Abstract

Rubber is one of the main commodity crops are widely cultivated by people. Rubber farming is one of source income for rubber farmers in Getas Village, Singorojo District, Kendal Regency. The aim of this study is to: 1. Determine the factors affecting farmers' income in Getas Village, Singorojo District, Kendal, 2) determine the level of revenue and income from rubber farming in in Getas Village, Singorojo District, Kendal, 3) determine the feasibility of rubber  farming in Getas Village, Singorojo District, Kendal. There are 42 total sample respondents. The method used in this study is descriptive analytical method which using purposive sampling and analysis of data with multiple linear regression. Based on the regression analysis, it was found R Square value of  0,822, which means that the income of rubber farmers affected by the land area, number of workers, farmers age, education level, age of the plant and fertilizer was 82,2%, and the remaining of 17,8 was influenced by other variables out of the research model. From the results of the regression analysis, found that the significant variables were the land area and fertilizer. Based on the t test, the land area had a value of t count, 4,686 and the fertilizer variable had a value of t count, 5,794. The t value was greater than t table, 2,438, which means that the land area variable and fertilizer were significantly affected the rubber farmers' income by 99 percent significance level. While for the variables of the number of workers, farmers age, education level and age of the plant did not significantly affect the income. The results obtained by an average of Rp 1.244.759,52 and the median income for Rp. 1.153.025,74 within one month. Based on analysis of RC ratio, it is obtained value of RC ratio of 2,5 which means farming is economically viable.  By looking at the results of the research, it is expected that the farmers are able to maximize both the use of land area and fertilizing because it showed that both variables were significantly affected to the income.   Keywords: fertilizer, income, land area, rubber.

Abstract

Sugar is one of the staple food of Indonesia's population. Coconut sugar agro-industry currently has a pretty good prospect and to increase household income. One of the coconut sugar producing areas located in the Medono Village, Kaliwiro District, Wonosobo Regency. This study aims to determine the total cost of one month of production and revenue from the business of making coconut sugar, knowing one month production revenues from the business of making coconut sugar and determine the feasibility of the business of making coconut sugar in Medono Village Kaliwiro District Wonosobo Regency. Research using descriptive analytical methods and sampling in this study with sampling purpose, it obtained receipts of Rp 803,763.50 and income of Rp 456,097.96 per month. Based on the analysis of the feasibility of the R/C obtained value of R/C of 2,3 means that the business is economically feasible to be developed. Value for one month production, unit BEP has a number of 57 kilograms and revenue BEP of Rp. 39,212.00.   Keywords: Coconut sugar, farmers, revenue

Abstract

This study aims to determine the income of farmers Ipomea reptans, knowing Ipomea reptans Farmers' Income Level and to determine the feasibility of Ipomea reptans business. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis of samples using purposive sampling method. Research results revealed that the cultivation of kale kale Mranggen Army in Waru subdistrict, Demak ranging from land preparation to harvest Ipomea reptans. Ipomea reptans can be harvested seven times in one growing season, in one growing season lasts for four months. Cultivation swamp land by farmers in Waru still traditional. During the production season swamp land an average of 4 months, the income of farmers Rp.1.984.369 with a total area of 2402.63 m2. The average cost incurred by Rp.1.318.039,06 farmers, farmers' income by Rp.666.329,94., BEP value of farmers reached a value of BEP / breakeven in 2197 belt. so agriculture Ipomea reptans is worth the effort   Keywords : Ipomea reptans, Income, Swamp Land,

Abstract

The aim of this study are to determine the effect of various percentages of water provision at field capacity (drought) to the hypothetical vigor index and germination of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L) to be the one month seedlings age at regosol ground. The treatments were the percentage of moisture content on a variety of field capacity that 100%, 75%, 50% and 25%. The results of this study are: 1) the highest hypothetical vigor index value obtained in the water giving treatment of 100% on the condition of the field capacity (100% KL), followed by vigor subsequent value in the provision of water 75%, 50% and the lowest 25% of field capacity. 2) Water stress drought affects the parameter number of leaves, seedling height, leaf area, fresh weight and dry seeds, stem diameter and root length seeds groundnut to 4 weeks seedlings. Abstract

