Abstract

Kondisi ekonomi orangtua anak-anak jalanan di kota Parepare, Sulawesi Selatan membuat anak-anak tidak melanjutkan pendidikan dasar. Anak tidak sekolah disebabkan ketidakmampuan orang tua untuk membiayai pendidikan anaknya. Anak jalanan memilih untuk membantu orang tua mencari nafkah untuk kehidupan sehari-hari termasuk dalam membayar sewa kontrakan. Orang tua yang tidak bekerja membuat anak menjadi pekerja dan penghasilannya menjadi sumber pemasukan utama dalam keluarga. Pengabdian yang dilakukan untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut adalah program sociopreneur bagi orang tua anak jalanan dan rumah literasi bagi anak jalanan di kota Parepare. Kedua program ini berjalan bersinergi sebab keuntungan usaha social enterprise dapat mendanai keberlangsungan kegiatan literasi bagi anak jalanan yang putus sekolah. Program ini melibatkan 3 ibu anak jalanan dan 20 anak jalanan di Kota Parepare. Hasil yang dicapai dari program ini adalah peningkatan keterampilan bagi ibu anak jalanan dan peningkatan kemampuan literasi bagi anak jalanan di kota Parepare. Kegiatan ini merupakan pengabdian muti-tahun dan telah menghasilkan Produk Wirausaha dan Modul untuk Fasilitator Rumah Literasi bagi Anak Putus Sekolah.

Abstract

Progam Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Kelas Parepare adalah satu dari tiga program studi yang ada di Jurusan Bahasa Inggris UNM. Sebagai salah seorang dosen pengampu mata kuliah Writing bagi mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris Universitas Negeri Makassar selama beberapa tahun terakhir, saya melihat bahwa salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa agar dapat menulis artikel ilmiah dengan baik adalah kemampuan menulis bibliografi yang benar dan akurat.  Beberapa tehnik penulisan bibliografi  sebenarnya telah diajarkan kepada mereka  secara manual di perkuliahan mata kuliah Writing. Akan tetapi karena menggunakan panduan secara manual, kebanyakan dari mereka mengalami kesulitan dan tidak bisa konsisten dalam penulisannya sehingga memerlukan pelatihan dengan menggunakan software untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis bibliografi secara benar dan akurat. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan melatih mahasiswa untuk membuat perpustakaan online dan menerapkan dalam menulis referensi dan bibliografi dalam tulisan ilmiah menggunakan software EndNote yang sudah telah diakui secara internasional dan telah digunakan di negara-negara maju. Metode yang digunakan adalah diskusi dan simulasi. Kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan selama 4 minggu pada bulan September dan Oktoiber 2020.  Setelah dan selama kegiatan berlangsung telah diadakan penilaian. Penilaian keberhasilan mereka tersebut diukur melalui observation sheet dan angket. Hasil observasi menunjukkan setelah peserta mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan, hampir semua peserta menunjukkan kemampuan menggunakan EndNote Program. Kegiatan serupa masih perlu diadakan bagi mahasiswa yang lain mengingat motivasi dan minat peserta terhadap pelatihan in sangat besar.

Abstract

Training on making Corona Cookies for housewives in Batu-Batu, Marioriawa District, Soppeng Regency is a community partnership program (PKM) as a solution to the needs of housewives to provide knowledge and skills. The training participants were 10 housewives in Batu-Batu and in Lejja. The training method is carried out in the form of lectures, questions and answers and practice. This PKM program aims to: 1) understand more about knowledge and skills in making Corona Cookies, 2) practice making Corona Cookies properly, 3) increase entrepreneurial motivation with a variety of Cookies that have never existed in Batu-Batu, Marioriawa District, Soppeng Regency . After carrying out the PKM activities of the household housewives group in the making of corona cookies cakes in the pandemic COVID-19 situation, it can be concluded that as many as 10 participants have understood well how to make Corona Cookies. Furthermore, as many as 10 participants were skilled in making various Corona Cookies and were also motivated by the importance of empowering housewives through training in making Cookies in a sustainable manner

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) partner is a teacher at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pangkep, Pangke Regency. The problem is the environment of the Pangkep Tsanawiyah Madrasah School which has poor environmental drainage and lack of rainwater catchment areas. Therefore, these school teachers need to be equipped with knowledge on how to make water infiltration in a simple way, namely with the concept of Biopore Absorption Holes (LRB). The methods to be used are mentoring methods and participatory rural approach (PRA) methods. The mentoring method is carried out to increase the understanding of school teachers in dealing with environmental drainage, increasing understanding of cleanliness. The PRA method is carried out to generate a sense of belonging to partners for the products to be developed, and a sense of responsibility of partners towards the products and the environment around them. The main methods used in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) activities are lectures, discussions, questions and answers, and simulations. The results achieved are that the LRB can cope with flooding, as a disposal of organic waste, as fertilizer for plants because the organic waste stored in the LRB will turn into compost, and can be used as additional water absorption in the surrounding environment where there are more biopore holes. There are also more water catchment holes in the environment that can help absorb rainwater
