Abstract

COVID-19 is one of the newly discovered diseases, so prevention methods are still limited. There are various ways that the government has taken to deal with COVID-19 in Indonesia, including urging its citizens to stay at home, promoting wearing masks and washing hands when doing activities outside the home, closing all access that can lead to crowds, changing the education system, employment, etc. as well as online learning, and the last is a vaccination program to reduce the symptoms of COVID-19 if infected. The vaccination is expected to reduce morbidity and mortality from COVID-19, achieve herd immunity to prevent transmission and protect public health. Seeing from the description that has been described above, the researchers are interested in conducting research related to the relationship between symptoms of COVID-19 disease and vaccination status in centrally isolated patients at the Gayaman Public Health Center, Mojokerto Regency. This research is an analytic observational study using a cross sectional research design. The data analysis used in this research is Chi-Square. From the results of the Chi Square test and the contingency coefficient, a p-value of 0.342 (> 0.05) is obtained, so it can be interpreted that there is no relationship between symptoms of Covid-19 disease and vaccination status in centralized isolated patients at the Gayaman Health Center.

Abstract

Patients who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 with comorbid or congenital diseases are a vulnerable group because they have a higher risk of mortality compared to others. The Head of the East Java Health Office explained that basedon the analysis in East Java Province, 95% of positive COVID-19 patients died due to comorbid diseases. The purpose ofthis study was to determine whether there was a relationship between comorbid risk factors and the mortality rate of Covid-19 patients at the Manduro Health Center, Mojokerto Regency in January-June 2021. This study was an observational study with a crosssectional approach. The population of this study was 135 people with a sample size was 97 people were taken by simple random sampling. The independent variable is a comorbid disease while the dependent variable is the death rate of Covid-19 patients. The results showed that there was a relationship between comorbid risk factors and the mortality rate of Covid-19 patients with a sig value of 0.000 (<0.05), the coefficient test value was C = 0.502. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that comorbid diseases increase the mortality risk of Covid-19 patients at the Manduro Health Center, Mojokerto Regency.

Abstract

Mojokerto Regency is one of the districts with a high number of pregnant women who experience chronic energy deficiency (KEK) and continues to increase every year. Chronic energy deficiency is a nutritional problem due to lack of food consumption and energy sources containing micronutrients. Though the intake of quality nutrition in sufficient quantities is needed for the health of pregnant women and the fetus in the womb. Therefore, this study aims to analyze whether there is a relationship between nutritional intake and the incidence of KEK in pregnant women at the Gedeg Mojokerto Health Center. Where the independent variable in this study is nutritional intake in pregnant women and the dependent variable is KEK in pregnancy. The design in this study was a cross sectional survey and the population was all pregnant women in the working area of Gedeg Mojokerto Health Center with a total sample of 75 respondents. The data from this study were processed using the Chi-square statistical test which was then followed by the Odds Ratio test. And from the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between nutritional intake of pregnant women and the incidence of KEK (Chronic Energy Deficiency) in the Puskesmas Gedeg Mojokerto, this was evidenced by the acquisition of a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05) which was further emphasized. with the results of the Odds Ratio (OR) which obtained a value of25.227 (> 1), where pregnant women with poor nutritional intake had a 25.227 times greater risk of experiencing KEK (Chronic Energy Deficiency) than pregnant women with good nutritional intake.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by lack of nutritional intake for a long time, resulting in growth disorders in children, namely the child's height is lower or shorter (short) than the standard age. Based on the results of basic health research (Riskesdas) in 2018, the percentage of stunting in children under five decreased by 30.8% with a percentage of 19.3% of short children and 11.5% of very short children. In East Java alone, the percentage of stunting is around 32%. Meanwhile, in Mojokerto alone, the stunting rate reachedaround 30.5%. Therefore, this study aims to analyze whether there is a relationship between children's nutritional intake and the incidence of stunting at the Puskesmas Gedeg. Where the independent variable in this study is the nutritional intake of children and the dependent variable is the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The design in this study was case control and the population was all children aged 3-5 years in the working area of the Puskesmas Gedeg, Gedeg District, Mojokerto Regency with a totalsample of 90 children under five. The data from this study were processed using the Chi-square statistical test which was then followed by the Odds Ratio test. And from the results of the study, it was found that there was a relationship between risk factors for nutritional intake of children aged 3-5 years and the incidence of stunting at the Puskesmas Gedeg, Gedeg District, Mojokerto Regency.

Abstract

Cataracts are the world’s second leading cause of blindness, trailing only uncorrected refractive errors. Based on the 2014-2016 RAAB survey, the blindness prevalence in 15 Indonesian provinces ranged from 1.4% in West Sumatra and 4.4% in East Java. A cataract is a clouding of the intraocular crystalline lens, in which this cloudiness can lead to a decreased vision function, and even it may trigger the emergence of blindness. The blindness caused by cataracts is preventable. This research aims to identify and collect data on the frequency of cataract patient profiles at the Eye Polyclinic of PKU Muhammadiyah Rogojampi Hospital in 2021. The research method utilized in this study was a retrospective descriptive study by applying a cross-sectional approach. The research data were attained from the secondary data, particularly in medical record examinations at PKU Muhammadiyah Rogojampi Hospital. This study was conducted from June to October 2021. The population of this research consisted of all cataract patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Rogojampi Hospital, in which the sample comprised 41 respondents. The data analysis using univariate analysis was denoted in the frequency distribution table. The results demonstrated that out of 41 respondents, 19 patients (46%) were about 60-69 years old, 26 patients (63%) were males, and 12 patients (29%) worked as farmers.
