The Central Statistics Agency in their report in 2020 reported that in the first quarter of 2020, Indonesian economy was only able to growth by 2.97% from the previously projected in the level of 4.6%. The failure to achieve the projection indicates that Indonesia is in danger of economic crisis. On the other hand, Indonesia turned out to be a middle to upperlevel country in terms of income. Nevertheless, Indonesia still has some homeworks especially in terms of food security and also adequate nutrition of people. To deal with this problem, this article formuate a solution to propose productive zakat instrument as an innovation to the development of laying hens cultivation to improve food security and nutrition of people in underdeveloped region.

Abstract

Indonesia is a large country with 270 million people living in the country. By that total population, Indonesia places 4th largest population in the world. Waqf is one important maliyah worship and has enermous conomic potential. Dr. Oni Sahroni (DSN-MUI Member) explained that sharia stock, if reviewed in the science of jurispridence, is permissible in Islam. However, it should also be noted that every investment always has a risk. Therefore, in this study the author will try to fully review how to utilise cash waqf in the form of sharia stock. This research uses a descriptive study method by examining various information on waqf management from various secondary sources (previous research) to produce a result and conclution of this study related to waqf management issues. In general, the model for implementing stock-based waqf is derived from profit of stock management which are then given to the waqf management institution to then be converted into waqf benefits in the form of productive assets and physical assets for society benefit. In more detail, there are two models of implementing stock waqf in Indonesia and the potency of stock waqf in this country is very large.

Abstract

The development of Islamic finance has been very rapid in the last 10 years. From many varoius products, one instrument of Islamic finance that can drives economic growth is sukuk. One type of sukuk issued by Indonesian government is State Sharia Securities (SBSN). this study uses interest rate, exchange rate, and inflation as independent variables. The results of this study reveal that the interest rate variable has no significant impact on SBSN trading through transactions in the secondary market. However, there is a change in interest rate before and after the covid era. Then the exchange rate variable also does not have significant effect on SBSN but it also has an increasing coefficient change after the pandemic happened. Then finally there is inflation that does not have a significant effect on SBSN. However, there is also a change in coefficient which was initially positive to negative after the covid 19 pandemic.
