Abstract

Today's technological developments have a broad impact on people's lives, including religious areas. The ease of access to information does not have a positive impact on Islamic da'wah but is also used as a provocative tool, as it ensnares Ahok. The purpose of this article is to examine how social media is used to spread the news about the condition of Muslims in Indonesia. The method used in this article is descriptive analysis by reviewing and examining the information content of social media, especially the news of the Islamic community in Indonesia. The implications of this article are expected to provide a clear picture of how social media is used in the social and political movements of Muslims in Indonesia. The result is that the media has a strategic position in describing, conceptualizing and influencing a community phenomenon.

Abstract

The trend of adolescent religious behavior in the era of technological progress and interesting information to be discussed. Today's high school teenagers are spoiled by technology-based facilities. This paper aims to describe the trend of religious behavior of high school students in Central Java. With quantitative methods, samples are taken from public high school students in Purworejo, Magelang, and Banyumas. This study is limited to religious behavior that is synonymous with morals which include students morals to Allah and His Messenger, teachers and parents, themselves, friends, and morals towards the environment. The results show that the morals of high school students to teachers and parents occupy the highest position, and while morals to God and the Apostle occupy the lowest position.

Abstract

Digital Clouds is a communication medium that connects every internet user. Clouds in every variety of forms as a facilitator of individual freedom. This paper is used to express the forms of transparency that are on Facebook social media. With qualitative and qualitative sampling methods, this study examines the digital footprint of Facebook friends in the 2018 political year related to the issue of the Ministry of Religion's 200 Muballigh releases. This study found that the behavior of religious communities in the Facebook era was very central, and had a very close relationship with the development of the present socio-political context. The importance of this study is to present the forms of religious behavior that are widely spread in the social media space such as Facebook.

Abstract

Students who wear a veil got the radical stamp.  This article aims to see the body's meaning constructed by veiled students from the perspective of the sociology body. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The result shows that the body is divided into four regions. First, the meaning of the body from the constructionist perspective relating to the dimensions of weight and gender. Second, the body is understood as a cultural representation of social order and power. It relates to the social meaning of humans. The social meaning is constructed on positive and negative life activities. Third, the body is an agent and the veil is identity. Fourth, humans learn physical practices that are needed in everyday life to show social class position.

Abstract

This paper discusses the phenomenon of community religiosity in an era of post-truth that is thick with hoaxes. Post-truth is an era marked by the exclusion of truth and emotion into the motives of action. The rise of internet technology has actually enabled the public to freely convey their ideas, feelings, personal beliefs through social media. Critical discourse method is used to reveal the extent of the impact of hoax for the community while providing alternative solutions. Increasing tensions in the community, religious and community radicalism which are essential are the findings of this paper. Building a social life - diversity that has a mission in the midst of an era like this is very much needed by developing a tradition of religious communities that are aware that real public space cannot be replaced by virtual public space, seeing information based on logic, ethics, and use; examine each information critically, and be open.

Abstract

One form of Hindu-Muslim harmony that is interesting to be photographed in Bali is what happened in the village of Saren Budakeling Bebandem Karangasem. This article aims to reveal the character values in the oral tradition of the history of the village of Saren which is the foundation of harmony among religious people. The problems discussed are limited to story motif ethnographically, the value of the oral traditions character, its interconnection with character education, and the inheritance value system. By utilizing ethnographic methods that have an interest in recording, understanding, and utilizing the value of local wisdom in the oral tradition, the following results are obtained. First, the oral history of the village's history brings together kinship relationships built by characters in the story, between local Hindus and immigrant Muslims who are the ancestors of the people there. Second, there is an interconnection of this oral tradition with character values, that this story contains many character values that strengthen the foundation of brotherhood of its citizens that manifests in daily life. Third, the inheritance of this story continues to be passed on from generation to generation, both verbally and written in the ejection.
