This study uses secondary data and applies purposive sampling method, resulting in 50 companies being sampled based on certain criteria. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis, with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The research findings reveal that the variables of Profitability, Liquidity and Financial Distress significantly affect Tax Avoidance. Although the Foreign Ownership variable does not affect Tax Avoidance.

Abstract

This study explores the use of AI as a formative evaluation tool for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students' reading comprehension in the digital age. AI is a crucial technology in education that enhances teaching and learning processes. Formative assessment helps students develop their abilities and skills, while summative evaluations measure performance. AI can be used to test students' reading comprehension using smartphone apps like Novel Applications, Sports and Podcasts, and Netflix. The research aims to help teachers use AI auto-generation as a formative evaluation tool, outlining its benefits and drawbacks. It also suggests that readers should use Formative Apps to measure students' reading comprehension in the digital age to assist teachers.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA) concept in the Russian-Ukrainian War, focusing on its impact on military strategies and operational tactics. RMA involves transformative changes in military technology, doctrine, and organization, reshaping modern warfare. In this conflict, elements such as drone technology, cyber warfare, and network-based weapon systems have been pivotal. Using a descriptive analysis method, the study collected data from military reports, journal articles, and news sources to identify how RMA was applied by both sides and evaluate the influence of modern technology on the conflict's outcomes. The analysis focused on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), electronic warfare systems, and network-based defenses, which intensified the complexity and pace of operations. The findings reveal that both Russia and Ukraine adopted RMA elements, albeit with varying capabilities and effectiveness.

Abstract

The Container Security Initiative (CSI) is a pivotal program in enhancing global supply chain security, particularly in Indonesia. Introduced as a response to terrorist threats post-September 11, 2001, CSI aims to secure international container shipments through pre-screening at ports of origin. This article analyzes CSI implementation in Indonesia, its impact on supply chain security, and its role in bolstering maritime security. CSI has proven effective in mitigating smuggling risks and improving logistical efficiency. The program also fosters international cooperation in addressing transnational threats. Despite challenges such as increased operational costs, CSI contributes significantly to Indonesia's national security and economic stability. Effective CSI implementation has the potential to strengthen Indonesia's position in global trade and enhance resilience against maritime security threats.

Abstract

Rice is a staple food in Indonesia, but challenges in the country's rice markets and marketing systems persist, leading to significant losses for both producers and consumers due to volatile price fluctuations. The prices of various food products are rising sharply due to growing demand driven by population growth, which is not adequately supported by supply. This study aims to examine the vertical market integration of rice in Indonesia using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) as the analytical method. The findings reveal that the markets for harvested dry grain at the producer level and rice at the consumer level are integrated in the long term, indicating that changes in producer-level harvested dry grain prices are influenced by consumer-level rice prices. However, this integration is not observed in the short term.

Abstract

Dividends are a key element in investment strategies and are often considered an indicator of a corporate's health and stability. This study aims to develop the Dividend Trap Score (DTS), a quantitative tool for identifying potential dividend traps in stock investments. It distinguishes between Technical and Fundamental Dividend Traps, examining key indicators such as dividend yield ratio, payout ratio, debt levels, and profit trends. Using historical data, the DTS model is tested to assess its accuracy in identifying risky dividend-paying corporates. The findings show that DTS outperforms traditional metrics in evaluating dividend sustainability, offering investors deeper insights and reducing the risk of financial losses. This study contributes to more informed investment strategies by providing a systematic approach to detect dividend-related risks.

Abstract

Formulated cassava leaves in liquid soap preparations that have antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine the best liquid soap preparation formula from ethanol extract of cassava leaves (Manihot utilissima Polh) by varying stearic acid by FI 0.5%, FII 0.10%, FIII 0.15% and antibacterial tests on Staphylococcus Aureus. Cassava leaves were macerated with 70% ethanol and tested for antibacterial activity using the disc diffusion method. In the evaluation of liquid soap preparations and antibacterial tests, the evaluation results of FII were obtained as the best formula with a variation of 0.10% stearic acid with evaluation results that met the requirements. In the antibacterial test, the inhibition zone for the control (+) using ciprofloxacin was 14.635 mm (strong) and FII 15.685 mm (strong).
