Abstract

This community service program was carried out to address the low information technology literacy among students at Sekolah Dasar Negeri Sepatan 2, where access to basic computer education is limited. The objective was to introduce and build a fundamental understanding of information technology for fifth-grade students so they can use it wisely and productively. The method applied was an interactive approach through presentations, computer hardware demonstrations, and question-and-answer sessions with 89 participants. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of basic computer functions and awareness of both the positive and negative impacts of technology. Students became more enthusiastic and interested in using technology for learning, supported by positive feedback from the school. This program successfully enhanced students’ digital literacy and served as an effective initial step toward digital transformation in primary education. Abstract

The Open Journal Systems (OJS) training at Akademi Perhotelan Tunas Indonesia was conducted to enhance the capacity of journal managers in organizing scientific publications in a digital, structured, and standardized manner. The training methods included lectures, presentations, system demonstrations, hands-on training, case studies, and interactive discussions. The results showed that participants improved their understanding and practical skills in using OJS—from submission and review to editing and publication. Evaluation and feedback indicated that the training was relevant, applicable, and supported the strengthening of journal governance in vocational education settings. This training is expected to serve as the foundation for developing a professional and accredited scientific journal at the institution. Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance digital literacy and ethical awareness in digital media among teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 11 Jakarta. Using a participatory educational approach, the program was delivered through seminars and interactive training sessions focusing on key issues such as digital ethics, cybersecurity, and healthy internet usage in educational practices. Evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in teachers' understanding of responsible and intelligent internet use. Participants also demonstrateda strong commitment to applying digital citizenship values within the school environment. This initiative not only strengthened teachers’ capacity as digital literacy agents but also led to the formation of a collaborative digital community among educators. The intervention serves as a critical foundation for cultivating a healthy and productive digital culture in the education sector. Abstract

The international Community Service Program (PKM) between Pamulang University (UNPAM) and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) aims to improve students' digital literacy and artificial intelligence (AI) skills through intensive training and collaborative projects. The program addressed students' low understanding of AI concepts and limited access to technology-based training and projects. The program included interactive workshops and hands-on AI model development using Python and TensorFlow. Thirty students from UMT participated in the two-week hybrid program. Methods included observation, pre- and post-test questionnaires, and collaborative project evaluation. Results showed a significant increase in participants' AI understanding scores, from an average of 58.3 to 82.7. Furthermore, participants completed AI mini-projects and demonstrated improved programming skills and understanding of technology ethics. The program also facilitated international collaboration, strengthened academic networks, and encouraged the development of AI-based digital entrepreneurship. This UNPAM–UMT collaboration serves as a replicable model of technology-based community service to support the transformation of higher education in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

This Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat aims to enhance the efficiency and security of the information system at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi Profesi Indonesia through the implementation of a modern framework-based website. In the digital era, the need for responsive, secure, and efficient systems has become crucial to supporting academic and administrative processes. Through this activity, a website was developed using the framework, known for its strengths in efficiency and security. The implementation methodology involved several stages, including user needs analysis, system design, framework implementation, functional testing, and training for institutional staff. This approach was designed to ensure that the system developed not only meets user requirements but also safeguards institutional data from cybersecurity threats.The outcome of this activity is a website with key features such as academic data management, institutional information dissemination, and communication among stakeholders. The impact of this activity is the enhancement of the institution's technological capabilities in managing information digitally, contributing to the development of educational quality and public services. With this framework-based website, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi Profesi Indonesia can become a more competitive and adaptive institution in response to advancements in information technology.
