Abstract

This study discusses how virtual tours can be an alternative to traveling online during the covid 19 pandemic. By using a qualitative descriptive method, the author wants to describe how many tourism actors use virtual tours as tourism products that promise to be sold during the covid 19 pandemic. By presenting pictures and videos along with digital tour guides, they are able to make tourists feel curious so that they are interested in buying these products and enjoying them only with laptops, computers (PCs), smart wires and internet networks and can be accessed anywhere. The author's observations from 158 travel agencies in Yogyakarta that are members of ASITA are only about 10% or 15 travel agencies that sell tourism products/tour packages virtually, while tour guides who are members of the DIY Indonesian Guides Association (HPI) are only around 5% or 25. only people involved in virtual tour activities. The lack of tourism actors who carry out virtual tour activities is due to the lack of availability of virtual tour supporting equipment, inadequate human resources, difficulties in marketing tourism products/tour packages, and there are still many consumers who want to buy tourism products/tour packages directly.Keywords: Virtual Tour, Tour Actors, Tour Packages

Abstract

Catering is knowledge in the culinary field (the art of cooking food) which covers the scope of food, from preparation to serving the food itself, both traditional and international. The role of the instructor is very important to improve and adjust the absorption of students. Instructors can be creative in the form of activities that are appropriate and sourced from the social and natural environment. This study aims to determine how the application of the food plating method to increase student motivation in serving Indonesian cuisine. The form of research is descriptive method with qualitative analysis. From the application of the Food Plating method that is taught there are several obstacles faced, namely (1) Students can serve Indonesian cuisine with an attractive presentation and international class and (2) Students are more motivated in serving a dish with high artistic value. It was concluded that the application of the Food Plating Method could increase students' motivation in serving a dish. In addition, students of LKP Duta Persada must have a high artistic spirit.Keywords: Food Plating, Student Motivation, Indonesian Cuisine

Abstract

Majene Regency offers diverse tourism potential. One of them is gastronomic tourism which provides opportunities for resource utilization with a culinary orientation from a blend of eating culture and community life. Processed Japanese food, tuing-tuing fish and the smell of peapi which are used as culinary icons and become a tourist attraction in Majene Regency, precisely in Somba, Sendana District are able to provide opportunities as well as answer challenges during the pandemic. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with techniques for collecting observational data, library research, interviewing and documentation. The results of the study found that the suitability of the concept was not maximized, the stakeholders were not yet active and the product development strategy had not been carried out.Keywords: Gastronomic Tourism, Opportunities, Challenges, Development

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact not only on health but also the economic sector and tourism sector in the world. The New Normal Era is an action or behavior carried out by the community to implement a new lifestyle that is different from the previous one which was applied in all sectors, especially tourism. The purpose of this study is to formulate a management strategy for Parangtritis Beach during the new habit and analyze the internal and external environment as a basis for consideration and evaluation for Parangtritis Beach managers. TThe results of this study are in the form of strategies that must be carried out by managers and related agencies in the management of Parangtritis Beach: optimizing the promotion of Parangtritis Beach for the New Customs Period, maintaining the stability of the number of tourists by considering health protocols, making events by complying with and considering health protocols, namely providing health posts, limiting the number of visitors, conducting routine monitoring, wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands with soap, using hand sanitizer, bathing after traveling, cleaning goods with disinfectant liquid, making appeals to the community, of course as members of tourism to fulfill health protocols to prevent the spread of covid-19.Keywords: Covid-19 Pandemic; Parangtritis Beach; New Normal Era; Management Strategy

Abstract

Curup Maung is a waterfall located in Padang Muara Dua, Gumay Ulu, Lahat Regency which is divided by cliff walls and green grasses, this is what makes it look stunningly beautiful and different from most waterfalls. Qualitative research is a new method in which the research process is more concerned with the interpretation of the potential possessed by Curup Maung. The analysis used is the SWOT analysis. Based on the results of research efforts that can be done to develop Curup Maung is optimizing the work system, it takes a tour guide, forming a strong organization and regulation.Keywords: Curup Maung, waterfall, development

Abstract

Tourism development in a region brought benefits to community either economically, social, and culture. Palangka Raya has various tourism objects. One of them is Taman Kuliner Tunggal Sangomang, but since the COVID-19 pandemic that swept across much of the world affected different sectors including the culinary sector. It needs correct strategy to pull tourists interest to visit especially in a state of COVID-19 pandemic. This research is descriptive qualitative which review Taman Kuliner Tunggal Sangomang tourism potential development strategy based on internal and external factors. Population in this research are visitors at Taman Kuliner Tunggal Sangomang by using SWOT analysis. Research shows that by reviewing internal and external factors,will get a development strategy which can be applied to Taman Kuliner Tunggal Sangomang in a state of COVID-19 pandemic.Keywords: Development Strategy, COVID-19 Pandemic, SWOT Analysis
