivate the data. The writer used communication strategies from Tarone’taxonomy as the theory. The writer took 15 students as the sample to be investigated. The writer used interview to take the data. The goal of this research is to investigate the kinds of communication strategies used by English speaking class in third semester. From this research we can see what is the most popular strategies used by students to solve students speaking problem and also we can see what is the most rarely strategies used by the students .Hopefully the result of this research can be a basic perspective to know any kinds of communication strategies used by the students so we can give better solution to the students in order to improve their speaking skill.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student achievement by using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model. This research is included in action research which is designed into two cycles of activity. Data collection was carried out through observation and tests. From the results of data collection, the results obtained are as the problems raised in this study. From the results of the collaborator teacher's observations on group performance and activities and learning outcomes, step by step changes to a positive direction. With the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model being applied, students look excited and enthusiastic about learning PPKn. The Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model that was applied turned out to be able to arouse enthusiasm for learning.

Abstract

Ramayana is worldwide knowingly as the most famous and greatest Indian epic that spreading out among many countries throughout Asia such as Indonesia and Thailand. As those countries historically connected by the spreading out of Hindu religion through ancient trade. The aim of this study is to compare the Javanese’s Kakawin Ramayana and Thailand’s Ramakien of Rama I to figure out the creative process that happen in each country. Because that creative process somehow depicts socio-culture, geographic and thought of era when it’s written.

Abstract

One of the big problems experienced by the world of education today is the unequal distribution of teachers. In an area there is often a shortage and an excess of teachers at once. This problem should not have occurred if the local government was able to implement policies on teacher equalization optimally. In order to accelerate the distribution of teachers, the Director General of GTK, Ministry of Education and Culture will issue a Teacher Equity Index (IPG) as a measuring tool to determine the extent to which inequality in teacher distribution occurs in all regions in Indonesia. Through IPG, it will be easy to monitor the extent to which teacher distribution policies have been implemented. If the GPA of a region is getting lower, it is a sign that the region has implemented an equalization policy for teachers. However, if the IPG score is constant, this indicates that the region has not implemented an optimal teacher distribution policy. With the existence of IPG, it is hoped that each region will be motivated to accelerate the policy of equalization of teachers so that the data on teacher needs will be known in a more real way.

Abstract

The students need insight into balanced nutrition to avoid nutritional problems such as stunting (short body), micronutrient deficiency, especially anemia (iron deficiency) and malnutrition. The problem in this study is how nutritionally conscious behavior and student learning outcomes after obtaining balanced nutrition insight. The aim of this study is to obtain improvement in students' nutrition awareness and improved learning outcomes about nutrition and energy in food. The results of this research indicate an increase in nutritional awareness behavior after gaining insight into balanced nutrition, namely there is an increase in the number of students who have understood the importance of consuming milk everyday (71%); always breakfast (52%); have a diet with balanced nutritional value (18%); understanding of the importance of vegetables and fruit (40%); washing hands before eating (78%); brush your teeth before going to sleep (23%); exercise twice a week (20%); monitor body weight (50%).
