Abstract

Recently, free trade is a global phenomenon where the regions effort to make an exclusive free trade area. The Association of  South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China signed a comprehensive economic partnership agreement  on the teenth of ASEAN summit. The parties agreed  to strenghthen their coorperation in many sectors which the one of that  was agriculture sector. So Indonesian as  ASEAN member has enthusiasm to apply this agreement. Abstract

This  studies  purposed  to  analyze  climate  classification which  is used  in  Indonesia  commonly  and  the  suitability  each  climate  type  for plant's  growth.  The  climate classification  can  be  made  by  using  only  one  climate  substance  or  more. The prominent  classifications in Indonesia are Schimdt ± Ferguson  system  and  Oldeman  system.  Schmidt ± Ferguson  classification  system  appropiate  to  wooded  plant / plantation  and  forest  growth,  while  Oldeman  system  appropiate  to  seasonal  plants   like  rice  or  dry  season  crops.  The  suitable  climate  is  one  of  the  optimal  production  determined   factors. Abstract

The research explored oyster mushroom cultivation which was done by Gemah Ripah Mushroom Farm as middle-size agricultural business enterprise that located at Bumirejo Village, Kaliangkrik District, Magelang Regent, Province of Central Java.  The primary data was taken from case study of the cultivation, the secondary data was taken from Central Statistic Bureau and other related research. From the research could conclude : 1) technical aspect, cultivated area had appropriated with oyster mushroom habitat; 2) social aspect, Gemah Ripah Mushroom Farm could create employment for local community; 3) commercial aspect, oyster mushroom demand as one of high protein alternative vegetable was still increase; 4) financial aspect, counting with assume age of project was five years, getting income on the second month of first year, rate of interest was 16 % each year and reside value was zero.  Investment amount of Rp. 27,149,500 would give net B/C 1.462 with NPV Rp. 101,211,980.51 and IRR 143.797 %.  That investment would achieve payback period on 23rd month.  Operational cost each year Rp. 59,746,838.88 and cost each item Rp. 447.84.  Average income each month Rp. 8,620,000 and average product each month 1,580 kgs. SWOT analyze included : (1) Strength : the investment was enough for business development, entrepreneur skill on management was enough, production equipment was having appropriated design and function, production capacity was big enough, customer was loyal, Gemah Ripah led on white oyster mushroom market in M agelang; (2) Weakness : Gemah Ripah had not had own land yet (they still rent from land-owner), the management did not open new market actively, their research and development skill on white oyster mushroom cultivation still narrow; (3) Opportunity : the big opportunity to build new market (refer to increased demand each year, especially many distributor which agree to take trading contract), changing of consumer trend that consume more high protein vegetables; (4) Threat : increasing the amount of competitor which destroyed price market, increasing the price of fuel.Key words : oyster cultivation, SWOT analyze

Abstract

This research was done to know the  family labour  income on cattle farming  compare to farmer wage  in there and to know the rentability value compare to rate. Research was done in Juni ± Juli 2004. The method of this research  was  survey, collecting data was done by observation and direct interview. The research was done in Toroh subdistrict Grobogan Regency. Respondents were   52  farmers chose by stratified  random sampling. There were three strata, the first were the farmers who had 1-2 cattle, second had 3-4 cattle and third  had  more  than  4 cattle.   Data was analyzed with descriptive.  The results showed that the  family  labour  income was  higher than farmer  wage.  Family  labour  income in  each  stratum  were  Rp 13.790,67/man-days, Rp 15.966,29/  man-days  and 13.278,95/  man-days respectively, while the farmer  wage  in there was  Rp 12.600/  man-days. Rentability value was higher than  rate.    Rentability in each  stratum were 27.61%, 23.74%, and 24.53% respectively, while the  rate was 12.5%. The conclusion of this research was  that  the cattle  farming  in Toroh Subdistrict was prospectively.   Keywords: family labour income, rentability value

