Abstract

Extreme rainfall in Indonesia has led to natural disasters in many areas including Salatiga City. Many human activities depend on the amount of rainfall that falls on the earth's surface. In the field of civil engineering, research on rainfall is very common because many activities related to civil engineering use rainfall data such as for water resource management, drainage development, dam construction and other building construction.  This study aims to determine the amount of rainfall intensity and IDF curves in Salatiga City for return periods of 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 25 years, 50 years and 100 years. The data used in this study is the maximum daily rainfall data collected from Salatiga Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The type of distribution selected in this study is the Log Pearson Type III probability distribution. The results of the analysis show that the highest rainfall intensity occurs at a short duration (5 minutes) in the 100-year return period of 106.66 mm/hour and the results of the IDF curve show that the shorter the rainfall time, the higher the rainfall intensity while the longer the rainfall time, the smaller the rainfall intensity at each return period T.

Abstract

Water hyacinth is chosen as an environmentally friendly and abundant alternative carbon source. The test material, low-carbon steel SS400, is treated with pack carburizing heat treatment using water hyacinth charcoal as the carburizing medium. This study aims to analyze the effect of the pack carburizing method using water hyacinth charcoal from Lake Limboto on the microstructure of SS400 low-carbon steel. The analysis focuses on changes in the microstructure, hardness, and carbon distribution on the material's surface. The results show that the use of water hyacinth charcoal as a carburizing medium effectively increases the carbon content in the surface layer of the material, produces a martensitic microstructure after rapid cooling, and significantly improves surface hardness.

Abstract

In the modern era, the development of software has advanced rapidly. Various features and conveniences provided enable easier access to and use of information on the internet. One of the essential mediums in this context is websites. Websites have become a primary need for delivering necessary information and building trust and comfort in various business activities.This scientific writing adopts the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method, which includes the stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. In this study, a payroll application was successfully developed to support online attendance and payroll processes. The application testing was conducted using several web browsers, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. The developed website can be accessed through http://localhost/payrol/.The test results showed that Google Chrome is the best browser due to its faster loading time compared to the others. With the operation of this website, the attendance and payroll processes in the company have become easier and more efficient for both administrators and employees. This application is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the company's operational efficiency.

Abstract

A package box is a container or place that functions to make it easier for the package courier to put the package by requiring some certain body posture movements so that the package can be placed firmly in place. Anthropometry is a set of numerical data related to the physical characteristics of the human body, size, shape and strength and the application of the data to the handling of design problems. The purpose of this study is to identify the posture of use and develop a package box design based on anthropometric data of the posture of the initial package box user when placing and picking up packages. The results of the calculation of anthropometric data based on the 5th, 50th, and 95th percentile precenttility values for the development of the package box design were obtained that the length of the Package Box (95th) was 50.5085 ≈ 51 cm, the width of the Package Box (5th) was 30.6067 ≈ 31 cm, while the height of the package box (50 years) was 136.77 ≈ 137 cm. The comparison of the dimensions of the initial package box is 50 x 50 x 70 cm, while the result of the development of the design of the package box is 51 x 31 x 137 cm. The position of opening the reference package box is carried out with the position of hunched shoulders and the position of reaching the hands down when placing and picking up the package, while the position of the user of the developed package box when placing the package and the position of reaching the forward hand when placing and picking up the package with an upright posture

Abstract

This study aims to determine how to create a service system for Cikarang Utama Residence residents. The process of delivering information about RT.052 environmental activities, information related to the RT management team, and services such as delivering criticism, suggestions and complaints are still carried out in a limited manner. Thus, a service information system was created that aims to serve the needs of Cikarang Utama Residence RT.052 residents. The research method used in creating this website is the SDLC method or (System Development Life Cycle), and programming languages to develop the system using HTML, PHP and MySQL as the database. The trial conducted using the blackbox method to ensure that the system can operate as expected, and to conduct browser comparison testing. In addition, a trial of the User Acceptance Test (UAT) method was carried out using a questionnaire. The hosting address of the citizen service system website created is https://pelayanan-warga.kesug.com/.
