Sastra, mencakup kajian mengenai puisi, prosa fiksi, drama, dan film dengan pendekatan struktural, stilistika, semiotika, sosiologi sastra, psikologi sastra, psikoanalis, ekologi sastra, dekonstruksi, filologi, fenomenologi, marxisme, pascakolonial, feminisme, resepsi sastra, antropologi sastra, dan kajian sastra lainnya. Sastra Terapan, mencakup kajian mengenai pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa fiksi, pembelajaran drama, dan kajian sastra terapan lainnya.

<![CDATA[Speech delay in early childhood is increasingly common in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence speech delay, with an emphasis on external factors such as excessive use of gadgets. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews with five parents who have children aged 1-6 years with symptoms of speech delay in the Jakarta and Depok areas, as well as literature studies. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis through the process of open coding, categorization, and identification of main themes. The results showed that the most dominant external factors were lack of verbal interaction in the family and excessive use of gadgets. Meanwhile, internal factors such as gender and history of premature birth also contributed. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of parents, teachers and health workers in providing verbal stimulation and detecting speech delay early to support children's optimal language development.]]>

<![CDATA[This article explores the intricate relationship between literature and culture through the lens of the Tedak Siten tradition, as depicted in the novel Hello by Tere Liye. Literature, as a mirror of societal life, reflects the values, traditions, and identities that shape communities, particularly in culturally diverse Indonesia. Using a non-interactive qualitative approach, this study analyzes cultural elements presented in the novel, such as rituals, traditional foods, and ceremonial tools. The Tedak Siten ritual is not merely a ceremonial event, but a profound cultural symbol representing communal hope and the social recognition of a child's growth. Furthermore, the use of traditional foods like tumpeng and culturally specific instruments reinforces collective identity. This study highlights the vital role of literature in preserving and promoting cultural heritage amid rapid modernization. It emphasizes how literary works can foster awareness, appreciation, and intergenerational transmission of local traditions. By examining Tere Liye’s narrative, this research contributes to cultural preservation efforts and underscores the importance of integrating cultural education into contemporary literary discourse.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the existence of hyponyms and hypernyms found in digital news articles from CNN. A hyponym is a word that has a specific or detailed meaning within a particular category, while a hypernym is a word with a general meaning that encompasses several hyponyms. This research aims to analyze the use of hyponym and hypernym meanings in CNN digital news articles from the October 2024 edition, specifically in the lifestyle category, focusing on the health and food sections. This qualitative research employs content analysis methods on selected news articles. Data collection was carried out using observation and note-taking techniques, while data validity was ensured through theoretical triangulation. The results indicate that there are 26 forms of hyponym and hypernym usage in the lifestyle news category, particularly in the health and food sections. An example of a hyponym is found in data excerpt number 25: “Besides purple, there are also eggplants that are green, yellow, and even white,” where the words ‘green,’ ‘yellow,’ and ‘white’ function as hyponyms. Meanwhile, an example of a hypernym is found in data excerpt number 26: “These events feature cultural activities and performances, arts, and cultural activists from the majority populations of Saudi Arabia, as well as representatives from India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan, and Jordan.” The word ‘countries’ is a hypernym encompassing these various nations. From these findings, it can be discussed that the use of hyponyms and hypernyms in digital news articles plays an important role in providing clarity and specificity of meaning within the context of lifestyle news, particularly in the health and food sections.]]>

<![CDATA[Malay poetry (syair) is a cultural heritage rich in aesthetic, moral, and social values. However, interest among younger generations in syair has declined due to the dominance of popular culture and the lack of interactive learning methods. At Arsya Ganeeta Indonesia Palm Oil Vocational School, students were found to have low levels of understanding, reading skills, and confidence in performing syair. To address these issues, a practice-based poetry reading training was conducted using an experiential learning approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and pre- and post-training questionnaires involving 28 students. The results showed significant improvements: understanding of syair increased from 11% to 86%, accurate pronunciation improved from 14% to 57%, appropriate use of tone and intonation rose from 11% to 50%, and students’ confidence in reading aloud grew from 11% to 54%. Additionally, 90% of participants expressed that the training was beneficial and hoped it would be continued. This training proved effective as an applicable culture-based learning model and can be integrated into local content curriculum or extracurricular activities to preserve Malay literary heritage among vocational school students.]]>

<![CDATA[Literary works are a reflection of life, and the psychology of society and personality are closely related. The purpose of this study is to characterize and examine the id, ego, and superego of the main character, which form the personality structure. The descriptive qualitative method used in this study produces data in the form of words and sentences that can be defined structurally using the theory of literary psychology. The data source used is the Novel Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis. The theory used in this study is Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The techniques used in collecting this data are library research and hermeneutics, namely, the process of reading, documenting, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the Id appeared in Suhita's drive to be loved and recognized emotionally by her husband, in the character Suhita often kept it to herself without doing anything, harboring sadness and disappointment towards her husband's treatment. The ego emerged when Suhita managed her inner conflict by adjusting her desires to the reality of the household. The Ego aspect in the character Suhita is described when Suhita has dared to express her feelings of disappointment towards her husband and dared to leave her husband. The superego is seen from Suhita's decision to stay in marriage for the sake of moral values, family, and religion. This study shows that the id, ego, and superego shape Suhita's personality, which reflects the inner conflict between personal desires, social reality, and moral values.]]>

