Abstract

Music is the art of combining vocal or instrumental sounds or tones in varying melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. Music can come from any instruments, even there are many musician use household furniture to create a music. Nowadays, the development of music industry is much influenced by technology. One new genre music that emerge because of technology development is EDM. EDM is stand for Electronic Dance Music. EDM is a broad range of percussive electronic music genres produced largely for nightclubs, raves and festival. A lot of software, applications and tools were created to compose the sound to create EDM. Although these software are easy to install but most of these software are difficult to use and take time to learn it. What people need in this era are simplicity, portability, user friendly and easy to use.

Abstract

Short Message Service (SMS) has limitation in the length of its text message, which only provides 160 characters per SMS. It means that if we send more than 160 characters, it will be considered as sending more than one SMS, so that we have to spend more cost for sending SMS. On the other side, the Arithmetic Coding algorithm provides an effective mechanism for text compression. It has performed the great compression result and in many case it was considered as the better compression algorithm than other ones, such as Huffman and LZW (Lempel-Ziv-Welch). This research will implement the Arithmetic Coding algorithm to develop an application that will compress the SMS text message. The concept of Arithmetic Coding will be implemented to compress the SMS text message before it is sent from the sender to the receiver. The application is called CheaperZipper (CZ). This application will handle the sending and receiving SMS in the hand phone by preceding the compression and decompression process.

Abstract

Many student do class reservation for their own problem in the class either the lecturer or the student itself that do the reservation. In president university class reservation become one of the important system that exist in the university organization system to service of unanticipated extra schedule for the sake of class session. No wonder in one day so many student do the class reservation but wasting time because of complicated process of the reservation and also manual process that annoying especially for student. The university have computerized system for everything process in the university but not this simple one yet important.  Many student always wasting time for only booking one class room that disturbing their activity because of the manual paper administration. The academic still use paper and find manually when they want to search empty room or checking room of some lecturer, because of this there happen so many times of miss information and communication that caused by negligance of the staff. We cannot hope them to do everything perfect because human can do some wrong too because of imperfectness that is why we need another solution for this to solve the problem.

Abstract

Accreditation is very complex and delicate procedure. It has to be done carefully, mistake can lead poor accreditation result. The common mistake is human error. Handling a lot questions, the result will be less accurate. Having wrong accreditation result can give bad result to the university who may actually get good accreditation result. Accreditation application let user to modify input and assessment anytime he wants. If user includes incorrect input, he can edit it by going back to input form and if user misjudged in assessing, he can go back to assessment and fix it. So, before getting accreditation result, user simply can check the assessment point of each aspect. Thus, this feature is necessary in assisting user to complete a particular accreditation project in a more effective manner.

Abstract

Suara merupakan alat komunikasi paling mendasar bagi manusia. Saat ini, suara tidak hanya digunakan untuk komunikasi antar manusia tetapi juga digunakan untuk berkomunikasi dengan perangkat-perangkat teknologi, oleh sebab itu topik pengenalan suara  semakin berkembang. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk menyederhanakan pengenal ucapan yang bertujuan untuk mengenali pengaruh konsonan terhadap vokal dengan memanfaatkan informasi disekitar ucapan konsonan dan vokal  tersebut. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam membangun sistem pengenalan suara ini berdasarkan konsonan yang telah di pengaruhi oleh vokal dengan menggunakan MFCC (Mel-frequency cepstrum coefficients) dan SVM (Support Vektor Machine) algoritma. Hal yang dilakukan untuk mengenali konsonan dengan cara merekam suara vokal terlebih dahulu dan setelah itu merekam konsonan dari beberapa orang dan hasil rekamannya dicatat dan dilatih mengetahui seberapa besar konsonan terhadap vokal dapat dikenali.

Abstract

Nowadays in the digital era, people could easily access and stored a wide range of information through the Internet into documents. With the huge number of unstructured documents with various type of information in digital storage, people need an application that could help them organize and classify the documents automatically. Documents Clustering using K-Means Algorithm is a desktop-based documents clustering application which implement K-Means Algorithm to provides clustering output based on the documents content similarity up to 85% accuracy based on the user expectation.
