Abstract

The objective of this community service project is to enhance sustainable environmental awareness among the residents of Tanjung Baru Village, Merbau Mataram District, South Lampung Regency, through the use of ecobricks. The method used involves a training approach with several stages, including initial discussions and social mapping, problem identification, outreach, practice, and evaluation. A total of 40 residents of Tanjung Baru Village participated in this ecobrick outreach program. Data was collected using pre-tests and post-tests analyzed with a Likert scale. The pre-test results showed that 38.7% of participants had sustainable environmental awareness. After participating in the outreach and hands-on practice, the post-test results showed a significant increase to 70.2%. This improvement indicates the effectiveness of the training in raising sustainable environmental awareness. The study emphasizes the need for more training on renewable energy and environmental sustainability to boost community participation and the effectiveness of future outreach programs. Developing a more structured and sustainable outreach program, along with using more advanced evaluation methods, is essential to measure the long-term impact of these interventions.

Abstract

Osteoarhritis (OA) is a chronic degenerative disease characterized by wear on the cartilage structure. In UNS hospital, knee OA is ranked as the 2nd largest cases, after low back pain. Misleading beliefs that OA is an incurable, progressive disease that is associated with specific causal factors can lead patients to cut down on physical activities and adapt to restricted lifestyle with less spontaneity, which in many cases results in a great feeling loss and isolation associated with a reduction in social relationship. There is an urgent need to mitigate this negative impact, using proper patient-education strategies to better manage the disease and improve the concordance between patients’ expectations and treatment outcomes. Overall, patient knowledge about the disease is still inadequate. The aim of this study is to increase the knowledge of patients and patients’ caregiver at UNS hospital about symptoms dan treatment of knee OA. The step of this study consisted of preparation, implementation and evaluation. Before giving education, the participants did pre-test, and after education, the participants did post-test, to know the level of participants’ knowledge about the education. There were 22 female (67%) and 11 male (33%) participants. Mean of the level of participants’ knowledge about 5,42 before giving education, and 7,31 after giving education, so there was an enhancement about 1,89. This program ran well. There was an enhancement level of patients’ and caregiver’s knowledge before and after giving education.

Abstract

Early childhood education is one of the most basic levels of education for children's growth and development. Teachers who provide education for early childhood are required to have a special level of education and competence in compiling teaching modules for learning activities. Information technology literacy supports teachers in solving administrative problems. One of the administrative things that teachers routinely do is make report cards for their students. Using Microsoft Excel software has many features and functions that can help in creating reports. Apart from that, teaching materials in learning need to be considered, including teaching modules which must be developed by teachers themselves to suit the environmental context and learning needs of their students, including teachers in Early Childhood Education (PAUD). The aim of this service is to create teaching modules for learning activities. The method used in the activity was training using lecture, question and answer and discussion methods, with a total of 156 participants which was carried out over two days. Through this activity, participants' skills and understanding increased regarding the use of Microsoft Excel software and all teachers understood more about teaching modules, preparation steps and the use of Excel in making report cards.

Abstract

This study aims to examines the critical role of social media in public outreach within the fields of education, economy, and health, emphasizing its integration with religious values. Using a systematic literature review approach, this study analyzes academic sources, reports, and case studies to explore how platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube facilitate the dissemination of faith-based content, particularly in Islamic contexts. The findings indicate that social media enhances religious education, supports Islamic economic practices (e.g., zakat distribution and halal investments), and promotes health awareness campaigns aligned with Islamic values of hygiene and wellness. However, challenges such as the digital divide in underprivileged communities, misinformation about health practices, and privacy concerns in faith-based financial transactions hinder the full potential of social media outreach. To address these issues, greater collaboration between religious institutions, government agencies, and social media platforms is necessary, particularly through digital literacy programs, content regulations, and joint awareness campaigns. Strengthening these efforts can ensure that social media serves as a powerful tool for community education, empowerment, and the promotion of religious values in modern society.

Abstract

The creative thinking ability of students in physics learning is still relatively low, especially because the strategies, methods or learning media are less varied and do not involve students actively in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of project-based learning physics e-modules on students' creative thinking abilities. This study is a pre-experimental study using a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 90 students selected using the purposive sampling technique. This project-based learning physics e-module product is effective in improving students' creative thinking abilities as seen from the results of the n-gain test to the three schools, an average n-gain of 0.71 was obtained in the high category. Based on the interpretation of the effectiveness of the n-gain value of 71% obtained, it is classified into the fairly effective category. And seen from the hypothesis test, it produces sig. less than 0.05. This study has implications for the effectiveness of students' creative thinking abilities because of the influence of project-based learning physics e-modules.