<![CDATA[The development of science and technology demands good public speaking skills for everyone, including junior high school students. However, many students face obstacles such as nervousness, anxiety, and a lack of self-confidence when speaking in public. This community service activity aimed to provide public speaking training to improve students' speaking skills at SMPN 8 Tambang. The activity was held on December 14, 2024, involving 30 participants, through the delivery of material on basic concepts, vocal, visual, and verbal techniques, as well as public speaking practice sessions. The results showed that prior to the training, only 16.67% of students dared to speak in public. After the training, there was a significant increase in students' confidence and ability to speak effectively. Students were also able to apply good public speaking techniques, including vocal control, posture, and mastery of material. This training received enthusiastic responses and is recommended to be continued through extracurricular activities to sustainably enhance students' public speaking skills.]]>

<![CDATA[Poetry training for MGMP Indonesian Language teachers in Kampar District is a strategic effort to improve literacy competence in writing and guiding students for the 2025 National Student Art Festival and Competition (FLS2N). This activity was implemented through an integrated approach that combines theory, hands-on practice, and technology-based mentoring, involving competent poets in the field. The results of the training showed significant improvements in the understanding of poetry structure and aesthetics, writing skills, as well as teachers' motivation to develop literacy communities in schools. The resulting poems, highlighting local wisdom with mature writing techniques, met the criteria for creativity and relevance to the FLS2N theme. In addition, the anthology of poems by teachers has the potential to become innovative teaching materials for literature learning in the classroom. This training not only has an impact on improving teacher competence, but also opens up opportunities for developing local culture-based poetry writing learning models.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the social values contained in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari. The focus of the study is directed at the depiction of social values such as social interaction, social conflict, and social change. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of words, sentences, and paragraphs contained in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari and the source of this research data is the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari, the third edition in 2023, consisting of 309 pages. The data collection technique in this study is the hermeneutic technique. The data analysis techniques used are coding, classification, analysis and data relationships. The results of the study show that the novel Home Sweet Loan contains social values that reflect the reality of people's lives, especially the younger generation. These values include: 1) social interaction is shown through the relationship between characters and family, partners, and peers. 2) Social conflicts that arise due to differences in values between generations, economic inequality, and the influence of social media. 3) Social changes in community values. The conclusion of this study is that Home Sweet Loan is a reflection of the social dynamics of modern society. This novel presents a realistic portrait of the challenges of life for the younger generation and is a reflective medium for understanding changes in social values and behavior in the digital era.]]>

<![CDATA[Phonological ability is a fundamental aspect of early childhood language development, closely linked to later literacy and communication skills. This study, titled "Phonological Ability of Early Childhood through Language-Based Play Activities at YLPI Riau Kindergarten," investigates the effectiveness of language-based play in enhancing phonological skills among young learners. The research is grounded in the understanding that play serves as a natural medium for language acquisition in early childhood education settings. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to explore how structured language-based play activities contribute to children's phonological development. The subjects of this study were children aged 4–5 years at YLPI Riau Kindergarten. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews with teachers, and documentation of children's play activities. Observations focused on children’s ability to recognize and manipulate sounds, including rhyming, syllable segmentation, and initial sound identification. Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis to identify patterns and themes related to phonological development during play. The analysis emphasized how specific types of language-based play—such as storytelling, rhyming games, sound matching, and singing—supported the development of phonological awareness in a playful and engaging context. The results revealed that language-based play activities significantly contributed to the improvement of children’s phonological abilities. Children showed increased awareness of sounds, improved pronunciation, and greater ability to distinguish phonemes. Teachers also played a key role by facilitating and scaffolding the play in ways that promoted language learning. In conclusion, language-based play activities are effective pedagogical tools for fostering phonological development in early childhood. The findings highlight the importance of integrating purposeful play in early education curricula to support foundational language skills in a developmentally appropriate manner ]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to describe the training activities for berbalas pantun to students' at SDN 005 Bukit Ranah. Elementary School 005 Bukit Ranah is a public school located on Jalan Pekanbaru-Bangkinang, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The majority of students at Elementary School 005 Bukit Ranah are of Malay ethnicity and culture. Almost all of the students use the local Malay language with the Kampar Malay dialect. As a Malay-based school, this school needs training in pantun reciprocation because the school is looking for students who are talented in pantun reciprocation. Training on writing pantun has been carried out but the activity did not focus on practicing pantun reciprocation even though the school needs talented students to take part in pantun reciprocation competitions. This training activity is carried out using lecture and practice methods. By holding pantun reciprocation training, students can later develop their talents and become representatives for pantun reciprocation competitions. This activity was attended by 25 members taken from representatives of classes 1-6. After participating in the training, a picture of participants who have talent in pantun reciprocation can be obtained by paying attention to the pantun reciprocation aspect.]]>
