Journal of Applied Islamic Economics and Finance is a journal published by the Accounting Department of Politeknik Negeri Bandung, Indonesia. JAIEF (e-ISSN: 2746-6213) is published thrice a year (October, February, and June). As the name implies, this journal brings two major themes, namely Islamic Economic and Islamic Finance. Islamic economics and finance are strategic issues in the world because of their role and benefit to societies. Therefore, this issue needs more deeply extracted through research. The journal invites scholars, practitioners, and researchers to submit articles to the editorial team. The JAIEF only accepts and reviews the manuscripts that have not been published previously in any language and are not being reviewed for possible publication in other journals.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how the independent variables of Non Performing Financing, Financing to Deposit Ratio, Capital Adequacy Ratio, and Inflation impact for the Distribution of Working Capital Financing. Data analysis method is multiple regression analysis, data obtained by monthly reports from Islamic Banking Statistics which published by Indonesia Financial Service Authority (OJK) and Inflation data which published by Indonesia Bank period Jan 2014 until Dec 2018 with the total of 58 data samples. The result of this research shows that Non Performing Financing (NPF) has a significant positif linear effect on Working Capital Financing, Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) have significant negative linear effects on Working Capital Financing, while Inflasi had no effect on Working Capital Financing. Concurrently, all the variables have significant effects on Working Capital Financing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how MSME financing and Capital Adequacy affect the profits of Islamic commercial banks. This study uses a quantitative approach that analyze secondary data from statistic of Islamic Bank in Indonesia period 2016-2019. The analysis used multiple linear regression analysis methods. Data processing uses eviews program. The results of this study indicate that MSME financing has a significant positive effect on Return on Asset. Capital Adequacy Ratio has a significant positive effect on Return on Asset. MSME financing and Capital Adequacy Ratio has a simultant effect to Return on Asset. The results of this study are expected to be a material consideration for Islamic commercial banks in providing MSME financing and maintaining capital adequacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of profitability, dividend policy, inflation, and exchange rates on firm value. The population of this study is the property, real estate, and building construction sector companies listed on ISSI for the 2014-2018 period. In determining the sample data, this study used a purposive sampling method and obtained a sample of 9 companies. Research data is taken from secondary data, namely performance summary reports and reports on inflation and the US dollar exchange rate. The analytical method used to solve the problem in this research is path analysis using the WarpPLS 7.0 application. From this research, it is found that the lower profitability (ROE) and dividend policy (DPR) has a positive and significant effect on firm value (PBV), inflation has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value (PBV) and the exchange rate (US$) has a negative effect. and significant to firm value (PBV).

Abstract

Theepurpose of this researchbis to identify the levelnof efficiency of SharianCommercial Banks in thenASEAN Economic Community (AEC) era and also to identify the policies that cankbe taken by Sharia Commercial Banks to improve their efficiency byiusing the DEA methodiand VRS modelnwith an intermediation approach. Furthermore, this research uses 6 Sharia Foreign Exchange Commercial Banks as samples. This research showsjthat the averagehSharia Commercial Bank hasibeen quite efficientiin carrying out its role as an intermediary institution. Sharia Commercial Banks that experience fluctuations in their efficiency are BNIS and BRIS. Whereas other Sharia Commercial Banks have consistently achieved optimum efficiency. Policy recommendations that can be implemented by Sharia Commercial Banks, especially for Sharia Commercial Banks that havejnot yet reachedkthe optimum levelkof efficiency, to increase their level of efficiency are by controlling and allocating optimal resources and by further increasing their output capacity by maintaining existing inputs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which Islamic banks in Indonesia apply sharia principles in carrying out their operational activities, by looking at the impact of the Islamicity lPerformance lIndex lindicators, namely lProfit lSharing lRatio, lZakat lPerformance lRatio, Equitable lDistribution Ratio, Directors-Employees Welfare Ratio, Islamic Income vs Non-Islamic lIncome, land lalso lintellectual lcapital on the financial performance of Islamic Banks by using the profitability ratio as a measure of bank performance. Secondary data were obtained from financial reports published by Islamic Banks in Indonesia for the period 2010-2018. The results indicate that the Zakat Performance Ratio partially had a significant positive impact on ROA, the Equitable Distribution Ratio and intellectual capital have a partially significant negative impact on ROA, besides simultaneously the profit sharing ratio, zakat performance ratio, equitable distribution ratio, directors-employees welfare ratio, Islamic income vs non-Islamic income, and intellectual capital have a significant impact on ROA.