Abstract

The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of vitamine C and vitamine E supplementation in quail diet on production, and egg hatchability. Two hundred and fourty three of female quails of one month old and eighty one of male quails of two month old were devided into nine dietary treatments. Each treatments was replicated three times with nine female quails and three male quails per replication. The nine dietary treatments were there of R0 (diet with CP 21 % and ME 2600 kcal/kg), R1 (R0 +  150 mg/kg vitamine C ), R2 (R0 + 300 mg/kg vitamine C), R3 ( R0 + 25 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R4 ( R0 + 50 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R5 ( R0 +  150mg/kg vitamine C + 25 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R6 ( R0 + 150 mg/kg vitamine C + E 50 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R7 ( R0 + 300 mg/kg vitamine C + 25 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R8 ( R0 + 300 mg/kg vitamine C + 50 I.U/kg vitamine E ). All dietary treatments and drinking water were given adlibitum. The measured variables were feed consumption, eggs production,  fertility, and hatchability. The collected data were analysed using analysis of variance following a Completely Randomized Design and continued by Contrast Test if the result indicated significant differences. The result showed that vitamine C supplementation in quail diet was very significantly (P<0.01) increased feed consumption and eggs production. It showed significantly (P<0.05) increase on fertility and hatchability.Vitamine E supplementation in quail diet caused very significant (P<0.01) increase on fertility, hatchability, but it did not significantly increase feed consumption and eggs production. Combination between vitamine C and vitamine E supplementation in quail diet caused very significant (P<0.01) increase on feed  consumption, eggs production,  fertility and hatchability. Diet combination between 300 mg/kg vitamine C and 50 IU/kg vitamine E (R8) resulted the best eggs production and hatchabilityof quail.Key word : Quail, Vitamine  C, Vitamine E, Production, Hatchability

Abstract

Analysis Biota irrigate is very  importance, because Cd heavy metal characteristic which bioakumulation and biomagnification. Bandeng one of materials consume human being which indirectly with process enchain food and will remove Cd heavy metal accumulation  to higher level organism like human being. This Research is executed  by using complete random research device. As for its formation consist of 4 group by 3 treatment group that is concentration 80 ppm, 135 ppm, and 180 ppm and also 1 group as control where each by 3 restating times. Cd  accumulate  analysis conducted in Chemical Laboratory UNNES with AAS technicsly. Research  result indicate that biggest accumulation at 180 ppm CdSO4  concentration at third week, this matter because ever greater Cd heavy metal concentration in water test than Cd accumulation  in  bandeng also will be ever greater, and  also longer disclosure time hence Cd accumulation will be progressively growing larger. From research be able biggest Cd accumulation in  treatment with concentration 180 ppm at third week equal to 22.32 ppm, the value have exceeded sill maximum limit determined by FDR New Zealand and also FAO that is mentioning sill Cd maximum limit in  fish equal to 1 ppm. Cd accumulate factor of bandeng between 0,173 - 16,525. Can be concluded that Cd accumulation in bandeng bared at CdSO4 various concentration will be advance degree in a row  improvement CdSO4 concentration  in water test, and disclosure time depth. Cd Concentration factor  in  bandeng mount its rate along the duration disclosure time with CdSO4. Cd Factor Concentration in bandeng the included in low category and range from 0,173 - 16,525. Abstract

This literature research was meant to explore about 1) How many rates of    foreign investment in each sector of Indonesian project  investmen, 2) how  many investment rates on agricultural sector,  3) how  investment foreign capital could be divided in each region of Indonesia,  5) what  is relation between investment rate and  development. The article used description method, secondary data and literature study. From this research was know that rate investment from foreign capital from 2000 year until April 2004 was fluctuated and decreased.For foreign investment, the biggest was manufacturing and industrial sector, next were transportation, trade, and agriculture sector. Agriculture sector got portion of 2,72 percent from total foreign investment. If it was based on regional, the biggest was in Java island, it was 56,47 percent, the remain 43,53 percent of this was located in outer of Java island. Foreign investment constitute necessity requirement, but not sufficiency requirement for development.  It must be the others prerequisite in order to effective investment for development.
