Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of motivation, enthusiasm, and interest in students' learning in dance lessons at school. This is allegedly due to the teacher's learning style factor which is fairly monotonous and boring so that it affects learning outcomes that are less than optimal. The purpose of this study was to describe the process and results of dance learning through Ice Breaking in class VII students at SMPN 10 Bandung. The use of Ice Breaking in dance learning activities can foster a pleasant learning atmosphere for students so that they have the desire to learn dance. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Collecting research data using observation, interviews and documentation studies. The subjects of the study were seventh grade junior high school students consisting of 31 students. The results of this study indicate that the Ice Breaking game can create a fun learning atmosphere. In addition, through the Ice Breaking game, it can be seen that there is a development of student learning outcomes in dance learning through increasing student grades from each meeting, so this study concludes that the use of Ice Breaking by teachers has a positive influence and impact on the process and results of dance learning for seventh grade students at SMPN 10 Bandung. This research is expected to provide benefits for readers in general, and especially for teachers in developing the dance learning process creatively and innovatively so that the learning that takes place can be interesting and fun.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of learning independence of class XI students at SMA Negeri 10 Bandung in learning dance. One of the causes of the lack of a sense of independence in student learning is the lack of stimulus and learning media used by teachers are too monotonous, less innovative so that students become bored during the learning process in class. So that this study aims to apply macromedia flash-based dance learning videos in dance learning as a solution to the problems that occur so that students are able to utilize audio-visual technology as a learning medium to increase the learning independence of class XI students at SMA Negeri 10 Bandung. The method in this study uses quantitative research design, experimental research (quasi-experimental) with the type of method one group pre-test post-test. The instruments used are observation guidelines, questionnaires, interviews. The results of this study using pre-test and post-test can be proven that by applying macromedia flash-based dance learning videos can increase students' independent learning attitudes. The results before the action was carried out were in a less independent position and the results after the implementation of the action were in an independent position. The application of this macromedia flash-based learning video can not only improve independent attitudes in learning but can also improve learning outcomes, so it can be concluded that the application of this macromedia flash-based learning video can increase student learning independence.

Abstract

Learning motivation is an urge to move, direct, and maintain a person's behavior to act and do something when learning to achieve learning goals. The purpose of this study is to 1). Describe the process of applying audio-visual media to increase motivation to learn dance in class VII-A at SMP N 2 Simanindo, Samosir online. 2). Increasing the motivation to learn dance in class VII-A at SMP N 2 Simanindo, Samosir through online audio-visual media. This research uses classroom action research method using Kurt Lewin's action research design. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of questionnaires and interviews using qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The study was conducted on 18 students of class VII A at one of the junior high schools in Samosir. The results of the study there is an increase in student motivation to learn. This can be seen in the data obtained. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of student learning motivation was 43.19%, in the first cycle the percentage of student learning motivation was 53.44% in the aspect of student willingness and student interest in learning and in the second cycle the percentage of learning motivation was 70.00% student activity, responsibility and student achievement in understanding the material. The existence of further research that researchers want to continue is to create more varied learning with varied learning media so that the learning received by students is more interesting.

Abstract

Olang-olang dance is a traditional Malay dance Riau who comes from one of the deepest tribes, the Sakai tribe in Riau Province, precisely in Minas District, Siak Regency. As the name suggests, Olang means Eagle in the Malay dialect. Olang-olang dance used to be used by the Sakai tribe in treatment rituals, when one of the Sakai tribe members was sick, this ritual was held in addition to the existing traditional treatment. The Olang-olang dance depicts the Eagle bird that can fly high into the sky, as a symbol of an intermediary or prayer leader to God. This research describes the creation of olang-olang dance movements used for learning dance art in Junior High School. The method used is qualitative ethnochoreology which refers to the forms of ollang-olang dance movements. Olang-olang dance creations can be used for cultural art teaching materials, especially dance art. The movements in this Olang-Olang dance creation have been standardized to make it easier for students to memorize dance moves. the costume worn on the olang-olang creation is a gold and black nuanced costume that symbolizes luxury, grandeur, and courage.

Abstract

Bandrong Silat is a traditional art that was born and developed in the Bojonegara area, Serang, Banten. This research is motivated by the absence of written references regarding the basic movement structure of Bandrong Silat in Padepokan Tunas Muda. This study aims to describe the basic movement structure of Bandrong Silat in Padepokan Tunas Muda. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an ethnographic approach, because what is analyzed is facts in the field according to local culture. The object of this research is Padepokan Silat Bandrong Tunas Muda Bojonegara, Serang Regency, Banten. The data used comes from the results of observations, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of research on the basic movement structure of Bandrong Silat in Padepokan Tunas Muda, the basic movement called move 1 is divided into 3 parts of motion, namely opening motion, core move, and closing motion. The basic movement grouping includes the hands, including punches, pairs and defenses. The legs are kicks, stances, pairs and defenses. As well as body parts consisting of avoidance, pairs of attitudes, and defense.