Abstract

This study was made to analyze the influence of both internal and external factors towards stock prices of mining sector companies listed on Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI). Internal factors that used are Return On Assets i(ROA) and Current Ratio (CR), and for the external factors are inflation and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Stock prices used in this study is stock prices of mining sector companies that consistently listed in ISSI from December 2012 to May 2019. The sample consisted of 17 companies. All of the data were obtained from the official websites of Bursa Efek Indonesia, Bank Indonesia, and the World Bank. Data Panel Regression Analysis is used in this study, using Eviews 11. This study’s results are: partially ROA has a positive and significant influence on stock prices, while partially CR, inflation, and GDP has positive and insignificant influences on stock prices. Simultaneously ROA, CR, inflation, and GDP have a positive and significant influence on stock prices.

Abstract

Program Layanan Jemput Maslahah is a service provided by BJB Syariah Bank to meet customer needs by visiting customers directly to accommodate customers' transaction needs quickly and easily. This research is an evaluation of a program issued by BJB Syariah Bank. This study aims to analyze the effect of the program layanan jemput maslahah, satisfaction and trust as a mediating variable on the intensity of the use of mudharabah savings. In this study the population consisted of customers in two Bank BJB Syariah Sub-Branch Offices spread across the Regency of Bandung. The samples used in this study were 125 customers of the Syariah BJB Bank in Bandung Regency. The data used is primary data in the form of a closed questionnaire. The data analysis method used is descriptive data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The tool used to analyze data in research is SmartPLS 2.0. The results of this study indicate that Layanan Jemput Maslahah has a positive influence on the Intensity of the Use of Mudharabah Savings and Satisfaction and Trust can positively mediate between Layanan Jemput Maslahah and the Intensity of the Use of Mudharabah Savings.

Abstract

The development and growth of Islamic banks in Indonesia is very rapid. PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia as a pioneer of Islamic banks in Indonesia is increasingly in the spotlight of various parties. The resulting performance is always an interesting thing to study further. The company's financial performance can be seen from the ratio of profitability, profitability, solvency and the activities it generates. One calculation tool for profitability is Return On Investment. If the Return On Investment in a company increases, then it shows the more efficient the company is in utilizing its assets, the greater the benefits that can be achieved by the company so that the company's value is also better and more efficient in generating profits. The calculation tool for calculating Return On Investment is a du pont system, where the du pont system focuses on the results of the calculation of net profit margins, total assets turn over and return on investment. The purpose of this study was to determine the financial performance of PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia for the period 2008-2017 with the studied variables are Net Profit Margin, Total Asset Turn Over and Return On Investment. The conclusion in this study is the net profit margin, total assets turnover and return on investment produced has a fluctuating value.

Abstract

This research is a study that compares the financial performance of Sharia Commercial Bank spin-off and acquisition. This research used BJB Syariah Bank and BNI Syariah Bank as a sample from Syariah Bank of spin-off result meanwhile Bank BRI Syariah, Bank BCA Syariah, and Bank Syariah Bukopin as sample from Sharia Public Bank of acquisition result. This research uses annual data for the period 2015-2017. Data analysis technique used is different test by using hypothesis test Independent Sample T-Test and the Mann Whitney U Test. The results of this study indicate that from the results of different tests there is no significant difference from the financial performance of the Islamic Commercial Banks resulting from spin-offs and the results of Acquisitions in financial ratios CAR, ROA, FDR, NPF, and BOPO.

Abstract

There are internal and external influences that affect the distribution of financing in sharia pawnshops and in this study there is a phenomenon that is an increase in the distribution of rahn mortgage financing followed by a decrease in income, an increase in the level of NPL, an increase in the inflation rate, and a decline in gold prices. This study aims to analyze factors that are thought to have an influence on rahn financing, namely mortgage income, NPL level, inflation rate, and gold price. This research method is a multiple linear regression method and a classic assumption test. The results of this study are not the influence of pawnshop income on the distribution of rahn pawn financing and significantly influence the level of NPL, inflation rate, and the price of gold on the distribution of mortgage financing rahn. So that in the future can be a reference consideration in the distribution of rahn financing on sharia pawnshops based on these influential factors.