The aims of this research to evaluate and get a description of the important properties of some genotypes of cucumber to be used as a material in further breeding programs. The study was conducted at the experimental garden Indonesian Vegetables Research Institute, Lembang, 1,250 meters above sea level from June to August 2014. The research material using five genotypes of cucumber seed germplasm collections along with seven genotypes its segregan and 6 commercial varieties. Research using randomized block design (RAK). The results showed genotype LV 2904-2, LV2276-3, LV 2276-4, LV2902-1 and commercial 1 could potentially be developed further because it has the character according to the tastes of consumers. Genotypes with high yield potential generated by LV 2904-1, LV2276-3, LV 2276-6, LV2276-7 and commercial 1.   Keywords: Cucumber, genotype, phenotypic.

Abstract

Six different long lighting will have an influence on the growth and yield quality of alfalfa seed. The objective of this research is knowing long lighting optimum which result optimum growth and yield quality of alfalfa seed.  The experiment was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with single experiment on June until December 2013 in the Green House facility that owned by Faculty of Agriculture Wahid Hasyim University in Semarang. Data observed were analyzed by analysis of variance with a completely randomized design, and followed by Duncan's multiple range test at the level of 5%. The lighting treatment on alfalfa at night were not lighting as control, 3 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours, 6 hours, and 7 hours. The result of the study showed that all treatment were tried on alfalfa crops variety of WL 625 HQ didn’t produce flowers and seed.   Keywords: Alfalfa, growth, long day plant, long  lighting, quality of alfalfa seed yield.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the activities of Clarias gariephinus fish farming, profitability and feasibility of Dumbo catfish aquaculture activities, and opportunities for the development of fish farming in the Wonosari Village Bonang District Demak Regency. The method used is a case study, the sampling method of purposive sampling as many as 20 people. Data analysis using financial analysis includes analysis of BEP and the RC ratio. The results of this study are the activities of Clarias gariephinus fish farming is done individually by technical enlargement Clarias gariephinus per 10,000 individuals per 100 m2 of required capital = Rp. 7,875,000.- harvest per cycle,the rate of profit and feasibility of aquaculture fish Clarias gariephinus per 10,000 individuals per 100 m2, with the total cost (TC) of Rp. 7,875,000.-. total receipts  (TR) of the amount of the production 750 kg per cycle of harvest by = Rp. 13,000.- per kg. The selling price is Rp. 9,750,000.-, The average income of Rp. 1,875,000.-, RC ratio Value of 1.23, and BEP(Q) of 605.76 kg, BEP (IDR) of Rp. 10,500.- per harvest cycle per 100m2 per10,000 head, the chances of developing Clarias gariephinus fish farming in the Wonosari Village Bonang District Demak Regency, can be done with the intensification and extension and developments nature by cooperating with kooparatif invenstor/banking as well as the development of managerial by establishing cooperative. The conclusion of hypothesis in accepted in view of the value RC ratio of 1.23, and BEP(Q) of 605.76 kg, BEP (IDR) of Rp. 10,500.- per harvest cycle per 100 m2 per 10,000 head, so that the cultivation of Clarias gariephinus fish deserves to be cultivated.   Keywords: Benefits, costs, Catfish farming, feasibility, income.

Abstract

Experiment was conducted to find out number of pollination activities and material of artificial pollination on Spring onion seed production. A Factorial Design Randomized Block with 5 replication was set up. The treatments consisted of two levels of number of pollination activities (two and three time per weeks) and two levels of pollination artificial material (soft brush and gun sprayer) and control. Five treatments including control were studied. Research results showed that 3 time per week number of pollination activities with gun sprayer material of artificial pollination significantly increased total yield of Spring onion seed to rainy season in highland.   Keywords: Number of pollination activities, pollination artificial, spring onion.
