Abstract

Visual novel games are interactive fiction games featuring static images. Visual novel games focus on the story of one of the visual novel games that game lovers often play, namely the game The Sun Shine Over Us. This game tells about mental health among teenagers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the “The Sun Shine Over Us” game based on several criteria and the satisfaction of using the application by users. This study uses the system usability scale method to determine the level of satisfaction of this visual novel game player. The data used are players who have played and have never played a visual novel game totaling 17 people with the age category of 17-28 years. Based on the reviews from players who have played visual novel games, the results of this study can be concluded that the visual game "The Sun Shine Over Us" is interesting to play in terms of appearance, monetization and UI assessment.

Abstract

The construction industry is a development sector in Indonesia with a constantly increasing number of projects annually. In the projects, there is usually a construction manager (or 'mandor', in Indonesian) in charge of coordinating daily laborers and responsible for the construction's progress & financial report. These tasks often had problems, such as bookkeeping or managing construction workers. This research aims to develop an Android application for bookkeeping construction projects as a solution for construction managers to manage personal and non-personal resources. The development of this application uses an HCD (Human Centered Design) approach, which consists of 5 steps: user requirements gathering, problem grouping, designing, developing, and testing. The application is tested using the Blackbox and UAT (User Acceptance Test) method, gaining a 91.03% approval response. The research successfully provides an Android-based application that fulfills the needs of construction managers to work efficiently in managing personal and non-personal resources of the construction project.

Abstract

All civil engineering constructions are built on or supported by soil, making the stability and safety of the structures dependent on the soil's bearing capacity. In road pavement structures, poor-quality pavement layers can lead to reduced support for the road pavement layers. Therefore, stabilization efforts are undertaken to address this issue. The objective of this research is to investigate the influence of matos soil stabilizer mixtures with varying matos content of 0%, 1%, 2%, 4%, and 8%, combined with a cement content of 5%, and different curing times of 0, 7, and 14 days on the classification and index properties of the soil. The results indicate that the index properties of the soil improve with different curing times of the cement and matos mixtures. This can be observed through a decrease in the soil's plasticity index, an increase in bulk density, a decrease in permeability coefficient, a decrease in water content and wet unit weight of the soil with longer curing periods. Additionally, the soil classification shows a more granular nature compared to the original soil.

Abstract

Bandar Lampung City is a densely populated area with a morphology influenced by steep hilly paths. High rainfall can produce hydrometeorological hazards in the form of avalanches. This study aims to examine the material vulnerability of landslides. A combination of topographic mapping using drones and subsurface imaging through ERT geoelectric. Two subsurface profiles were analyzed through the Wenner-Schlumberger configuration with a line length of 120 m and electrode spacing of 5 m. The morphological slope of the drone data processing results is 60 degrees. The dominant subsurface profile has a resistivity of 1 Ωm to >279 Ωm with a depth of 23 m in the first line and a resistivity of 1 Ωm to >343 Ωm with a depth of 23 m in the second line as pyroclastic material. The composition of constituent materials that have not undergone compaction and slope has the possibility of a landslide hazard in the two observed profiles.

Abstract

An ergonomic mathematical model to compute Safe Weight Lift (SWL) was formed with principle of strain energy to limit risk of low back pain amid construction employees in Nigeria. However, mutual interaction effect of the selected factors were not yet studied. Therefore, analysis of mutual interaction effect of compounded chosen male distinctive factors of biomechanical of body weight, spinal shrinkage, and spine length, with physiological of age, and gender as well as psychophysical of surrounding temperature and lift frequency were done. The factors data were gotten using ZT-160 scale, tailor-tape rule, fly-back timing and RH/Temperature pen from fifty masculine manual construction workers selected using purposive sampling technique. The data were inputted into Ms Excel and SPSS for analyses using Multiple Linear Regression (MLR), Regression Curve Estimate (RCE), and ANOVA at alpha level 0.05. The MLR investigation shown that mutual interactions of the compounded factors were significant (p=0.00) and gave R2=0.94, while RCE predicted quadratic relationship with the SWL (p=0.00), and the ANOVA revealed that factors were significant (p=0.00) with F-test=404.53. The mutual interactions of the model selected factors were significant. Therefore, it can be used as a tool for decision-making for safety management of male labourers involve in manual load handling.
